Using lg from since 2011 and til this day can't find a single negative word to say about lg.
lg is an angel
@@JordanPeterson. lg is also done with the phone game
Switch to Galaxy for a month, you'll find plenty to say
@@NotAlwaysBilly No Sir can't do it.
I did back in 2011 didn't like it.
The negative is you can't get half of your money back once you done. The resell value is low.
Using LG velvet a very beautiful phone and have a very good experience so far
How is it now?
Lg velvet battery never dies!
As a person who was very confused at the start of this video, you sure were able to make me weigh my options very well. I'm choosing to get the Velvet... The difference for me on both these devices are really not far apart. Great video 👌🏼
Bad choice because the 120hz display on s21 is completely mind blowing
@@luccianoblock5127 but that dont matter though for someone that's just choosing a phone
@@samuelhere41 no it matters
@@luccianoblock5127 ok if you say so

I picked up the LG Velvet 5G 2 months old for $300. Mint condition.
Where?
@@NotAlwaysBilly prolly ebay
@@NotAlwaysBilly Amazon has them BRAND NEW for $299. Ebay has them brand new for $275. You can get refurb units for under $250.
Thank you for the video. One question, are you getting updates on your att unlocked phones?
Hey bud. I wanted to see if you can see if you’re having the same issues and maybe cover it in a vid. Many new s21 phones seem to overheat when using anything where media is involved such as viewing yt, recording vids, creating bitmojis, etc. Thanks.
My last two phones were Lg, LG G6 and now LG VELVET 5G .Both phones are great . I am very happy with my LG VELVET it has everything i need compare with the S21 which doesn't have expandable storage and 3.5 jack. Its a bit same that LG shut down the mobile phones division. I recommend highly LG VELVET which is truly a flagship phone and now it can be found also in great price and upgrades for 3 years.
The LG V60 form factor is a little wider and a little heavier but it's the better phone to buy if someone's trying to decide between LG phones. I have both and I'd recommend the V60 over the Velvet to just about anyone who can spare the extra $100 to get one. Faster processor, bigger battery, better cameras, more/better microphones, and my favorite...the QUAD DAC headphone jack. The Velvet has a headphone jack, but it doesn't have the QUAD DAC that's usually paired with LG phones. Another weird thing about the Velvet is they have different variants and depending on the carrier, the camera placement will be physically different so there's no universal case design possible. You have to be careful with what you're ordering to ensure you get a case or accessory that will fit properly...which is pretty lame...they should've stuck to a single design for all their Velvet variants so sorting through accessories wouldn't be so frustrating.
@@beyondbasedthe Velvet in 2023 is half the price of the V60. I wanted the V60 over the Velvet but I couldn’t justify paying paying double. My only complaint is the camera isn’t that great. The form factor really grew on me, the long screen is easy to hold.
Man, this is actually a very well done comparison. Very nice.
Can u do a galaxy s10 vs lg velvet comparison?
i have the 4g version of the Velvet with the sd845, and this socc gives me much better gaming performance
Which version is that? I just purchased the version for verizon.
Just got the 4g sd845 brand new for 220usd . Alot of phone 4 the money
You can get one (LG VELVET) now for about $200, some are $189. great deal
Where u get the wallpaper on the lg velvet???? I like it
I feel when theres a speed test and its a few seconds diff its not that big of a deal. The average user wont even notice 1-3 second difference
I dont know why there is so much hate toward the lg lol i had the v60 , the velvet and loved them as much as my note 20 ultra and z3 fold i actualy broke my fold and now im back on the velvette and my life is still going good lmao
Terrific video! If people are considering the S21, the best cross purchase is the LG G8...maybe the perfect phone. If you can live without 5G and the 888 processor, the blows the S21 out of the water. Real 3D face unlock, a 3.5mm headphone jack, the 32-bit Hi-Fi QuadDAC, 6.1-inch OLED; 3,120x1,440, 564 ppi screen, and the still-powerhouse Snapdragon 855. All this for $309 or so, brand-new...with LG's 2-year Second Year Promise warranty.
Thats a savings of $500.
Naa LG probably stop making phones so there worth are going to be absoluete sheet bro
@@pkboss8324 You can buy a brand-new LG G8 with a 2-year warranty for $300. And it has a headphone jack, expandable memory, a much better camera and video...and it costs $500 less.
@@pkboss8324 Let give my opinion i used all Lg G series phones Excpet Lg g5 i liked everything about Lg .Samsung and apple are too overpriced if you ask me Lg does it better you can buy a new phone every 1 to 2 years
Lmfao not even close dude
@@hoppysport2872 I had a g8 went to a s20 fe and the camera and battery is much better on the s20fe
Matthews Tech could you possibly send me a link where to buy transparent case for the Velvet T mobile version thnx bro🤳👍
Looking in my LG Velvet but the version that take the Snapdragon 845 and i can say its a really fast phone and works perfectly i buyed the phone in october 2021 and works better and better and. I came from Samsung s7 s6 plus , Note 8 and in the past i had an LG g3 and was a great phone too i m happy with this phone and for two years i dont think replace them
I care most about screen resolution, brightness and pixel density. How do they compare between Samsung S21 vs LG Velvet?
