The best sermon I’ve ever heard on why Luther was wrong. As a protestant I now see the error of sola fide and “once saved always saved.” Thank God for the truth preserved in the Catholic teachings.
Thank you for this explanation, Father. I was raised in strict Lutheranism and if you dared become a Catholic no relatives would speak to you at reunions...not even a hello. Very pro Luther and so mixed up. Such a relief to escape all that. So glad to have the Faith and St. Therese.
I converted to Catholicism 10 years ago. I also felt I was missing so many truths until I became Catholic. The Church has brought a truth and wisdom which fills the gaps. This has always been a huge issue for me until I heard this. Thank you so much.
This is exactly why I left the Christian Reformed Church and joined the Catholic Church twelve years ago. God wouldn’t let his church on Earth be in error for 1500 years! Thank you, Father Chris.
Am a Catholic convert, the transformation which i have experience since my conversion to catholicism is remarkable.. proud to be a part of the one true holy and apostolic universal church
Decades ago, I wanted to find out who Martin Luther had been, so I got three biographies from the library, one by a Catholic, one by a Lutheran, and one by a secular historian. The one big thing that stuck with me was that, when his own disciples broke off from his teachings and started their own churches, he was furious. He had based his theology on the idea that each man could discern the truth, in essence be a mini-magisterium of one. But then he expected his followers to accept HIS version of truth as definitive! It showed, right from the start, the path the Protestant Reformation would go, with churches splitting and splitting again and splitting yet again. I've heard there are somewhere between 30K and 48K different denominations, each one with a human founder who is absolutely sure he (or she) knows exactly what the rest got wrong.
@@amysands8925and yet God established ONE Church upon Cephas (Aramaic means Rock, translated into English is Peter) with Jesus as the essential cornerstone and the foundation of the Apostles. One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Religion doesn't divide: ungodly people divide. And God calls us all, loves us all, however, not all love God and not all respond to His call. They reject God's love and reject God's truths.
Luther I think possibly started out with good intentions but by the end he was lost. He authored a book called "on the Jews & their lies" an anti-semetic book in which he advocated things like burning down of homes , synagogues and even schools. I guess he was angry with them because they refused to be converted. Google the dark side of Martin luther if you want to know more but be prepared it totally shatters his image.
Father Alar, your talks have been such a blessing to everyone that hears you. I have been a Catholic my whole life. It is only in the last several years that through listening to you and other Catholic Priests and teachers that I have come to love the Church... may God bless you with a long healthy life, we need you!
Thank you so much Father Chris. I just came out of a Calvinist church that I attended for three years. I knew there was something wrong with the teaching but couldn't put my finger on it. Your teaching really straightened me out. This was a real blessing. God bless you.
Thank you. As a convert from the MO Synod Lutheran (and devoutly so) I still have more unlearned to do. I just wished I would have had some of this 6 months ago. Pray for my priest who has to hear my confessions. And praise God fir St. Therese.
@Katherine Brumley, welcome into the Faith, Sister! There’s so much to learn. The Catholic Faith is so RICH with so many good things for us all. Just he Sacraments alone are PRICELESS🙏🙏🙏
Katherine, A fellow convert here to chime in on your comment. And I'm sure you'll understand what I mean when I say the Learning, is the EASY part! It's the 'unlearning' that's the hard part. And the more devout in our past faith we were, the harder than 'unlearning' process is!!! May God continue to Bless you & give you the guidance you need in fully embracing true Catholicism.❤
First off welcome home. Secondly dont wory about the Preist for any Preist can tell you hes herd everything. Im a convert as well and my first confession took a while as well. Id sugest setting up an appointment for your first confession and let them know its for your first confession. Theyll know it may take a bit. Father Chris mentions confession many times throughout this series going into detail several times. One episode is devoted to confession. Confession is both very simple and, not complicated per say but a lot of things can go into helping you give a good confession and he explains all of this without it beeing dry, dull and causing you to go to sleep he actually makes it entertaining to a degree.
