Hungry Golden Retriever Accidentally Starts House Fire

- When Ashely O’Donnell and her husband went to bed, they left a plate of cookies near the stove, and once the lights were out, their dog Molly made her move. The golden retriever accidentally hit a knob, turning on the stove and setting a spatula on fire. Smoke filled the kitchen, and minutes later, the smoke detectors went off, waking Ashley and her husband just in time to put it out. But dogs turning into accidental arsonists is more common than you’d think. Here’s how to prevent it. #InsideEdition
Molly:
“I love my owner, but for cookies, I’d burn this place to the ground.”

That should be on a movie. Cool😂
My dogs come to bed with us, and they won't leave the bed unless we do.
My dad, when he goes to bed, closes the door to his room with the dogs inside, so they can’t actually roam around the house and do who knows what.
smart idea or train them not to take things that belong to there masters
Its ok but it depends of the dog, it will cry at some point to open the door (to pee, to drink, to play..)

@@magic.m0p not just the safest way, dogs like have a safe and closed area where they can rest without any disturbance, if i let my dog out at night it would never get 10 hours of sleep
Some dogs actually prefer kennels to sleep. I have one for my dog and just leave the door open.. most of the time he's sleeping in there instead of on his bed out in the open.

Dog-proofing a house is a real thing. We don’t have nice things, we can’t leave out meds, foods, plastic bags, and drinks. Even controllers that’s been there for 5 years can suddenly become interesting chew toys out of the blue.
it’s the way they don’t care that they started the fire. they just leave it there 😭😭😭
their servants will wake up and put it out
They sell child/pet protective covers that you can put on the knobs.
I was just about to comment suggesting that. Good idea
Or you can just take them off, dont waste money

My dog has turned on the stove before, there wasn’t even food there, she just jumped up and turned it on. Lucky for me, I was there, so everything was fine. We don’t let her wander the house at night for a reason.
I am kind of surprised, you do not have some 2 step mechanism to turn stove on. All my stoves had.
Interesting i thought more most stoves you have to turn the gas on first we have a button on the wall turns red then you can light the rings.
@@minaolenella869 what is a two step mechanism? Haven't heard of it here in southeast Asia
@@lulu9421 In the old stove (70y) you had to first turn on general gas, and then turn the knob and light it, newer one you can first turn the stove on with a separate button and then turn knobs or push in and then turn. None of them work when you just turn a knob, that is fire waiting to happen.
It i not really called "2 step mechanism"

Order a set of child/pet protective covers for the knobs on your stove & go live your best life.
Don't leave food on the stove. In fact, don't leave anything flammable on the stove when you aren't using it.
And also train your pooch not to go in the kitchen or get a baby gate. If you look at videos like it's memory the dog with Victoria Stillwell, she's got great tips.
Don't leave food anywhere in the house. Always put it in the fridge
Usually dogs would bark like crazy when a fire is in the house, but self induced ones, nope, we'll keep quiet on this one lol............

Dam, the dog was just trying to make the sun
This is the exact reason we put safety knobs on the stove before we even moved in with our cats and dogs.
