He really HAS grown and improved as a person, but sadly there are plenty of idiots who turn a blind eye to that to keep accusing him of shit he stopped doing YEARS ago. People on the internet LOVE doing that to anyone they don't like, in an attempt to discredit or slander them.
I'm glad you acknowledged this, I think you've *also* grown, too.
You know something I really find ironic? The same people who demand others change, are not only the ones who never *acknowledge* when they get what they want and their victims *do* change in a positive way, but they *themselves* are guilty of never changing, specifically *because* they refuse to acknowledge other people improve, and keep spouting their outdated opinions instead of updating their worldview to reflect the newer information and improvement in the character of others.
I'm sure you find that hilariously ironic too.

Yes, there are people who are total monsters and are far beyond saving, but the majority of most people are good hearted people, most people are human, humans have shortcomings and make mistakes, and mistakes are just that - mistakes. Nobody is hateful or prejudice, just dumb and don't know any better, it should never be that hard to understand that nor there is no excuse not to forgive it.

Enter I've been watching you since I was 12. I was a frumpy tween who hated the newer spongebob episodes and I guess I wanted some vindication over that, leading me to watching your reviews. I started slowly getting into your other videos as well and I watched you improve. I watched your style and your editing and your avatar change many times.
This decade has not been a good one for me mentally. I have had very difficult moments where I thought I couldn't even go on. I'd watch your videos just to take my mind off something. They're not important to my mental health, but they have comforted me in an odd way and kept me going.
They've inspired me to create my own stories, and to even attempt drawing and story telling. I have dreams, even if they probably won't come to a completion, I can still hope.
I am 21 now. I will be turning 22 this may. I have finally started to work on some of my goals and started some things in my life. I am now at what I can call "recovery" from severe depression, and I can't believe I can look back and realize just how long I've been watching you. You have kept going despite all of your controversy and flaws, and that gives me some hope for myself.
    Congratulations, and Thank you.

Back in august 2020 I was almost killed by the original strain of covid. I was 25 years old, there were no vaccines or immunisations. There wasn’t even a guarantee that I would live. Cardiac arrest, pneumonia and a week in intensive care led me to believe that my life was genuinely coming to an end before I even had a chance to do anything meaningful with my life. Then I saw your videos talking about the pandemic and not only was I insulted, I felt invalidated. I felt that I was merely an inconvenience and that for people like me to die was merely to be a minor inconvenience to a society all to eager to go back to the way things were. A speed bump in the road. It was hurtful, it broke my spirit to see collective humanity push the vulnerable to the front and say, it’s okay, these people don’t matter to us that much , you can take them. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for owning up the things you said in your videos. It takes a lot of guts to admit when you’re wrong and I have the utmost respect for you for doing so. Stay on the right track Mr Enter, you’re growing as a creator and more importantly as a person. Not everybody in this world gets a second chance, I hope you make the most of it.

personally, I've never hated Enter. I got a lot of information from his reviews. and some of the things he said in his older reviews made me laugh. even if he was angry. an example of something he did that I found funny would have to be his reaction to "The Plot Hole" from Smooth Jazz At Bikini Bottom. I really got a good laugh out of that one. not to mention I appreciate just how passionate he is towards what he does. we need people like that in the reviewing community as a whole. people who stand for what's right.

Regarding your #2 review, I'm glad that you acknowledged your fault in this. I've seen many other creators audiences go and harass someone, and when called out on it just say: "I never told them to harass this person." It's clearly something you did wrong which caused your audience to act this way.
You did mention in your 2018 Talking about my Online Harassment video that it should've been obvious that you never said specifically for the people you've shown on screen they should be harassed, but you also acknowledged your part in this. When you show names of people and say stuff like: "these people should be ashamed of themselves and blacklisted from animation," it should be obvious that someone out there would think it's okay to harass them.
As for your Pandemic videos, no, I don't think it's a cop-out one bit to tell people if your opinions have changed at all. The U.S. in particular has an awful habit of making things political when they aren't, and it constantly brings out the worst in people, which is one of many things other countries rightfully look down on us for.
Here's to a good future for all of us, you included.

"Every day I get a little bit wiser, and realize that yesterday i was a complete idiot."
Shows a lot of humility to take a critical look at yourself and bring it to light rather than just shoving it behind you.
About #1: people can make mistakes for many reasons. And I'm sure you'd agree with me when I say that those who willingly turn their backs on what they believe in purely out of fear of something else don't *fully* believe in those things as much as they thought they did, or that they let other things take precedence.
To quote Kennedy: "Forgive your enemies, but *remember their names* ."
37:05 "It was never my place to talk about any of this to begin with"
Dood, you were talking about YOUR LIFE, you shouldn't feel forced to "shut up" about it; It IS good to vent out your frustrations, and I can understand why "expressing personal feelings" might not be a good "professional move". But bottling up those feelings without some kind of outlet would've made you WORSE. Hard topics require asking hard questions from multiple angles. If you want to have a "more personal" channel, or Patreon exclusives, then that would be a great place for them. But don't feel ashamed for WHY you made them.