Father, you have no idea how transformative this talk has been for me! I grew up with a mother who was so scrupulous that I grew up suspicious of everyone and everything, including myself. I have recently begun realizing how much God loves me, and how much He wants a close and loving relationship with me, regardless of my faults and failings. I am finally in love! And He will never look at me with disdain, chastise me for not being perfect, or wish I was some other person. He loves me, and I now wake up with joy in my heart!
Theresa, the transformation you speak of here is beautiful! My Protestant mother has always been scrupulous, too. After becoming Catholic and grasping the fundamentals of our faith through Fr Chris’ talks, I feel the same way. May God continue to strengthen both of us in our faith and our love of Him. Hope to see you back at future talks! 🙏 ❤
Fr. Alar, thank you so much for all of your hard work and research to help us understand our Faith This must take up so much of your time. It is greatly appreciated by everyone! And thank you for being a good, holy priest. The world needs thousands more like you. 😇
I truly enjoyed this Father Chris. I’m not a Catholic yet, but I know the Lord will work things out in His time and in His way. I felt so encouraged about St Theresa. Sometimes, when we can’t do big things for God, we struggle with guilt, but we forget that little is much when God is in it. If you could say a prayer for my spouse. I’d love for him to listen to this if he will. Oh how I pray the Lord will help him to see the need for conversion. We love the Lord with all of our hearts, and we’re doing the best we can with the help of the Holy Spirit to follow Christ. I just pray the Lord will help him see how much we need to join the Catholic Church as a family.
In June 2021, a team of U.N. special rapporteurs for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) criticized the Vatican, pointing to persistent allegations that the Catholic Church had obstructed and failed to cooperate with domestic judicial proceedings in order to prevent accountability for abusers and compensation for victims. There are still many cases of sexual abuse of children by priests, nuns, and other members of religious life in the Catholic Church. In the 20th and 21st centuries, the cases have involved many allegations, investigations, trials, convictions, acknowledgement and apologies by Church authorities, and revelations about decades of instances of abuse and attempts by Church officials to cover them up. The abused include mostly boys but also girls, some as young as three years old, with the majority between the ages of 11 and 14. Criminal cases for the most part do not cover sexual harassment of adults. Many of these cases allege decades of abuse, frequently made by adults or older youths years after the abuse occurred. Cases have also been brought against members of the Catholic hierarchy who covered up sex abuse allegations and moved abusive priests to other parishes, where abuse continued, and continues to this day.
If you are referring to the problems, which have happened, but those problems are by far not just a "Catholic problem." Please see the Jenkins study from Penn State and the John Jay report. They have proven that 85% of abuse happens in the home, 14% in public schools and extracurricular activities, and only 1% happens in religious institutions, of which the Catholic Church is in the bottom half. Granted, there should be zero and none is to be tolerated, but please know the facts. God bless.
