With or without Hakim, Japan's 4x100 is always lethal. It would be interesting to see if they get gold. I'd be willing to predict him anchoring against Lyles.

Update: earth shattering news that can’t be comprehended.
      1) Japan did not finish the 4x100 as the changeover from the first - second leg resulted in a baton drop. Absolutely devastating as I also predicted they would take out the gold given their success in Rio.
      2) Team USA did not even qualify for the final of the relay. Kind of astounding actually. Take whichever fact as the most shocking

Great story. But this video doesn't tell you much of what he runs. I guess if he's compared to Bolt he runs the 100, 200, and 4 x 100 relay. Hard to see him beating Christian Coleman, Noah Lyles and the USA squad in the relay. Florida must have a pretty good track team.

The Japanese are so hypocritical when it comes to foreigners.
He says he was treated, "almost the same". As the father of two "half" children in Japan I understand his feeling. Not nearly the same. He has to lie to himself and to the Japanese listening. Always listening.
Notice he is training OUTSIDE of Japan? That speaks volumes. The Japanese will take credit for his success but the fact is it is their culture, their xenophobia and outright racism that made him leave. Training in the US to represent Japan? You won't see any American athletes living and trainnig in Japan to represent America that is for sure! He seems like a good kid. I wish him the best. Leaving Japan behind would be the best thing he could ever do - especially if he decides to have children.

also he is muslim and half ghanaian (black) - 2 things japanese people hate. funny how they love you as long as they can benefit.
