Wish I’d seen this video before watching the other methods on UA-cam - this is the way to do it - lid fixed in minutes with this tutorial - thanks!

Thank you. Great advice popping the larger piece out. I had been trying other ways for almost and hour. Your tutorial had the lid back together in minutes. 🥳

So much easier (and more sensible) than the other methods on UA-cam! Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this fix. I am a caffeine addict that spilled humongous amounts of coffee before I aquired my Contigo and I was devastated when it came apart. I will give a small bit of advice if I may, and that is, it would be so much better if you had more light on your project. But nevertheless I tried to use another video fix and yours is the only way. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! So much easier than other suggestions. Agree with the other comments though, it’s hard to see what you’re doing.

*Brilliant idea to take out the larger piece and assemble the two together OUTSIDE of the lid.*
Definitely the easier way vs just trying to get the 1 piece back while the larger piece is still mounted. Thank you!

Lifesaver, told the girlfriend to clean hers and that popped out. I almost worked it out myself but was on the path to making it much harder than this. Thanks!

Thank you! I found I could do it without removing the piece you introduce at 1:23. I simply pushed it in a little so the first piece with the springs on it could easiy go on without the wall in the way.

Awesome dude. Bit tricky seeing how to unclip the second piece as the video was very dark but got there. Someone more cynical than me might wonder if the manufacturer made it this tricky to fix in order to sell more lids/ mugs...not me of course, I believe that they are honest and it's just tricky to fix them 😬

Thank you so much!!! This was very helpful to see, how to take the lid apart almost completely. I was not able to put it in without removing the second part of the lid. Thank you!

5/30/24. But you never say anything about where to find a new cover seal or how to install it. That can be critical to a repair. Thank you.

Hello. I had to take out the 2cd part as you explained so I could get the spring part inside it. I’ve done that fine. Now I can’t get the whole thing back in. This video is the only one showing it this way and it’s so dark and I can’t work out how to get the whole thing back into the wholes. It seems impossible. Can anyone help?

It really is impossible to get the spring ends on those notches without removing the 'push to clean' part. I was seriously struggling until I watched this.

Video starts at 1:10. The first minute and ten seconds define the problem and how NOT to fix it, which you probably already know, since you searched for this video.

Videography was very rough. Get some light on the subject and use something to point to the location you are referring to. Much of the time the lid/components were not even on screen. Also predetermine what you are going to call various parts, and script your demonstration. You may hate me for these comments, but you will make better videos with a little constructive criticism. Or, just ignore my comments and go on making poor quality videos. Your choice.
