Stephen may have been small and gentle but his courage was outstanding.
He showed to the world,that there is no shame in loving and being loved,whoever you choose to share that with.
He had a very caring nature and unlike some of the morons leaving homophobic comments, he showed great empathy for other human beings, regardless of there gender or sexual orientation.
A very brave man and gone far too soon.
RIP Steo.

I wished Boyzone would release album with all new materials rather than just a compilation. Ronan and Steven are the only ones singing in the group. I think every member should have sung solo by himself just as Take That did. This is the reason Take That is topping charts now. "Better" is such a beautiful song and the video is well matching with the song.

This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard from Boyzone. Everything about this song AND video is absolutely perfect!! Being from America, I just discovered the 2 best Irish boys bands, Boyzone and Westlife, because radio here has never played their music. I have to say that, unequivocally, these two boy bands totally kick the crap out of what we've had here. The proof is in the music, the longevity, and the unmatched Love for what they do. No American boy band can touch them. Period.

It's incredible to think how things happen so unexpectedly. Not that he would have had time for that, but I always told myself that if I ever was lucky to meet him somewhere, I'd tell him how much of a good person he was and how big an example for many people. I've been a Boyzone fan since they first started and I always had the feeling these guys were different from the rest in many ways. They are good people. I hope Stephen knew how many people cared about him.

What I love about this video and song is that when the boys got back together they knew they could not do what they did before. They are older and wiser the second time around. Could you see a bunch of boys doing this song? Also, the world knew that Steo was gay so why hide it. They took a bold and brave step showing Steo with a guy....Love the song and I am damn proud of them for making the video they way they did.

the first time i saw this, was almost 3 years ago... i was living in london, and i was totally alone and heartbroken... and i watched this and sobbed harder than i've ever cried in my life. it gave me the strength to go home and fight for the love i knew i was meant for. this video is SO. powerful.

I think I like the Tom Baxter vocals the best, but it's a beautiful song regardless, and I love how the videos encompass love: heterosexual, homosexual, mix raced. Gives me hope that maybe one day the world will be able to accept love as just love.

Too often gay is turned into satire, comedy, or politics; it is as if homophobia can only be addressed publicly through laughter or activism. This video places human sexuality in the context of people feeling real emotions toward one another and expressing affection, gay or straight. It's touching.

I would be lying if I didn't say that it looks strange to see two men dancing. It does but I also think that it is his business how he wants to live his life. It should have no bearing on the kind of artist he is. He is an amazing singer and absolutely adorable. I think its great that is has friends that are willing to stand by him and take a chance with a video with two men dancing together. They are all still great singers and performers and I hope they are around for a long time.

me too. when i was 12 i was a huge fan then i sort of went off them a little then when they reformed and i saw their concert on tv i thought actually these guys were pretty damn good and i must admit i did cry when i found out about stephen gately. had a massive crush on him when i was younger!

I have had a boyzone cd here and there since the mid 90's but never was that into them...then for some reason a few months ago I dug them out...and found a new appreciation. Then I found out that Stephen Gately died...and what I've seen of the support & emotions of his bandmates have been very emotional. There are times I hear his vocals & honestly get some tears in my eyes

No spouses of Boyzone members appeared in the video. They were all actors. Boyzone were on the Graham Norton show last December explaining this. Steo's husband helped him choose the actor who appeared in the video with him.

The frustrating part of just now discovering Boyzone and Westlife is that Westlife just announced they are breaking up after 14 Years! WOW!! Then, to realize Stephen recently passed away in '09 is totally devastating to me. I'm now a HUGE Boyzone fan and I learn they lost one of their own? I agree with Ronan, the world Has lost one of it's Brightest Stars. The one up side to this (if their can be one) is that Boyzone is now back together and will to continue to dazzle their fans the world over.