@@DivineMercy_Official . You people will do or say anything to excuse your priests, rationalize their behavior, turn a blind eye. The pope and archbishops are still doing the same thing. In other civic institutions, denominations, professions there is a legal requirement to report such criminality to the authorities. I used to be in the Anglican clergy, in fact I was a Cathedral and diocesan Dean twice. Upon my retirement I became Catholic and expressed interest in becoming a Catholic priest. I was interested enough to talk to the local Ordinary about it. He told me that there was a stiff requirement of all his clergy they report any allegations, accusations, or rumors directly to him, the Bishop, then maintain silence about it. I responded that I surely would, but that I would also report any such matter to the police. He immediately refused to discuss my vocational possibilities in the Church any further, and actually questioned how I had become a Catholic at all (I actually taught the catechism at a Jesuit parish high school). Recently its been reported that a recent "report" had underestimated the number of children abused by Catholic clergy in the Archdiocese of Chicago by 1000s, and the number of abusive clergy by the hundreds. The actual number of filthy, perverted, demonic priests in that Archdiocese is estimated by persons familiar with the mileau to be about 50%, not 5%. (And parents have been complicit for generations!) "According to an extensive study produced by John Jay College for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, about 4 percent of priests in ministry from the study period (1950-2002) were accused of sexual abuse." NOTA BENE: "...only about 4% were ACCUSED..." And the number of incidents that go unreported through parental fear of hell, ostracization, or simple moral cowardice is probably at least TEN TIMES that amount. Witness the houses for unwed mothers' orphan children in Ireland where secret cemeteries of unmarked graves were found of thousands of tiny children that were MURDERED by nuns and various "religious" (I use the term advisedly!) And just this past year its been discovered there have been wild homosexual orgies IN THE VATICAN ITSELF yet the current pope says and does nothing about this, except make a statement that "homosexual behavior is not a sin"(!). And this is 500+ years after Luther denounced the filth that is Rome! And from California earlier this year we get "Church Sex Scandal Widens: Hundreds More Catholic Clergy Accused Across California" www.nbcbayarea.com/investigations/clergy-abuse-scandal-investigation/3162757/?amp=1
@@DivineMercy_Official yes, the short version is that I have been bombarded with questions about The Blessed Mother, also (if I’m not mistaken the dogma regarding Her prominence was introduced later in church history) How do I reconcile this. What is her role in The Most High’s deliverance of The church while Christ as the Head of The Church is our Only Salvation? Sorry, complicated question
This is an excellent talk !! I was raised Catholic...long story short, I went in a great big circle and discovered these truths and so I'm back but this time it's for real 😉
MusicLeigh welcome home! Same for me. I was gone for 32 years. Came back about three months ago. Unlike Luther, when I went to my first confession in over three decades, I walked back to my pew. Knelt down and did half my penance in less than 30 seconds. I instantly recalled the Prodigal Son. On the other hand, the other half of my penance is going to take the rest of my life! 😂
Another wonderful talk! As a cradle Catholic, I grew up being taught that Martin Luther broke away because of selling the indulgences. This was so helpful!
That is my understanding, too. Luther said that the Church became apostate because of the selling of Indulgences. This could have happened in some churches. However, Martin Luther, seemed so tortured and unhappy.
Catholics did sell indulgences. And did many terrible things. Read Foxe's Book of Martyrs. And Martin Luther never said to stop doing good works!!! That is a total lie. Protestants are very generous with charity and many, many good works. Catholics can be stingy. I have learned a lot from Catholics but there is no way to earn your way to heaven through good works. Finally, you get so tired, you just give up. Plus, you find that Catholics spend too much money on things that are completely unnecessary. Too much time praying to hundreds of dead saints ... and there is no way to be sure all these" saints" are actually in heaven. Popes are not infallible when it comes to the method of determining who is or isn't a saint. Most Catholics I know are drunkards and don't believe in much of anything. They are tired of homosexual priests. And unmarried clergy telling them what to do.
May God Bless you for putting this together. I’m sure it took a lot of time to do this. I shared it with my father who led my family as a child into Protestantism. It was a difficult time in my life. I went to Catholic school through 7th grade and then they pulled me out. My mom who was originally a Southern Baptist would attack my Catholic Faith. As a young teen I was ill equipped to defend what I felt in my heart. My Dads mother was a devout Catholic and she would tell me all the time that she prays for them to find their way back. Since the early 90’s we have come a long ways and with information so readily available thanks to the internet there is no reason one should not pursue the truth. As I pray my Rosary every morning I am asking God and the Blessed Mother to lead my family home. One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church!!
Fr. Chris, you’re an excellent preacher giving us the most important topics we ought to know, thank you so much. And the time and effort you spend for your research of the materials are highly brilliant and will always be remembered. May your talk make a big change in our spiritual life with our cooperation and docility to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. May God continue to bless your good works of love and not on faith alone. I never stop praying for you invoking St. Louis lX daily on your behalf.
Sorry Father...just finished watching your talk....you did touch on the subject matter I just brought up moments ago in my post. Thank you so very much. I studied at Notre Dame decades ago and continue studying theology. Your talks encourage continued study. Being very poor, my stomach may often be hungry but my mind, heart and spirit are nourished!
