In the landscape of my life
You don’t rush through any season
You always take Your time
A careful hand, a gentle guide
You take what’s dead away
And You prune what’s running wild
So be the gardener of my heart
Tend the soil of my soul
Break up the fallow ground
Cut back the overgrown
And I won’t shy away
I will let the branches fall
So what You want can stay
And what You love can grow
Through winter, I’m still alive
What You’ve planted in the dirt
Is ever reaching to the light
You prepare me for darkened times
You’ll sustain what You have started
And You’ll teach me to abide
Be the gardener of my heart
Tend the soil of my soul
Break up the fallow ground
Cut back the overgrown
And I won’t shy away
I will let the branches fall
So what You want can stay
And what You love can grow
I’ll remain in You
You’ll remain in me
And I will trust Your timing
I’ll remain in You
You’ll remain in me
From the start until the ending
So be the gardener of my heart
Tend the soil of my soul
Break up the fallow ground
Cut back the overgrown
And I won’t shy away
I will let the branches fall
So what You want can stay
And what You love can grow
Best version I’ve heard of this song. You can’t deny when something’s good
Wow that is so kind! Praise God 🤎🙌🏾
🤧☺️ Very beautiful but um... maybe put Jesus first instead of the very last few seconds of the song 😅👌
Thanks for listening Luis! I’d say it’s important to remember this song is actually written TO Jesus. So in the first line “In the landscape of my life, YOU don’t rush through any season. You always take your time.” When we say “you” we are referring to Jesus, right? We’re inviting Jesus to be the gardener of our hearts, we’re inviting Him to have His way with us.
The whole song is about Jesus, even if His name isn’t said till the end, but again thanks for listening! 😄
😅Well just saying the song feels void of the Truth of who it's for "YOU" does give meaning to who it's for YOU could mean me🤷 for all I know. If YOU means Jesus/God why not just say so in the song? Does that not give glory to him? Does that not sound more beautiful giving him praise in the sentence that is to whom the sentence is for? 🤔 "Jesus in the landscape of my life, you don't rush threw any season you always take your time"🤷 Adding and giving the name above all names the first word in the song and sentence gave power to that sentence but also meaning to what was said.
😅I Don't mean to be a B-word about this but I felt like something needed to be said maybe God told me to but 🤷 I'm just coming back but I felt something in my heart tell me "Say something for my sake, for the song was beautiful but I was not glorified threw it for I was not in it but only in the end I was given glory" I hope this word bless y'all in Jesus name.
This is a beautiful song, beautifully sung. That it has the Lord Jesus's name only at the end is just how the song writer composed it. Creativity doesn't always follow artificial rules. The Book of Esther doesn't even have God's name in it at all--even at the end! And yet it's as much God's word as the Book of John.
@@jeffreyokey160 🤔Your talking about the book of John and Esther both books that were a thing before Jesus was born? Regardless it's the word of god he's in it for it's his word. This is a song a tribute that's supposed to be for God just saying his name should be in it to start with, just like when you start a conversation you say hello to someone before you talk to them or say there name to address them not after your done the conversation.
