I was hoping for the Black Tongue Fire Red's honestly. I feel like they made a mistake releasing the "Fresh Prince Grapes" without the laces, should've stayed a sample. The best Grape's retro is the '06 pair, due to the leather quality, the true emerald green color, and the stretchy neoprene tongue that the 2013 pair didn't have (referring to the part of the tongue that the straps are attached to)
Great video on these retros as always man. I have the exact same grapes as you and my pair are still super clean and are holding up well. I’m happy to get these again but because I already own a pair they’d have to be slightly better materials with the Nike Air on the heal and yes, toe box done correctly. I really hope they release those fire reds with the black tongue as I don’t personally have those and they look amazing! 🔥
The black metallics probably don’t have a sleek toebox. Based on how other 5s that just released don’t have any new tooling. Maybe they’re saving the rollout of closer to OG for actual OG colorways. Production should start shortly.
It's not only the toe Box JB should fix it's the puffy tongues on the retro 5s have sucked in the past few years, the shape and the thickness needs to be fixed too 😎

Bro, for real! This new toe box look on today’s models is throwing all the 5s off. The grapes and Metallics NEED to have the right toe box cut on these 2025 release. I have both but need new ones!
i will skip on these, im really waiting on the og 10s with the toe cap I remember when i was a kid i bought 2 pairs for $20 size 7.5 in an appliance store. There was a big screen box full of them steel and shadow without boxes and you would have to dig through it to find your size
If it doesn’t I ain’t buying them 💩’s from now on them damn retros and other models by Nike better have the OG shape and true to OG everything if not I ain’t buying that 💩 or I’ll say this at least 95-100% close to it because we know Nike they can’t get models right they literally have the blueprint to I will say they 4-0 on shapes and true to OG being the White cement 3 minus the sail next time make them icy white I hope the blk cement 3 be like the white with that shape but icy white soles and heel tab this time no reimagined the Carolina 9’s were on point and the cherry 12’s oh and the playoff 13’s all 🔥 🔥 🔥 shapes and all so we know yall listening don’t put that blue tint on the grape 5’s and get that toebox right