"You gotta cooperate with the Grace" - Amen! This entire presentation is so enlightening and faith-affirming.. I have heard the phrase "Do little things with great love" many times, but for some reason it never truly resonated with me. Thank you and thanks be to God, Fr. Alar, for your brilliant instruction on these matters; so timely and valuable!
Yes, Barbara! For those having doubts about their Catholic faith, this talk was both enlightening and faith-affirming. I’m always searching for affirmation in my faith, and this talk hit the mark. 🎯 God bless you, Barbara and thank you, Fr Chris!
Agree with you regarding looking for affirmation of faith. It seems like everytime confusion or self-doubt creeps into the back of my mind, God grants the grace of clarification somewhere - today for me it was this video from Fr. Chris. It is indeed a journey of transformation. God bless you too, Tanya!
The whole "good works aren't meant to get you into Heaven" kinda makes you wonder :what's the difference between "doing good works", "doing a good deed "for today", and "living a "good life"? If it comes down to inspiring mercy/grace/kindness/love/patience/ peace, you do need works to accompany your faith. In the Gospel reading, Jesus said to believe through the works He did, if anything at all. If they're genuine, works aren't empty.

Wow, I came to listen this talk of Father Chris only now June 9, 2023. Wow, I'm so touched and I learned so much that deepens my catholic faith. Bless you Father Chris, you are amazing. You are indeed a true disciple of Jesus Christ, one of the chosen to be our true leader in our church by your awesome lectures. May God bless and keep you safe & healthy so we can hear more lectures from you. Watching from one of the islands in Western Visayas, Philippines.💯👍👍💖💖👍🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💒
Fr Chris. I always learn so much from you to strengthen my faith. You have a gentle, clear and simple way of explaining things. May God reward you for acting upon this gift from the Holy Spirit which I pray will lead to a multitude of members of Church Militant to grow in faith and LOVE of Christ and neighbor through service and good works so that when Jesus returns, He truly will find much FAITH on the earth!
I was Lutheran and have recently come to Catholic truth. Fr. Chris is absolutely spot on: Lutheranism promotes spiritual lethargy and unethical behavior, if its teachings are borne out fully in the life of the adherent. So glad to leave that spiritual chaos behind. Thank you Fr Chris for this talk.
Yesterday was the day the protestants remember the reformation, as you said, and my neighbor sent me an email praising Martin Luther. So guess what, ill be sending her this video! So timely, God bless you and I thankyou, love you and all your talks. We learn so much
I'm a huge fan of your talks and so far this one is my favorite! I'm a recent convert and have had my fair share of scruples, this brings me hope and reminds me to be at peace.
Father.... truly these are the end times and the gospel is being preached throughout the ends of the earth..... I'm watching all the way from India.... This teaching is so important for every Christian... thanks so much Father Chris.... God bless and protect you
Fr…. Wow. I’m just speechless. I have been suffering from major scruples. I have ocd and have since a kid. I converted to Catholicism two years ago. And my ocd has taken on the church. Ocd changes often. Mine is focused on God and sins and justice now. Like God doesn’t love me. Or I’m not trying hard enough. Or am I sinning by wearing jeans. Etc etc. You’ve probably heard it all. But I started a novena to St Therese YESTERDAY. at my wits end. I called on her. I don’t even know why. I don’t know much about her. So. I didn’t know all of this. That she suffered from OCD and scruples too. Wow. And someone commented this video on Facebook today. I had to watch it. And she is interceding for me. This video helped me so much. Thank you.
