    very interesting find, I actually got the B2 out of the cheap price and small looking form factor. It's actually smaller than my dewalt 18v multitool, and even smaller than the old parkside 12V multitool. This B2 has to be added to a Parkside hidden Gems list. They do have a few actually really decent tools, from both 12V and 20V ranges. Also some of their grinder - and circular saw - because in UK you can only get 4Ah battery, very underpowered. I bought a dewalt to parkside adapter - makes the tools that can do with more current perform on a whole new level. I usually use the 5A dewalt power stack - that thing is mad. And if torque tool test channel is to be believed, the protection is built into the parkside battery pack, not into the tool, hence why with dewalt they can take as much as they can dare. It's a risky game tho, first gen 20v parkside grinder went up in smoke because I was pushing it really hard, cutting bitumen sheets (makes the disk bind up/grubby) - anyways, for £25 for the grinder and grinder bought maybe 5 years ago, I didn't cry much. Bought another one straight after - this despite dewalt's offering being down at £140 at the time for the body only.

      The good part of going for Parkside is the price. Even more so if you get a discount. You use it as much as you can and when it goes wrong as you say you don't cry too much. I even know of certain mechanics that use Parkside tools as their main tools and they are satisfied with them.

    The B2 is a handy machine, so much slimmer than the 12v one and about the same price. Just don't use it for long with an 8Ah, the heat and vibrations can melt the battery pack onto the machine and you'll find yourself having to use a mallet to dislodge it!

      Really? I never tried the 12V as I thought it might be too weak. But I did not think it would be bigger.

    B2 is made by OWIM, but it's not important anyway. Luckily I have the B2 Version.
    But I got the PWSAP 20 C3 angle grinder which vibrates like crazy with the included disc. Used it for 15-30 minutes and could feel it in my hands for hours afterwards. Were all tingly and I couldn't feel any light touches. After I complained to the manufacturer, they sent me a new one which has the same vibrations. So I can only use that one with cutting discs where the vibrations aren't as bad.

      I get the feeling that Parkiside turn to Grizzly tools whenever they want a cheaper tool and a bigger profit margin. In the end the quality suffers from it.

    • @Vrabetzz
      @Vrabetzz 7 місяців тому +2

      @@BrokeLifeEU Not necessarily. The 12V Angle Grinder (PWSA 12 B1) is made by Grizzly Tools as well and it's great aside from the switch which isn't as easy to press as I'd like. I even bought a second one to avoid switching the discs.

    Hello! Your C3 is faulty I guess. I have the B2 and C3 - The C3 has more RPM and the noise is ear piercing only when cutting tile. The vibration in the handle on both is the same for me.

      @BrokeLifeEU  7 місяців тому

      Thank you for letting me know! I will see if I can get my hands on another C3. However at this time it looks like it is more like a hit and miss with the C3. Either it is a good unit or a bad unit. And it looks like it is 50-50 for now. Where was yours bought from?

      @@BrokeLifeEUHi, my wife was logged in and my first comment is from her account. It is bought from Lidl Bulgaria and it is the “latest” release of the C3 version. The B2 model is OWIM and build quality is superior.

    Yikes. I think they are selling the C3 version again and I was looking for one of these tools. I guess I’ll wait for the D4 and hope that’s better.
    It’s pretty interesting how different these look compared to the A1. I wonder how those compare.

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  Місяць тому

      You know there used to be a brushless Performance one. Shame they don't make it anymore. As for this one I would not buy it personally. Either I would go for the older B2 or wait for a newer one.

    • @shortymcsteve
      @shortymcsteve Місяць тому

      @@BrokeLifeEU I didn’t know that. In the U.K. they don’t sell the performance range unfortunately, but Kompernass told me that they would still cover the warranty if I bought an item from a Lidl store in another country that does.
      I recently bought the PFBS 160 C3 and in the store they also had the B2 on the shelf (for more expensive!). Now I’m wondering what the difference is. I did ask during the email with them and they told me it’s basically the same.
      Do you know of any websites where people discuss Parkside tools and their differences? The only place I’ve found any information is here on UA-cam.

    I have one of these C3 models. Vibration and noise is so bad. Mine stops oscillating suddenly as soon as I would like to cut something, or just I turn in the angle to cut. I have to remove the battery turn off with the switch, but back the battery and start again, then stops oscillating again. It is painful to use. The latching mechanism seems to be broken now.
    I’m not sure how they ended up this bad.
    I found your video when was wanted to find out if its normal that this loud, but now I see its a bad product. I’m going ti definitely return to Lidl. Shame, because I need a good multi-tool.

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  Місяць тому

      The older one was made by OWIM and I like their build quality I have a drill by them and has been very good. The C3 is made by Grizzly which I think is the worst manufacturer of Parkside tools. If you have seen the other comments on the video most people say the C3 is too loud and the vibrations are too much. There are one or two good comments about the C3 but they could have just got the one or two good units that fit together just right. It is the same with the Parkside Performance impact drivers, the older B3 model made by Kompernaß is better than the newer C3 made by Grizzly. As for the multitool that you need if you manage to find one of the older B2 models by OWIM I think you will like it.

      @Failsafeman100 7 місяців тому +4

      Yeah the performance one was discontinued and still highly sought after online from what I see. Seems like everything released ever since the Arnold ad campaign and the switch to new packaging has been inferior. Like the brand's peak was 1-3 years ago when it was expanding the performance lineup and the quality was stable. God knows how much they've invested in marketing last year, but we're paying for it now it seems!

    • @BrokeLifeEU
      @BrokeLifeEU  7 місяців тому +4

Ideally in a direct comparison with another model or brand. That's why channels like this one are so valuable - nothing beats seeing them in action!
