Can’t believe the military lost against this fools tbh
I can tbhhh, between the armed purgers having a big ass head start, the fact they were able to attack emergency services and first responders, the fact they can’t tell apart purgers and regular civilians, the mass chaos that makes any city combat even more impossible than fighting in a city already is, and the fact they’re probably very heavily outnumbered and most likely cut off.
I mean things like this have happened before tbh
I can because at this point this is a full-on rebellion across the continental United States, meaning the Armed forces have to split up in order to cover more ground, meaning it’s harder to liberate fallen city’s.
Also the NFFA can’t use their full military because they are still stationed in other countries as well.
@@johnnyboi1125 don’t forget the rebels also have a 12 hour headstar from the night prior, first responders and government were completely overwhelmed, and dozens of civilians and independent militias are caught in the crossfire, nearly impossible to identify who’s who
@@ryancamara5689 If I was the president of the US in this situation, I would issue the following warning- You must be indoors within 24 hours or the army will assume anyone outside is a purger. After 24 hours , if you are still outside the army has free reign to detain you or kill you at its discretion.

For a moment i thought they did film at El Paso when i saw the De Soto Hotel and the Reagan next to it. Sad it wasnt filmed here but they did get most of it right, wish more films were made here in place tho to show off more of the city and landscape

i dont get how tf the purgers got access to an RPG but what bothers me the most is how the purgers were able to RAID multiple US military bases on one night and how the military werent able to stop them despite being well trained with tanks.
U do realize soldiers are just regular people right? We see on the news that they sell intel to our enemies to sexually abuse their own comrades. If this was in real life half if not most on the military would turn against each other

Well if you put some logic into it, in the saga many people take out permits to purge and vent, including police and military, it may be that part or half of the army are purgers, in addition, in the film it is implied that the endless purge occurs throughout the country at the same time, if a rebellion breaks out in 50 states at the same time, where people shoot each other and everyone, the army does not know who is who and does not distinguish between the purgers, the non-purgers and civilians, that would burn anyone.

The soldiers you see in this movie acting on behalf of the NFFA (Notice I say the "soldiers" NOT the NFFA itself) the soldiers you see ARE the acting military body in this universe. Given that Marshal law was declared they were deployed BY the NFFA (which is a corrupt fascist branch of the government WHO HAS the authority in this fictional setting to declare martial law and deploy US troops) So the people with the guns and tanks you see ARE US military personnel. (It was HEAVILY implied with the fact they have a fully functional Abrams tank that is capable of firing its main gun which civilians are NOT supposed to have or use during the purge LET ALONE in city limits) Oddly enough with the appropriate licenses. Texas is one of the few states that allow you to have a fully functional tank (Not a modern one) but that is besides the point of this.
(During the broadcast when they were at the gas station, the news literally implied "The US Military will be deployed to contain the issue")
