I want to thank Chef AJ and Dr. Tarman for doing this video. It is very eye-opening. I still can't figure out which one I am--the addict or the emotional eater. The one thing that I found it difficult to relate to was when she kept saying cherries. I think it would have made more sense to me if she had used ice cream or chocolate cake, or something like that, as examples of a food addiction but it is possible that she didn't want to use what someone would consider a trigger food. My problem is definitely not cherries though so I need to make the connection in my head when she mentions those.

Brilliant. Great practical descriptions and inspiration to strengthen my LFWFPO recovery from T2D with aspiration for freedom from 7 meds. No more addictive Calorie Rich And Processed non-foods.

Thank you for your work A.J. I just found you this week and have been binge watching. My question that I haven't seen anyone address yet is: about 20 minutes after I have eaten my meal I suddenly get very cold and have to put on a coat take a 20 - 40 minute nap and then I am up and running again. Why does my body temperature do this is it something that I need to get checked out? You have helped me clean out my cupboards and reinvented my life this week. Also, I am having difficulty finding your UWL program to see if I should sign up as I have no (zero) support group.

This is so interesting. I think that’s why eating seasonal fruits & veggies exciting. I always look forward to mangosteen season. I could eat an entire kilogram in 1 sitting but after that, i’m done for the year. The same applies to durian & mango. These days seasonal fruits are available year round lessening the exciting to just meh.

Of course no one over eats non-starchy vegetables which were used for the examples. What about the people (me) who over eat healthy starched based foods potatoes, oats, brown rice, beans, etc? Inspired by the Spudfit Guy I at only potatoes for a month (white potatoes, sweet potatoes, onion, garlic, salt, steamed and mashed) on average I ate 10 to 12 pounds of potatoes per day, didn't lose any weight, didn't gain weight (surprisingly) and my appetite didn't decrease... I don't really see an option other than to count and limit calories.

Same here, there’s so much content from Vegan Doctors helping to get rid of binge eating on junk, but vegans who overeat on healthy stuff (honestly, I get up at night to binge eat apples, basically anything that’s super clean, so I feel you when u said potatoes!) are kind of overlooked

This talk exuasted me. Her book is similar to this talk. The book is mostly clients case histories . Very little on actually on how to reverse food addiction. She repeats herself over and over. You want to say to her ok, ok I'm a food addict . Now tell me how to change.
