Hey Conor great video again , enjoy watching it so much. Could you talk a little bit about how to deal with little injuries like knee and shoulder injuries. Can you also talk about after game recovery like what’s the differences between before and after match exercises, hope you will see this comment. Thank you
@@ConorOKeefe about injuries can you also make about fingers injuries and how to overcome/heal it please ? I'm having a thumb injury like skiier's finger and it is really annoy me when playing when I can't grab or handle the ball as usual. Thank you
Great video Con! That triple save in the training section was insane always love an improvised save anything to keep the ball out and all the best with the season ahead ⚽️🧤
Oh yes, receiving pass and passing ball back or to another teammate… sometimes hard to play and think at the same time, especially when you are exhausted 🙂 Thanks for the video Conor, keep up the good shape!
Hey conor just wanted to say thanks so much for making awesome GK videos. They've helped me alot with improving my GK skills finished my school league play with 5 clean sheets in 8 games. Love the videos keep it up!
Wow 60k can remeber watching the first few seasons where you were at 2 ,5 ,8 thousand so mad to see how far u as a gk and the channel has progressed great advocate for young keepers and gives an insight into the dedication it takes to play at a high level
Enjoyed seeing the S+C section of the video, especially with its importance in pre season. For any keepers who don’t know what to do for their gym work, Gamesharp have a 12-week strength programme for goalkeepers which I found really beneficial. Would recommend to all keepers looking to develop off the pitch. Top video as usual mate
Nice video again Conor! To be honest I never write comments on video's, but since following you for a couple of seasons now, I have to mention something :p I feel like you look way more confident and more steady when wearing white gloves (just my personal perception!) Keep the videos coming :)
Thank you Mike! Appreciate you following & also taking the time to leave a comment! Really enjoying the white gloves at the moment, they do somehow make you you feel that bit cleaner & sharper!
Awesome Conor. Your videos are always inspirational and I find I learn quite a bit from them. I found your channel recently and haven't really stopped watching as I am a goalkeeper myself. What cut of gloves do you use and why? I've recently got new gloves but I still didn't know which kind was probably the best so we researched a little bit and got what we thought would be best, but I'm thinking that maybe a professional keeper would have better knowledge and expierience.
Thank you! Really glad that you find the videos valuable. I wear a negative cut, that's always been my preferred cut as I like the glove to feel close to my hand without any unnecessary material! But it is often down to personal preference, so maybe try different cuts out if you can!
Hey Conor, awsome video! I am new to the channel and I am glad i found it. I wanted to know if you could show more of your training in the gym. You said you train twice per week (power and strength based), I guess this was your strength session? :D If so could you show us your power session to? I would be very interested in that. Keep it up with the great work ;D
Hi mate! Thank you, welcome to the channel!! Hope you enjoy the videos! Correct, this was the strength session! Can definitely show the power session soon! Thank you mate, you too!
Thanks Leo! Really depends on the individual! Technique is the most important, so keeping the body straight, and driving through with the step, so enough weight to make that a challenge, but not so much that it ruins the form
Hi Conor great video again, I was just wondering how many pairs of gloves you get through a season, I understand this is going to be different to me as you get yours as part of sponsorship but I find myself using about four pairs over a twenty match league campaign
Thanks Mark! I do a stretching routine (video is on the channel early on) and then a more dynamic jogging/movement routine, a few squats/front/reverse/side lunges & any individual area activation exercises for things like my shoulders!
Hey Conor, firstly great video as always. Can always learn something for your content! Just a quick question: are you the only Goalie at Pitea and if so how do you find that (training on your own etc)? Thanks again😊
Ah sorry to hear that! Follow the medical advice to help it to recover fully, and once you get back training, maybe try and tape up the finger? I have a video that could help show you how. Build your training up again slowly until you are confident in it again!
Focusing on a drive from no momentum, just to help with jumping/diving/explosive power! I haven't done quarter squats so wouldn't really know much to comment on sorry mate
I've made a couple videos on nutrition, including this one! At 13, the most important thing is that you are training/playing and enjoying it! Working out (with professional guidance) and eating well will help, but it's not something that you need to worry as much about!
Hey Connor ! I have a dilemma in 4 months I’m going to graduate from high school and Im just concerned about my football! I want to move cities and what not and my question is can I still continue trying to become a professional player when going to college ? Right now I’m 18 years old playing for a div 4 team in Sweden!
Of course! I went to university, and continued to try and improve in my football. It might be a factor in deciding which college you go to, whether they have good teams in the area that you could join. But as long as you are always playing & improving, then you can continue to work towards that level wherever you are!
**Hope that you will be able to read this** Hey Connor, have u ever tried training in hot and humid conditions (as in more than 75 percent humidity) before? Here in Singapore after like one hour of training u will feel the trap of heat in your body ( especially if we are training in tight suits) and it can really make u extremely uncomfortable. If you have train under this kind of condition before, do you have any tips on how I should overcome it. Love your documentaries by the way.
Thanks Thomas! I did pre-seasons in Madrid & Andalusia, where the temperatures were hitting 35-40 degrees, so I have experience of the heat, but I'm not sure if it was as humid as Singapore. Obviously hydration is vital, before/during/after training. It is uncomfortable, wearing lighter colours helped, but you do have to push through it. But have a good understanding of your body, and when it is getting too much/dangerous, then of course stop!
@@ConorOKeefe haha thanks Connor. One more question though, while training in Madrid and Andalusia, do you experience extreme sweating? Like I've mentioned above in Singapore, u will be perspiring like a mad dog after 30 minutes of training and feel extremely exhausted. I am not sure is it due to lack of stamina or extreme condition.
Hey Conor, my 7 year old is in his first season playing football and is the team keeper, he is a big fan and would like to know what you say to your team from in goal and he said that he loves his @kaliaaer gloves he wanted them because you wear them!
That's great to hear, thank you, make sure you say hi to him from me! I talk to the team giving them instructions about what I can see, and what can help them when we have the ball and also when we don't. I will hopefully make a video soon that shows some communication in games! I'm really glad that he enjoys the gloves too, I love them!

How are you finding/adjusting to life in Sweden?, I moved to Norway 2 years ago from England and I'm really enjoying it.

I’m guessing the new boots are going to have to wait until the new season for their debut?
Waiting just that little bit longer...
Hi Conor, what kind of activation exercises would you recommend just before goalkeeper specific training? Wishing you a great season