Father Chris this was so wonderful!! I have struggled with scruples even as a little girl growing up protestant and it got very bad once we came home to the Catholic Church. Now being Catholic I learned how much sin I had committed and still struggle to commit. I am so thankful for this talk to help clear up further the protestant to Catholic misconceptions in my mind, especially that we are saved through grace! we just have to cooperate with it. I think I had begun to understand this better but you stated it so clearly! St Therese is also helping me heal from my scruples🤍 Growing up I was just told “were all sinning all the time, so don’t worry about it” its such a horribly dangerous way to live. That mentality had my husband and I living together long before we were married. We are just SO thankful for the clarity of Our Lords Holy Catholic Church! No moral question goes unanswered. We pray for our families now to come home to Christs Church. God bless you Father thank you!!
Thank you Father Chris for teaching us 🙏 ❤️ the way our Lord Jesus loved and taught his disciples in following him and his word. We are blessed by God being members of a Catholic Faith 🙏 community. Much ❤️ love to all listening to Father Chris's informative presentation. 😇🤗❤🙏😇
Father Chris Alar thank you for your insight and inspiration in details for Martin Luther vs. St. Therese: Debunking the Myths of Reformation vs. Revolt.
Hi Father Chris You are a blessing to many of us. You helped me to appreciate life and aim heaven. When my mom died, I am distorted. But your talk about "what happens after death" made me stronger and gave me hope.. And this talk about faith alone and faith with actions, cleared up my thoughts. Thank you so much Fr.Chris. Fyi, I am a Filipina☺️
God bless you, friend. Zette, eternal rest as your beloved mother is peaceful in the arms of Jesus, Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph 🙏. Perpetual light shine upon her🕯️❤️
Finally had a chance to watch this beautiful talk on Martin Luther. No need to apologize for getting "worked up" in this and other talks. It shows your enthusiasm & zeal in presentation this very important message. God bless & strengthen you in your ministry.
Thank you, Fr Chris, for putting in such a succinct talk, all the facts about the Protestant Revolution. I'd read all your points over the course of many years & had so wished someone like you would one day communicate them to the World in an accessible format. You've done just that & very well indeed.
What a blessing God has given me for finding you on YT. I am a catechist yet ì have learned more and more. I am praying for Marian priests. Stay holy but cool.
@@DivineMercy_Official Father Chris Alars, an Interior Voice in my head 🗣️, is CLAIMING that the Voice is the Lord Jesus Christ ✝️. And the Voice Father ALWAYS tells me that the Catholic Church is the TRUE Church.
Good evening Fr.Chris Thanks so much for your great talk I love so much to listen and learn and appreciate how you enlighten us on our Catholic faith. God Bless you always and stay safe Please never think about giving up your good work. You are a great disciple of God and we are blessed to have you 🙏🙏🇮🇪
Thank you Father Chris. You are in my prayers. I learned a lot today. A lot of the things you mentioned in this video, I have been thinking about for some time.
Bless you Fr Chris and all who work behind the scenes for our benefit. Was hoping to catch you in Greenville for the Eucharistic Conference but not looking like I'll be able to attend. Hope you tape your talk! Thank you for all you do for the faithful.
Wow Father Chris you confirmed my thought. I always thought Martin Luther King was connected to Martin Luther just didn't know how exactly. Now I know you explained it well. Love your teachings ❤. God Bless you for your time & all you do.
Thanks Fr Chris for this deep study of Michael King. I learned a lot. I did know the similarities between Luther & Hitler. And that he honored Mary. I didn’t know that he had married a nun. Very thorough research, as usual. Appreciate your enthusiasm & your heartfelt vocation. 🙏💕🙏
Wow!!! Fr. Alar. For how many times I watched your video I can't get enough of how good priest you are. I thank God for giving you to us. love u🥰 May God bless and keep you all Marian Fathers. ❤🙏 ❤
What an excellent talk by Fr. Chris! My brother left the Church years ago, taking my sister with him, and these arguments sound just like what he argued with his Catholic sisters. My sister who is out of the Church went to Mass yesterday with her Catholic sisters and I am praying for her total return to her Catholic faith. What a gift!!! And what a gift YOU are, Fr. Chris, for your knowledge of our beautiful Catholic faith. GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU!
Thank you Father Cris for this enlightening lecture on Martin Luther and his devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary.. Let us pray for those who are blindsided by his teaching on Sola Scriptura. God bless you more.
