    Bro I also planning to buy this bike in early 2021. I am 5.9 and heavy weighted. My purpose is daily office ride of 40 km in total and occassional touring with pillion. I live in Northbengal, there is no issue of traffic but hilly roads. My preferable speed is under 100km/hr. So my question is- is it suitable for me. My main concern is comfort with pillion, reliable millage (35 is happy digit for me).

    • @bikerinyou3521
      @bikerinyou3521  4 роки тому +16

      Definitely.. this would be very much comfortable at hilly areas as it has got all the torque coming into play at the initial gears and that's why at low rpm also you'll be able to accent hilly roads/ghaat roads easily... even I go out with pillion.. and from many people I have taken their experiences.. and it's far far better than classic 350 pillion seat.. it's broader and gives comfort...
      Again himalayan is made for your purpose... bike for you.. do send a pic when u buy it.. but while buying check out everything carefully before taking the delivery... I hope u have a wonderful experience ahead

      Thank you very much for replying. Actually i have seen a lot of issues in UA-cam such as tapping sound in engine, some of having only 22km millage, alienmemt problem etc. That's why a bit of confusion.

      In the beginning it gave around 20-22 avg.. after 1st service it went to 25+.. and the service centre told me that after wnd service it will give around 30kmpl...
      And for all these the company has issued SOPs and once done.. bike becomes normal and perfect.. u don't need to worry.. hopefully u get a bike without any issue... otherwise sop will sort it out anyways ..

    Is it better then bs4 in the matter of issues
    Bcz bs4 had 43 spare complaint
    Apart from handle bar and false gear I didn't find much of an issue
    If there is any other issues like coneset problem

      Thank you Akarsh ..
      I brought it to their notice immediately at the showroom itself ..
      Handle bar and also about the cone set as I was aware of the issue of cone set by many of co riders..
      At that time they didn't believe and said that it's just a normal handle bar issue and they later on replaced it..

    Ktm 390 Adventure or Himalayan??
    I'm planning for a new bike. Confused between this two. Himalayan has so many complaints from owners. So what is ur suggestion? How is the vibration?

    • @bikerinyou3521
      @bikerinyou3521  4 роки тому +1

      Bro.. Himalayan bs6 is 2.3 onroad... ktm 390 adv is 3.5.. but there's a lot of power difference also.. himalayan is 24.5bhp .. 390 is 42bhp...
      Vibrations : Himalayan bs6 is quite smooth.. noticeable vibration occurs after 6500rpm .. that's like when u rev it too hard..
      My suggestion: if u have a budget for 3.5 lakhs go for the ktm390adv .. other wise himalayan is best.. check it properly at the time of delivery

      @@bikerinyou3521 Actually I already own a Ktm Duke 390, old model.
      So I'm a bit confused. If I haven't had a Ktm, definitely I'll choose the 390 Adventure.

    • @bikerinyou3521
      @bikerinyou3521  4 роки тому

      @@pritam2904 The rider's sitting position on himalayan is quite comfortable.
      getting on to it might be a bit tricky, otherwise your height is sufficient for himalayan.
      But if u shift to himalayan from KTM .. definitely you'll miss the power output.. but overall Himalayan would standout in terms of power, throttle response and ride quality...
      Cruising and Adventure and commuting all can be done on this.. Value for money proposition it is.

      Servicing cost is also very less on this.. my second servicing of Himalayan was around 1100 rupees .. oil change included
      Coming on to the mileage it is very low for daily commuting in heavy city traffic .. and becomes worst on normal fuel..
      U have to put premium or plus or extra mileage fuel .. whatever it is called in different places ..
      In city it would give u around 25-27 kmpl and on long tours .. avg mileage you'll get would be around 30-32kmpl

      It's all iron.. sound will be there... again it's normal.. incase it's more than normal in your case... ask the service centre to look after it immediately otherwise it might break too.. cuz that's generally due to improper shifting of gear plates inside...

    Hi Bro,
    Appreciate the way u explained the 10 points. What I feel that u r not perfect to ride & own RE Himalayan. Bcoz yes there are scope of improvement but its not the demerits. Yes False gear issue was seen even in my Himalayan too. The reasons like tubeless tyre, gap in front mud guard, gap on side-shields, etc. actually these are not the issues. Mudguard can be adjusted as per riders choice depending upon the type of destination he is selecting. Plz study about why there is no tubeless tyre in RE Himalayan & I am sure u will love the reason. Side-shields can be tighten. I think u need more practice to handle this bike. Sorry if it hurts u, mine bike is 2019 BS-iv model doing perfect. There is no false fuel indication.

    Bro, bikes with spokes wheel never comes with tubeless tyres.
    And Himalayan is a pure off roader bike,where spokes wheel are durable than Alloy ones,because spoke wheels can just bend whereas alloy wheels can straight away crack and are not repairable.
