Thank you, recipe looks like fun to make, two questions, what can substitute bowl can I use, cannot afford to buy authentic Mexican bowl, two, how many days can I refrigate or freeze?
I bought a Molcajete for making salsa because of all the videos showing them. Made salsa on Sunday it was gone before halftime of the first football game I had to make 5 batches it was the hit of the party
I have volunteer tomitillos in my garden. Couldn't get rid of them if I wanted to. Now I just need to get cilantro to grow. A whole patch. I have 75 garlic cloves in the ground over wintering.
I remember going through sone tough times in 2013 i made this salsa and since i couldn't afford the meat i had to make sausage tacos 😂 but it kept me alive for the next 3 years till i was able to buy a whole flap meat roast
It's an authentic Bihari (Indian) recipe we call it tomato chutney. We also like to add mustard oil to it it tastes great with rice, dal and fried potato vegetable.
Its very common in nepal... But 1 ingredient that adds extra twist which we add here in nepal is Sichuan pepper.... It takes the salsa to next nevel....
For anyone asking, you can find the step by step printable recipe here 👉🏻 villacocina.com/mexican-salsa-in-a-molcajete/
That looks amazing! Senorita, you just made the best salsa I've ever seen in my life
So good!
I love salsa I the molcajete. So delicious!
Should I be soaking my chiles de arbol before or just toast them dry straight from the bag? also if soaking use cold/warm/or hot water?
Looks SOOOO GOOD 😋❤️🌿
Yes! 🙌
🌸 Que deliciosa receta muy buena me gusta mucho 🌸
Believe the hype, using a Molcajete makes salsa taste amazing! You will never go back to a blender or regular mortar and pestle
Thank you, recipe looks like fun to make, two questions, what can substitute bowl can I use, cannot afford to buy authentic Mexican bowl, two, how many days can I refrigate or freeze?

Muy bien paisa saludos desde cd Juárez Chihuahua México
Can I use a blender for the same after charring the vegetables? I dont have a molcajete. Will the taste change using a blender?
Amazing! What size molcajete is that? I’ve been wanting to buy one and would love one that size
Love this Salsa and your Channel Rossana, shout out to Nelson, for all the great work behind the camera.
Thanks, I usually buy my salsa but now I can make my own. Have a great day.
Nooooo, 🤦🏽♂️😂. Always make your own salsa. 🙂
Hope you enjoy, there is no comparison.
yes
Gracias Bonita! ❤❤❤❤😊😊
Will this still taste good if i make this the nignt before?
Can you use Serrano peppers instead of arbol? Serrano is all I have at the moment. And I have all the other ingredients.
Where did you get your molcajete? Am looking for one similar thanks

Mexican salsa, yes.

That looks delicious sister! What chillies will be the best? Love from India.
People are always saying "red vs green" salsa but this is both 😍👌🔥🔥
I love this salsa recipe, but I can hardly find tomatillos in our grocery stores lately.😋😋🔥❤️
Love it
Where to buy a molcajete? Amazon seems to sell cheap clay ones.
I bought a Molcajete for making salsa because of all the videos showing them. Made salsa on Sunday it was gone before halftime of the first football game I had to make 5 batches it was the hit of the party
Where do I purchase this at?
From where did you buy this ponding mortel?
Hi can you please make a video of you making salsa verde with aguacate
Thank you.
Prefer raw onions? Looks good
Just made this last night and let me tell you! Flavor galore!
Fantastic!
I have volunteer tomitillos in my garden. Couldn't get rid of them if I wanted to. Now I just need to get cilantro to grow. A whole patch. I have 75 garlic cloves in the ground over wintering.
Looks delicious the only thing I would do differently is add a dash or 2 of lime juice
You are more than welcome to.
This is.made in India too ❤❤
Yumm!
Where did you get your comal?
Yum
I remember going through sone tough times in 2013 i made this salsa and since i couldn't afford the meat i had to make sausage tacos 😂 but it kept me alive for the next 3 years till i was able to buy a whole flap meat roast
Where did you get your molcajete??
How did you season your moclajete
I have a video tutorial where I show how I did it. Feel free to check it out.
Why did I just watch this 7 times!!
It’s that good!
Me gusta..
What type of molcajete did you use? I realized that not all of them you can heat?
So delicious
It was!
❤❤❤❤
How much should I expect to pay for a molcajete (sp?) like the one in this video?...
If you buy one make sure it's made in Mexico and not cheap knock off from china. They break and you'll have small stones in your salsa.
Looks so good, wish I could buy the green tomatoes and white onions here 😢
Hello! Is there a substitute for cilantro
You can omit it.
Yes
❤
I love my molcajete. If you want to make th best guacamole, then you need one.
What are those green ones? Are they tomatoes?
those are tomatillos
Yum , I make it in the same way in India without knowing it
Interesting!
Yummy
It's an authentic Bihari (Indian) recipe we call it tomato chutney. We also like to add mustard oil to it it tastes great with rice, dal and fried potato vegetable.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing!
No
Y porque cuando he probado comida de la India no me sabe nada parecido a la receta mexicana
My family has 2 Molcajete that are 100yrs old and still in use. The Molcajete sold these day look almost made by a CNC machine.
What kind of chili?
Villa…….which brand and size of molcajete are you using.?
Here is the link to the one I’m using👉🏻Molcajete 8’’ : amzn.to/3lIKdot
Thank you Villa. You teach me how to make great Mexican food, thank you again 😎
What is the material of this mortar pestle set?
Normally they are made with volcanic stone Basalt.
Perfect timing gonna bbq tonite gonna need sme salsa!!😁
Oh yes!
My abuela added salt from the beginning before adding los chiles
In India it's called tomato chokha....speciality of our state named Bihar
Someone else said chutney if I’m not misspelling
Love it. I have to say I like my salsa chunky.
So good!
I’m guessing a blender could work if you don’t have a stone grinder
We call this chutta chammanthi in Kerala...a state in South India
Looks good but I can’t try it
What if im sitting in germany and dont have a molcajete?
I couldn’t get the skins of the tomatillos to grind down for some reason. Might have been undercooked for this method.
Y uno aguantando hambre
Looks great but i prefer red onion
Fair enough!
No lime in it?
No lime for me.
Con unos huevos
Gracias por la receta
Sin duda! De nada ☺️
Gotta grill the onion too
Look, someone actually making salsa in one instead of using a blender and then pouring it in there.
Que rico!
Its very common in nepal... But 1 ingredient that adds extra twist which we add here in nepal is Sichuan pepper.... It takes the salsa to next nevel....
And we use a stone grinder called Ammikallu
I'd like to know the exact recipe, can you type out the amount of each ingredient so i can make this?
fresh uncooked salsa is better, and healthier
In india its tomato bharta
No liquadora! Probably the traditional version
You did not peel the tomatillos like in your written recipe
What about lime juice
We don’t add lime juice to our salsas. 😊
Its a salsa or tomato cutni in Bangladesh .
Salsa. Mexicans have been making this for 1000s of years.
I love you ❤
This is exactly like the South Indian chammandi
Its similiar to my local version of tomato chutney, bihari style. Unlike this recipe, we add mustard oil and green chillies to it.
Shouldnt you peel the chard, off the tomattillo with yoiur fingers 🤔 then mash it in the molcajete😮
Where's the chips and Coronas 😅🎉
A properly seasoned molcajete is what is the secret to these fire salsas
One secret 🙂 Molcajetes have so many magical traits.
What kinda Chile is that