    10 years. Congratulations man.
I started watching you in 2019, after Phantom Striders collaboration with you. I myself was not in a healthy situation, or healthy place. During 2020 I was in a state of just going day by day, constant fear of someone coming to my door. Your videos, old and new, helped me. Even in the ones you were ranting and angry in, like Elf Bowling and Patrick's a Prick, I would rewatch because it felt calming. To see someone that sounded angry, helped put mind to rest, to see I was not the only mad one who had those feelings in the world. They made me laugh, made me smile with joke you would squeeze in. It helped me escape. They inspired me to look more into animation and writing, which is now what I try to do. Today I'm doing better. I have a support network, I don't live in fear, and I'm still here watching. What I have to say is thank you, and I can wait to see you go up from here.

To talk about your popularity in your earlier days
It wasn't just you. This was the era where people (particularly social awkward pre-teens) loved assholes and individuals who don't value the feelings of others because it was "funny" or cathartic.
There was leafy, Keemstar, and a whole bunch of unfunny jerks like Doug Walker.
But the difference is that those guys stayed relatively popular, which meant they never got to grow up and change. They still got their paychecks and never had to answer their screw ups.
Taking accountability doesn't have to mean you have to live in regret of your past decisions. It could also mean you got the chance no one else in these situations usually gets

I've seen a lot of creators I once adored become worse over time. Their content may become shinier or more polished, but the heart is lost or they begin to focus on the wrong things and alienate their audience. I think the opposite happened to you. there is a valid underlying complaint that the setting should matter when creating a piece of media and it should be more than just an aesthetic. but it was the worst possible specific example to use for that issue
it kind of reminds me of when a gaming critic named george wood said that in the future there should be a tomb raider game about lara croft getting breast cancer. the underlying idea was that female charaacters in games open up story ideas based on the female experience which can be agreed with, the example given for that was so bad that it is legendarily awkward and hilarious.

If it helps, with the pandemic videos, your key point, that mental health wasn't being looked after enough, was true. You might have said everything around that point badly, you might have dismissed the physical health side, but even at the time, it was clear they were coming from a place of deep pain, not an attempt to deny the pandemic, just a lashing out against the ways the pandemic response deeply hurt people, even if there wasn't a better choice.
Now, it wasn't a particularly well-thought-out lashing out, and for people who weren't suffering as badly it might have encouraged them to unsafe behaviours - but I don't think that was your intent. However, as someone who was living in a one-bedroom flat (apartment) in Scotland, where the lockdown only allowed a maximum of one hour a day outside the house for months, with a bed needing replaced that I couldn't get replaced; with things breaking in the flat that I wasn't able to get fixed, you were the only person I saw that made me feel seen, even if it was mixed up with a load of bad takes.
This was a bold video, pointing out your flaws. But I hope you know that even in those flaws, you did have some strengths. Be introspective. But don't let it turn into self-hatred.

Watching you has been quite the roller coaster. From loving you, to hating you, to loving you again, to hating you again, and so on. I started watching you when I was a dumb kid in Middle School who took internet reviewers words as gospel. If something someone said on the internet is bad, then it must be bad. God forbid I dare have my own opinions.
As a kid, I wanted to make reviews. Be it of movies, video games, whatever. And in the concepts for reviews I came up with, I took the absolute worst from your old videos. I tried to make a villain out of M.A. Larson for writing a few MLP episodes I didn't like. I tried to claim Robert Shearman should be fired from writing for BBC because I hated his Doctor Who episode "Dalek". I would get unreasonably angry at the most benign shit and say random things I thought made sense to try and make a point. I... can only be glad I never actually followed through in making any of these.
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, you've said and done some pretty dumb shit. Some dumb shit that made me want to never watch your content again. I almost didn't click on this video when I saw it in my feed. But I think the thing that always keeps me coming back is how honest you are, and how willing you are to do right when you realize your mistakes. That is what, more than anything, separates you from the scummiest of the scum. You change and you grow. You hit rock bottom sometimes, but you always manage to climb back up.
Overall, my feelings on your are... complicated. It's hard to say that I like you... but it's equally hard to say I dislike you. And I'm definitely not neutral on it. I think in part because I see a lot of me in you. If nothing else... I respect you. You're able to stay true to yourself. Even if it's not exactly good. And I look forward to seeing where this crazy ride goes next.