LG Velvet
S21 is not worth the price in general, better comparison is S20 vs Velvet just because S21 is such a sad and very weak "improvement" over S20 besides the rear design... in this comparison I would easily choose LG Velvet but depending on what kind of a price you could get S20, I might objectively prefer / suggest S20 even though as an LG fan I would still probably get the Velvet 😁
The S20FE is probably the best value phone right now, you can find it under $500 on swappa. The Velvet is great value but it's just too big and doesn't have a high refresh rate display plus updates aren't fast at all.
no earphone jack and way too big XD
@@namelesssnitchy the LG has a 3.5 jack.
I love the LG V50,🙏🙏🙏🙏😘♥️
I would love for you to check out the Motorola edge 5G unlocked see what you think about that one post screen issues
lost a bid for it on ebay, but still looking.
@@matthews-tech gotcha yeah this phone really got held back because of the screen issues and the way that they were pricing it from the beginning but yeah you should definitely get a decent deal on it wherever you find it but it's a really good phone.
@@allenblaine2793 I was considering it as I'm in the market. One look on the motorola forum changed my mind.
@@alexanderrahl482 yeah it don't have the best track record Motorola didn't do a good job with the softwareand that turned a lot of people off because they paid a decent amount of money for the edge and so it got a bad rap that's on MotorolaI have the edge and I no longer have the screen issues and it took about four to five software updates gradually to get it finally straightened out
@@allenblaine2793 Used moto for years. But the damage is done for me. Shame though. Probably angling for S21 or Mi 11 when it globally drops.
Many ppl dont know but lg has a feature where u can't hide sensitive files.
Can't or can
All phones do
Spend half the price and get more battery life and a headphone jack. This is a no brainer.
Inferior camera though...
But shit I'll take those two over thay
@@Matanumi The camera isn't that bad on the Velvet
Only if this of wasn't so freakin tall I would have gone for it
if any phone maker removes the sd card slot then i wont be buy their phone
Unfortunately they are doing away with them. The velvet 5G is the last and S20 is last one
"For some reason it's better on the velvet". You hadn't seen that coming, had you now. Haha.
I always like compact phones. I don't know how people feel LG
Velvet looks nicer
Lg velvet nice price
Guys stay away from LG phones I have tried 3 times and all 3 times I ran into problems. Recently with LG v60. I keep have to restart the phone because calls come in but it auto ends the call. Very buggy.
Hey i know this is very late but i bought the velvet and i also came across with the same problem. I figured it out though. It's the VOLTE. I had to turn it off and its okay now. What happens is the phone prioritizes VOLTE when making and receiving calls. But if you are in an area where LTE connection is weak, it cant make and receive that call. So just turn it off and it should work fine.
I have the velvet and it looks good on paper but the os is complete ass. Swapping between apps, transitioning from one app to another, gestures, connecting bluetooth devices and opening apps. Expect all these to fail on you multiple times a day, needing to turn on off bluetooth, opening closing apps ect.... Im taking it back for sure.
I've had my velvet for close to 2 years now and I have none of these issues. This phone has been the best phone I've had in at 6 years and I'm really struggling to find anything outside of the s21 and s22 ultras that are worth the money as a replacement. Everything else just seems adequate and not an improvement.
I love my S21. My last 2 phones were Lg.
I know you love everything LG does. But come on man their skin is far from being close to stock android, I've been using my v60 for awhile and the ui looks like something from 5 years ago lol
@@ljgehd outdated ui with no updates lol
@@ljgehd how about software update on the lg velvet? is still got update for now? i consider to buy velvet, i appreciate if u can help me to sharing about this device. thanks before
@@ljgehd i'm not sure in my country what models available. What if got the models t mobile? won't it get updates? i still remember buy LG G5 models AT&T, and stuck on android 7, if want updates must connect to the AT&T provider :(
Damn my Velvet doesn't have screen recorder lol.
It should be in your toggles hit the edit button it may be hidden.
@@matthews-tech it isn't anywhere on the phone. I side loaded the apk,and it adds it to settings and tiles but 2 seconds in it crashes. So I dunno.
@@matthews-tech I'm on the T mobile variant though. For all the positive reviews it got for being superior there are alot of things nobody bothered to mention.

Samsung phones and iPhones are fanboy phones. They are over rated. Just like Beyoncé and Whitney Huston . I Samsung will all ways be second choice. You can keep the gimmicks
flat display
Gotta go with the Samsung s21. I love high refresh rates and the fact Samsung will continue to make phones gives me the impression that LG phones won’t be worth squat soon.
You should do Less talking and more practical visual in hand explanations
