Crossing America Season 4: Everglades National Park LiveStream

Welcome to Crossing America Season Four at Everglades National Park, hosted by Expeditions in Education in collaboration with the National Park Foundation!
In this incredible episode, Ranger Yvette shared the story of the River of Grass-the lifeblood of the Everglades. We explored how this vast, slow-moving sheet of water shapes the park’s unique habitats, from sawgrass marshes to cypress swamps, and provides a home for incredible wildlife, including alligators, manatees, and the elusive Florida panther.
We also uncovered the inspiring legacy of Marjory Stoneman Douglas, whose passionate advocacy saved the Everglades from destruction. Her work reminds us that every voice matters in conservation! Students were challenged to think like environmental stewards, designing projects to protect and restore wetlands in their own communities.
And, of course, no adventure in the Everglades would be complete without a little fun-we celebrated with an "Alligator Hole" dance, paying tribute to the park’s most famous resident!
