Hi Japan. Let's produce more Hakims to take over the sporting world. A fan here from Ghana.
Amazing documentary, really enjoying all of these so far
Same
These "Athletes to watch" series is dope... Makes me wanna be fan of all the athletes they showcase 😅
Japan is gonna be lethal in 4x100 with this guy
With or without Hakim, Japan's 4x100 is always lethal. It would be interesting to see if they get gold. I'd be willing to predict him anchoring against Lyles.
Update: earth shattering news that can’t be comprehended.
1) Japan did not finish the 4x100 as the changeover from the first - second leg resulted in a baton drop. Absolutely devastating as I also predicted they would take out the gold given their success in Rio.
2) Team USA did not even qualify for the final of the relay. Kind of astounding actually. Take whichever fact as the most shocking
@@dorisl6582 Yep and he wasn't even in the team. What a crazy year that was.
His best friend is such a great friend 🥰
Man, this video gives me chills. ALso he has a great friend. I wish him all the best, will definitely be on the lookout for him.

1:37 Lmao he got the r9 hair cut
ワクワクするぜぇ!!!
Legend
what about Noah Lyles, Asafa Powell, Christian Colman (if he dosent get band), Treyvon Bromell and Andree De Grasse
Powell is way too old to compete with the new stars, and his results have been somewhat dissapointing, not saying he is bad, im just saying the results he has shown aren't enough to get a nice medal, i believe he doesnt even compete anymore
My mans gonna win the entire olympics
城西高校のPVだ!
Great story. But this video doesn't tell you much of what he runs. I guess if he's compared to Bolt he runs the 100, 200, and 4 x 100 relay. Hard to see him beating Christian Coleman, Noah Lyles and the USA squad in the relay. Florida must have a pretty good track team.

Wow
Dani brown got final in 100m twice !!!
Nice uploading video, Olympic Channel. Are you alright?
What about andre de grasse? He could very well win either the 100m or 200m
Let them sleep on de grasse, he’ll show up when it matters.
That day is my birthday
The Japanese are so hypocritical when it comes to foreigners.
He says he was treated, "almost the same". As the father of two "half" children in Japan I understand his feeling. Not nearly the same. He has to lie to himself and to the Japanese listening. Always listening.
Notice he is training OUTSIDE of Japan? That speaks volumes. The Japanese will take credit for his success but the fact is it is their culture, their xenophobia and outright racism that made him leave. Training in the US to represent Japan? You won't see any American athletes living and trainnig in Japan to represent America that is for sure! He seems like a good kid. I wish him the best. Leaving Japan behind would be the best thing he could ever do - especially if he decides to have children.
Same thing with Yuta Williams, Naomi Osaka, and many of the kids on the u19 Basketball team. A lot of them train aborad.
life is hard work
Uh wow
He needs to work on his start. He should have been able to medal at worlds in Doha, last year, but his reaction to the gun was horrible.
Medal prospect for 4x100 relay, yes. For individuals, very slim chance.
Yeah, he'll be a finalist for both the 100m and 200m at best. Unless some of the top contenders get injured etc.
pero porque no fue a los olimpicos de tokio? no lo vimos en las pruebas de clasificacion...?
Subhaanallaah!
Is is that coach Grant Holloway's dad!?!? Pray tell!
it is..

The tasteful curve astonishingly place because boat superfamily stare opposite a warlike face. mighty, ill-informed node
Like every Asian he got no chance u don't hve the genes. You can represent ur country on a final put u got absolutely no chance to get podium or be the champ. But good documentary
@J 0 It was old times, but Kim Collins clinched the gold medal in 2003 with 10.03...
He ran at UF and was very impressive..he and Grant Holloway were the top two sprinters on an "A" level NCAA team...I disagree, he's got a chance at home in front of the home crowd. You never know.
He'll be on the podium for the 4x100m rely. Japan won the silver medal for the rely in Rio olympics 2016.
he is only "japanese" when it suits them, if he wasnt half ghanaian he wouldn't be special, its the west african GENE that gave him this ability
also he is muslim and half ghanaian (black) - 2 things japanese people hate. funny how they love you as long as they can benefit.
yup, especially Naomi Osaka
