Watch and phone works together. If you give the watch to your child, and you connect it to phone. Once you and your child are 10 metres apart, the watch will disconnect itself. It will work as a normal watch showing time and date. It cannot work fully if watch is not around the phone.

You can read messages that are there but it will clear off after some time. Longer messages are cut short.
