I know you're probably not on vacation anymore, but as someone who can't afford to come to Paris, I think you need a mindset shift, and maybe respectfully look at how lucky you are to be there. I feel like everything you're saying is valid but it sounds like you have things to work through that you didn't work out before you went. Again, respectfully If you're bitter about other people's happiness, that's on you, not them. But then this is my first video of yours, and not gonna lie, you seem interesting but this video isn't a good first impression. Hope the rest of your trip went well, though.x

thanks for your comments. agreed gratitude and perspective are key. it wasn’t my intention to cast blame about my experience. i found the energy of the city activating and wanted to share the authentic experience of that. i am grateful that it made me aware of emotions and thoughts that i still need to process. appreciate you 💗.

You are not mocked by the universe. You are mocked by your own unrealistic expectations of the world. What you are feeling is the overwhelming disappointment that the dream was just a dream.

thanks for your comments. 💗 i went in without expectations or really any plan, so i can’t say i was disappointed. i share my overwhelm as a portal to deep self knowing and discovery. if that doesn’t resonate with you, not prob 😘

I wasn't expecting the comments to be focused on you changing your mindset and being grateful and not romanticizing Paris (as though we do that intentionally... the lie has been force fed to us, we didn't eat it). The universe was totally messing with you and we don't need to pretend that it wasn't. The fly finally figuring out how to escape right when you were ready to film it? Come on. He knew how already and was just waiting for you to ~open your mind up to seeing the light of the situation~ before mwahaha-ing out the window. The deliriously happy couple wanting to come and sit at your bench while you made your I'm-sitting-alone sandwich? This whole experience reads as a comedy of errors! The only thing to do is not take it too seriously. If something out there seems to be playing a trick on you, all you can do is try to laugh along instead of feeling laughed at. I was very lucky to have a local friend with me last year in Paris and would have been completely lost without her. In a few months I'll be alone in Italy and am fully prepared to sink into that wistful lonely feeling as my husband won't be with me, but that doesn't mean I won't enjoy the parts of the experience that are going to be enjoyable. You will find your person and when you next go back to Paris, Paris might be feeling a little nicer and better behaved and will be ready to shine for you again.

thanks friend, you get it. 🥹 i cracked a smile many times during this edit. my relationship with the universe is very sarcastic and i love that about it too. i was in italy last! if you’re south and want some chill people, check out spazio acoustico at lido cassiopeia. 💗

Soooo... Paris Syndrome (due to the way in which Paris has been idealized)?

this is so main character energy. you're upset that someone else got engaged and then DARED to want to sit on an EMPTY bench next to you? at a major tourist attraction?!

you’re right it is main character energy because it’s a story. for entertainment value. thanks for tuning in 💗

Time and again, people make the mistake of romanticizing Paris only to be crushingly disappointed during their visit. Paris is a city of over 2 million inhabitants and tens of millions of visitors every year - of course if you go to the most popular spot, the Eiffel Tower, you're not going to have a cute relaxing time by yourself. It's just never possible! If you're not a fan of crowds, tourists - that's fine- see the touristic spots for 2 minutes and then go somewhere else more low key where you can enjoy yourself more.
I don't think anything justifies the couple making out next to you (personally I would've asked them to go somewhere else but I know not everyone is comfortable to be confrontational with strangers). I think you are holding on too hard to past assumptions or experiences which have tainted your view of the city. It's really a gorgeous city with a LOT to offer, plenty of friendly people, and not everyone there is madly in love and displaying it in the street; after all, it's a normal city where normal people live and work ....

thanks for your comments 💗. agreed, it can be a beautiful city. i’ve had a great time before alone and with other groups. looking back now, i could see how the edit might seem a little stark or pointed, and i apologize if it came off that way. i was only trying to capture the feelings i was having and the reflections and revelations that granted me. i believe only through feeling do we learn. this was a specific example for me of being activated by the time and the place i was in. i could probably say the same thing about most cities right now given my current lifestyle!
