Cleaning the dyson fan could be the pain in the a** and everyone who is using this fan has this problem. The airflow is not working after 1 year. So, how to solve this? Watch this video
We got this for the toddler room ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxdzUap46p9ViXhKZf5mK_bXOb89EHxTqq because of the bladeless feature. Actually has a lot more power than I thought it would. Can still feel the air moving well 6 feet away, which is farther than I would expect from a desk fan. My daughter dropped twice and still works. I haven't checked out how long it lasts on a charge yet, but the air output was still good for the few minutes it was unplugged. My daughter also likes the color lights feature, but I don't really care for it and can be annoying to go through all the options before it turns off. Overall, happy with the purchase, especially for the price
I spray my mixture of Vinegar and water...wipe it down. Let sit overnight. Then use my vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment. All done!!! Never do I sit and poke at the air vents! Works perfect everytime 👍
I have the same problem with the same model fan as you do. I got mine in June 2021 and only used it during the summer period. The fan is guaranteed for 2 years. I phoned Dyson and they send out spar part replacements for the machine free of charge while it’s under the guarantee. They sent me out a new body. I am wondering if a whether a small shaver brush might work to clean it or even a very powerful vacuum cleaner with a powerful suction. It’s just a thought. Thank you for your video and showing me it can be clean very satisfactorily. Even though it’s extremely time consuming and one needs the patients of a saint to clean it every few months. Take a roll of first aid medical gauze from any store. Wrap it around that intake and cut to length. Use a piece of tape if you like. Turn it on. The pressure will keep the gauze sticking to the surface and filter out anything large enough to cause problems and when it gets dirty you can throw the gauze away and replace. I do not recommend taking it apart and attempt to put filter material on the inside. You have to take apart 4 layers of plastic to get to the bottom which is a real pain. And it is very easy to mess up re-assembling if you don't take a few pictures as you go along.
I use a paint brush and bash the holes. Also, you can take the motor out if you remove the black holding plate in the fan and then clean from the back of the holes too.
How do you get the top part of the air blade off. Before I fixed my unit by going in from the bottom. And that is very hard to take apart. SO how do u get the top part off. Thanks
Disassemble completely and soak the vented portion in a pot of warm water with dawn dish soap for an hour. Take a air compressor and air nozzle and blow all of the water out of the small vent holes. Use a towel to squeeze dry the foam ring that’s inside the vented portion. Reassemble opposite as you took apart. Take pictures prior to disassembly.
I literally took a toothbrush and brushed it all away while holding a vacuum go suck up the dust. Took a minute or two. This is a complete waste of time.
google for Dyson am07 disassembly instructable or this video (similar model): ua-cam.com/video/Z_pMTZlcBEY/v-deo.html You need a torq 8 to open the am07, that's pretty much it. However, the machine is actually aligned very tightly together. Needs to be put back carefully. As such, minor cleaning like this has it's place.
A pipe cleaner will work much better as it will brush away the dust not just push it in and you need to clean the entire hole. Brush pick for tooth braces is good as well for those of us that are anal about stuff like this.you can glue several close together to a popsicle stick to get at several at a time. Then vacuum to touch up.
This fan is utter garbage. What "genius" engineer designed this ? We only have one because my wife won one at work. It looks cool, but doesnt blow more air than one you can buy at Walmart for $30, and this fan is louder. Those holes plug so easily, and if you put it in the bathroom where hairspray is used, forget about it
The quality of Dyson products is overrated and It is not normal or funny for a product to be so complicated to clean. I will never buy a Dyson product!
Seriously? You have to up your editing skills, even with fast forward, it’s such a waste of time. You’re not even touching the surface of the cleaning required👎
more than half the video was on how you just poked each and every hole, I think 1 minute of it and everyone gets the idea, unless each hole is unique and has to be poked differently :)

Thank you for the tip
Are you disseamble vacuum or?
@@tom6699 I do not have to disassemble the unit
@@Wshalom71 you're welcome 😊
Oh my... The vacuum is all you need. I'm sorry you spent all that time.
The music really bought the video to life. Added suspense.

I use a vacuum with brush attachment. It gets the job done in 1 minute.

It's got to be a better way.. Thanks for the video

Tequila double shot, then ask nicely...usually works with my missus

Or just use a vacuum. 1 minute tops
This is why I decided to buy their purifier variants. No more hole poking as the dust will be stuck in the filters.
I haven't believed in your advice, anyways it works. 👍
I was hoping for a more engineered approach, this seems like a video showing manual poking of holes
I feel you
Typically, hole poking is quite satisfying. This situation, not so much.
Why can’t u vacuum that vent on base
I’ve tried using a tooth brush but it still needed more. I will try this idea. Thanks
there are several retention clips on the top of the back part, you would need to push them in to disassemble future
How many people just went to next video just because he is talking non stop !!!! and who is watching this during lockdown
Thank you for the video it helped with mine
Omg what a genius.
Yeah f that I’m throwing this shit away and getting a box fan 🤣🤣
I use an old toothbrush to clean the intake holes
This is extremely counterproductive. Just vacuum it or use a lead blower to blow the dust out/through
Thank you for sharing.
I use crevice tool with brush on the end
Normally I just run the vacuum with the brush attachment and then stick a little screwdriver in to get the deep down dirt

Painfull to watch.there are only 3 screws holding the top motor housing in which slides out revealing tbe fan to clean.
Is it me or is the paint chipping off? It seems like that’s what all the black stuff is.
smoker or just dirty air if he lives in China
I took a toothbrush and it did the trick very fast than I vacuum, all was gone
use a hairbrush hun much more efficient ..... one of those soft bush ones x much easier
You can use tooth braces brush will work much faster
Who fast forwarded it 😅 be honest now.
Kipas saya kalau on bau hangit, kenapa ye?
Omg
Your suppose to take motor out all you done is push dirt into motor lol
there has to be a better way
I take my dyson vacuum cleaner with a brush on the wand and suck the dirt out

Haha. 3-4 Hours? Just vacuum it bro. Fastest way lol
A vacumm cleaner helps😉!
I'm not a fan of this video, it really blows. Just kidding, thanks for the help.
I used a toothbrush and pressed much faster, maybe cleaner too

Asi mismo te limpiaras el jopo, cochino
Wow
Just use a brush or vacuum cleaner forgot seek Hahaha.
This product is great? You got to be kidding... I presume you are not a engineer. If you are, you wouldn't say this is great.
Lol high 5!!!
What a waste of time watching this video when my helper is already doing this all along and its NOT EFFECTIVE. Well thanks.
Buy canned air will be a lot faster.
The quality of Dyson products is overrated and It is not normal or funny for a product to be so complicated to clean. I will never buy a Dyson product!
It looks pathetic, I won't use it
Stupid way to clean it.

Its OK you waste your time but dont waste mine.
Who would clean all those holes like that?
U r ridiculous
U r talk is too much
Horrible video
Solution.. Don't buy this overpriced ineffective crap fan