This was the best talk I have heard about Martin Luther. I was raised a Lutheran and can honestly say in my heart I knew things were not right. I have been listening to Catholic teachings for about 3 years now and I feel like I'm being called home to the Catholic Church. I have come to these conclusions on my own before I heard this talk but this talk confirms all the things I have been thinking about. I don't want to be a Lutheran or listen to any more Lutheran doctrine. My heart has been Catholic for a long time now. Please pray for me on my journey home. I live in Canada and already feel like I am on my journey back home to the Catholic church.
Wow Wendy that is awesome, God Bless you. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you on your spiritual journey to the one true faith. Keeping you in prayer
One of the best material so far when being questioned by non Catholics about our faith especially about Mama Mary. Your teachings is like an introductory training to be a Catholic Faith Defender. My late grandfather was one aside from being a Knight of Columbus. Thank you Father Chris! I am So blessed and enlightened here. Because of your videos, I have grown to appreciate the sacraments especially the Holy Mass. you’re in my prayers always.
Thank you father, thank you father for clarifying a lot of misunderstanding about Martin Luther and the break away of the Protestants from Catholism. I always have faith in Catholic Church and am doubtful of the Protestant but never have enough knowledge to protect my children' Catholic faith which is my big concern. Now i have found all your videos and have used them to teach my children. I also send your videos to my Protestant friends . Thank you so much for your devotion, knowledge and teaching. May God bless us with many more priests like you. I have seen many Catholics leaving the faith to Protestantism. And I believe part of the reasons for this because we do not have priests teaching us like you have done on your videos.
I really loved how you explained the way Protestants seem to think how Catholics worship and see God then turn things around and actually explain the truth about how Catholics actually worship and what Catholics actually believe in. I also loved how you compared Martin Luther to St. Therese of Lisieux, both their similarities and their differences. I think if they were living in the same century and had an opportunity to meet each other I think St. Therese might have been able to be a huge influence on Martin Luther to not abandon the Catholic church altogether like he did. You did a good job on this talk Fr. Chris. God bless you now and always.
I have been able to use talk.s like this when noncatholics try to debate me....the look on their face is priceless when I hit them with facts...they are not use to or have never heard these logical arguments that can be documented
33:10 That was literally me! I was living steeped in sin and grew numb from it I didn't feel sorry. I was forced to go to confession by my wife. Got there and told the young associate priest I didn't feel sorry. He didn't absolve my sins. The older priest found out (after asking how my confession went), and heard my confession right then and there. He said the fact that I was there willing to go to confession and feeling bad that I didn't feel sorry was evidence enough that I was looking to change. That confession brought me back to God. Thank God for him.
Thank you Fr Chris for today’s talk My wife Marina and myself have both become Marian Helpers and it feels so good to be one. We both have been evangelising and spreading the word of God We really need to try very hard to bring back souls to our lord God bless all Marian fathers Marian staff and Marian helpers

I try to watch every single video of your talks on UA-cam with all other apologetics talks. Wow! what a marvelous and fascinating work you all do. I pray personally that God helps you all who do the same victorious defense of the Body of Christ... God blee you Fr Chris. I only wish I have that God-given talent to do the same - but still praying to become one; another day...
