May I ask where you got the book “The Chilin Purse” from? I am in Egypt and I cannot find it anywhere. If you know where I can find it in Egypt, I would be grateful to you.
Hi. I believe I got it off of an online used book store - either thriftbooks.com or betterworldbooks.com I am not sure if they ship to Egypt or if it's really expensive, but you could check it out. I am sorry, I live in the United States so I don't have a great idea of where to find things in other countries.
May I ask if you found any art activities related to this time period? As I understand that Artistic Pursuits does not cover Ancient China. Many thanks
You could try to make some clay soldiers based on the terracotta warriors, or do some Chinese printing. You are right that Artistic Pursuits does not include China. If you want to do something similar, you could find a piece of art from the time period and then use it as inspiration for your own. Good luck!
I know this is a year old but I am currently teaching my 3rd grader about ancient china. We have made clay terracotta soldiers, clay ancient Chinese money, scrolls, and ancient Chinese books out of popsicle sticks. Today we made tangrams and played with them.
