    I have always loved that you don’t feel the need to cover every moment with chatter. Your speaking voice is lovely and your instructions are brilliant! Thank you for the gift of hearing nothing but your needle and thread passing through fabric or the snipping of shears from time to time. It truly allows us to enjoy your art.

    I've some brilliant scissors for this that I cut threads in Hardanger. Not doing any sewing just now as over the weekend my scalp, face, ear and eye on my RHS changed to red and sore. Saw my GP this morning and I've got Shingles🙁 Watching you and Anna before it gets worse eyewise. You both cheer me up thanks.

    Cut work is beautiful and adds another fun dimension. Shisha mirrors are also fun to incorporate. I'm going to try my stitching hand at triangle mirrors.

    Hi Ariane! I'm somewhat new, and am systematically going through all your wonderful videos. I love the linen that you used in this video; can you tell me where to find it? Also, what size, count do you normally use?

    • @ArianeZurcher212
      @ArianeZurcher212  2 роки тому

      Hi Carol, I'm terrible when it comes to thread count and all of that. I just purchase linen that I like! The linen I've been using more recently is all hand dyed by a friend of mine Pat Pauly who sells it on her site when she has a new batch I always tell my patrons first and then if there's any left I usually do a video about it, as I did about a month ago: ua-cam.com/video/yYJQ2rEQJ0M/v-deo.html. The linen from this video I bought here: amzn.to/3zcA1eS and the white background linen in a very light weight linen from Fabric.com.

    I missed Merlin today. Is he in jail? lol I'm wondering how many different threads you have and how you keep them in order? I only have embroidery floss and perle cotton at this time but I'm eagerly waiting for my specialty threads to come in the mail. I would like to see yours if that's possible. xox

      I have shown them a few times in recent weeks. I’ll try to remember which video and add the link here

      Okay, so in this video I show my threads and how I store them. There are links in the description section for where I purchase all the things I use. ua-cam.com/video/_Vvv4Tyrv7o/v-deo.html

    Absolutely love this section of your embroidery, Ariane. It’s going to be so much fun trying the cut work too. A first for me but excited to try it. Would you mind letting me know the thread you used for the seed stitching please. The thread colour is so effective on your fabric. As always TFS your inspiration. C xx

      Hi C - Thank you so much. You must report back and tell me how it goes! The thread is house of embroidery 8 wt #91C.

      Hi Ariane, thank you so much for the thread info. Really kind of you and much appreciated.
      Well, I'm reporting back and yea, my cut work circle worked. I'm thrilled. Of course, it was all down to your great instructions (obviously....lol). Definitely going to try this on a piece of embroidery next, rather than a test piece, now the confidence is there. Thanks so much and have a lovely day your end. Hugs C xx