That was solid teaching. I gave up on Catholicism a long time ago and for many years I just sort of floated through life. Then I ended up in a bad place and knew I had to get right with God but I didn't want anything to do with the Catholic Church. So I went church shopping, bouncing around from place to place, trying to find a church that would inspire me. What I found was a lot of different people who seemed to be making it up as they went along, and a lot of singing. There were some instances where I didn't know if I was at a church service or a concert. And one thing kept coming to the front of my admittedly limited mind, I never felt at home. I always felt like a guest. The people were decent enough, but I knew I was just a visitor passing through. Anyway, after being disappointed for a while I thought, well, that's it. I've run out of options. I figured I would just be a church of one. Then one day, by chance I drove past a Catholic church and this strange idea popped into my head. Why not give them another try. A friend had been on me to come back but I was stubborn. I had a bad experience with a bad parish when I was a kid and I was still acting like that hurt little kid. But that day, a feeling came over me, give them a try. I didn't go to that church but I attended Mass at another church and within five minutes I knew I was home. The liturgy, all that structure I though I hated became beautiful to me. I was at peace. And it was no coincidence that it was the Mass celebrating the Assumption of our Blessed Mother. She led me back home. It was her voice touching my heart that day and with the help of my Guardian Angel I made it back. Her son, Jesus Christ had left the light on and I knew that day I was never going away again. I still tear up as recount that glorious day. To anyone who is struggling like I did, God has left the light on for you too. All you have to do is walk through the door. And it doesn't cost a penny. God Bless. 🙏
Father you have no idea how much this talk affected me. (made me cry tears of joy and relief) I think I've got a case of that spiritual ocd and I think I can finally start "co-operating" with God's grace to move on and not be such a nervous nelly anymore. That crazy fear of God you described in Martin Luther and St. Therese and the desire to be and do great things for God and earn my salvation struck a familiar chord with me. God bless you and glory be to God. With His grace I can get over myself and be happy again.
Thank you for this excellent talk Fr. Chris! I'm a follower of Christ (Presbyterian) but the Lord has been calling me back to the Catholic faith. Originally baptised a Catholic, at Mission Delores in San Francisco, my Godmother lived thousands of miles away and my parents decided organized religion wasn't for them. So all I learned of the faith growing up was from pop culture and negative stereotypes. After several personal miracles I know that the Blessed Mother is guiding me back to the Catholic Faith, which I didn't see clearly until this year. I'm now in RCIA at my wonderful Catholic Church, although I still attend my Presbyterian Church. After viewing your ourstanding, research rich talk here I plan to meet with the Sr. Pastor and discuss these points with him. My guess is that though he has a doctorate in Theology, he may not know these points you have made about Martin Luther. I'd like to ask him how the Protestant faith evolved to discount Mary and to deny the Real Presence in the Eucharist. Your talks Explaining the Faith are so precious, they are pure gold to me, I sincerely thank you. I've got this Virtual All Star ConversionTeam besides my RCIA teachers - how lucky am I! That Team is You, Fr. Mike, & Bishop Barron. Hallelujah! Glory to God! And love to Fr. Calloway, too!

Exactly
Can you remember which books they were? It sounds like a fantastic learning exercise.
It's not quite that high, especially when you consider the churches that are in full communion with each other, but it's still too high.
@MonarchPoolPlaster Each non-denominational church is its own denomination, so the 40,000 estimate is accurate.
To me no regilon is the true reglion. its all nonscence God is the God of all. All reglion dose is seperate people.
I am also a protestant but I opened my heart to know the history, the truth.
God bless you
God is calling you home 😊❤
Luther I think possibly started out with good intentions but by the end he was lost. He authored a book called "on the Jews & their lies" an anti-semetic book in which he advocated things like burning down of homes , synagogues and even schools. I guess he was angry with them because they refused to be converted. Google the dark side of Martin luther if you want to know more but be prepared it totally shatters his image.
It's so rare to hear priests in the post-concilliar era tell the truth about the Protestant revolt. Thank you!
Love it
Father Alar, your talks have been such a blessing to everyone that hears you. I have been a Catholic my whole life. It is only in the last several years that through listening to you and other Catholic Priests and teachers that I have come to love the Church... may God bless you with a long healthy life, we need you!
Thank you for joining us and God bless you
Thank you so much Father Chris. I just came out of a Calvinist church that I attended for three years. I knew there was something wrong with the teaching but couldn't put my finger on it. Your teaching really straightened me out. This was a real blessing. God bless you.
Thank you Jim for watching and God-bless
You have a lot of grace. God bless.
Katherine,
A fellow convert here to chime in on your comment.
