Great set up its almost like my pond filter system. Never thought of it for use with gray water filter. You also can use uni-seals reasonably cheap and they work really good on buckets and barrels and pipe we use them in our koi pond dyi systems
He doesn't show a demonstration showing the grease floating. He just talks and talks and points with the stick. I sped up the video to see a demonstration but no. He just showed plastic chips floating. The small buckets would fill quickly with garbage and grease, then need to be replaced.
Why wouldn't you put 2" pipe on the bottom of the San tees a couple inches from the bottom of the bucket so you won't have to clean the system as often?
We always have some big soda bottles around. Just wonder if we can build some kind of grease trap and filter to turn shower room and kitchen graywater into irrigation water.
great informative video - clear explanation. Would you be able to run two pipes into the one bucket? I was thinking of running the shower waste and vanity basin outlets into the one greasetrap - given that both waste outlets would not be running into the bucket at the one time. Do you think it would work? Cheers mate
So if you use this option for a washing machine, would you be able to put enzymes to break all of the soap sludge down or will it just run through too quickly from the bucket to work?
So when you vacuum and also thinking about your septic system with the trash can with you vacuum from the outlet on top or open up to run the vacuum nozzle all the way to the bottom? I have a failing gray water system where there's about an inch of slugs on the bottom and not sure how to prevent that.

Great video mate thanks from Australia, finding ways around the housing crisis bullshit
Im about to modify your system for a washing machine . Thanks buddy. Great video
This is really great. Well done. Clear clean explanation. Love your accent. How do you clean it out?
He explains this at around 10:30

sounds like what I will try-- he said not to go down more than a few inches but didn't say why
Maybe the water would just drain to the bottom, no standing water, and then you just have all the greece and junk flowing out with the other water.
I’ve seen some diagrams with an overflow at water level to the sewer that automatically allows the floating scum to exit
Great video! Great voice as well. Just love it!
Great idea! Will install this at my river house. Thanks!

You could join the two waste traps with a "Y" fitting into one 👍
Brilliant. Thanks.
Thanks and best wishes from Kerala, India
So would this work for things like bath and laundry water as well?

Grate video mate

The buckets will get brittle and break eventually.
Love your work mate ! 👍
LOVE IT
This guy sounds like he’s spent some time as a wrestler in WWE. A bit patronizing but ready to hit someone with a chair.
Pls do a video on making this☝️👏
Smart!
You cant use this in a restaurant unless you want to get shut down
What happens in 25F degree weather? Hmmmm......................................
Too slow and no demonstration with actual grease