And I'm sure you'll understand what I mean when I say the Learning, is the EASY part! It's the
'unlearning' that's the hard part.
Confession is both very simple and, not complicated per say but a lot of things can go into helping you give a good confession and he explains all of this without it beeing dry, dull and causing you to go to sleep he actually makes it entertaining to a degree.
my husband and I are protestant converts too, I totally understand what you mean!
God-bless you Theresa and thank you for accepting God's grace and watching with us
Fr. Alar, thank you so much for all of your hard work and research to help us understand our Faith This must take up so much of your time. It is greatly appreciated by everyone! And thank you for being a good, holy priest. The world needs thousands more like you. 😇
Thank you Sharon for being with us and God bless you
I am glad fr. Chris didn't get married

Thank you and God bless you and your spiritual journey. know, you're in our prayers and let us know if there's anything we can do to help, God bless!
@@DivineMercy_Official Thank you so much. He already has way more than I deserve. He’s just so good!
(And parents have been complicit for generations!)
"According to an extensive study produced by John Jay College for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, about 4 percent of priests in ministry from the study period (1950-2002) were accused of sexual abuse."
NOTA BENE: "...only about 4% were ACCUSED..." And the number of incidents that go unreported through parental fear of hell, ostracization, or simple moral cowardice is probably at least TEN TIMES that amount. Witness the houses for unwed mothers' orphan children in Ireland where secret cemeteries of unmarked graves were found of thousands of tiny children that were MURDERED by nuns and various "religious" (I use the term advisedly!)
And just this past year its been discovered there have been wild homosexual orgies IN THE VATICAN ITSELF yet the current pope says and does nothing about this, except make a statement that "homosexual behavior is not a sin"(!). And this is 500+ years after Luther denounced the filth that is Rome!
And from California earlier this year we get "Church Sex Scandal Widens: Hundreds More Catholic Clergy Accused Across California"

@@DivineMercy_Official yes, the short version is that I have been bombarded with questions about The Blessed Mother, also (if I’m not mistaken the dogma regarding Her prominence was introduced later in church history)
How do I reconcile this.

This is an excellent talk !! I was raised Catholic...long story short, I went in a great big circle and discovered these truths and so I'm back but this time it's for real 😉
Thank you and God bless you for being open to God's grace!
@@scrappyjack1 It's because of his Scrupulosity, and many Catholics and Christians in general, SADLY have this condition.
We need to be re educated in our Catholic faith and Fr Chris is doing that brilliantly. Thank you Fr Chris.🙏🇦🇺
@@pennypiper7382 No, you should read Foxe's Book of Martyrs.
Thank you, he's a great saint!

To learn of the journey of my faith as a Catholic renews my faith and gives me hope for the modern church. Praises and thanks to God.
Fr….
Thank you.
That's awesome, prayers for you!

Wow! what a marvelous and fascinating work you all do. I pray personally that God helps you all who do the same victorious defense of the Body of Christ... God blee you Fr Chris. I only wish I have that God-given talent to do the same - but still praying to become one; another day...
Thank you for watching with us and God-bless you!
God Bless. 🙏
Wow, that is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing that!
Beautiful testimony 🙏💕
I have tears reading this. Holy Spirit at work. God bless and welcome home 😊😊
Man , tears rolling down my cheeks ...Praises be to our Lord ❤ thanks to the Lord's mother interceding for you ❤❤❤
Father you have no idea how much this talk affected me.
Thank you for taking the time to join us and God bless you!

Thank you Leslie and God bless you for being open to God's grace working in your heart! Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with in your faith Journey 😇

This is truly an enlightening soul-searching message. Thank you very much Rev.Fr.Chris for opening my mind and heart to accommodate people like Martin Luther who were just names and I hadn't a clue about their antecedents and their way of thinking. As usual youve taught me an enormous lot and I thoroughly enjoy the way you get the message across. God bless you and your Congregation always Amen Bangalore 17/10/22

Excellent that a lot of them understand the dangers of believing that by faith alone, one can be saved.
