F1 is a great motor sport but these guys, group b and especially the Lancia's were mental with absolutely no fear. I watched these guys and thought they were heroes, then when my turn came to drive I realised just how impressive their skills behind the wheel really were, respect to zll RIP HENRI, SERGIO, COLIN ET AL
In a earlier interwiew he said the car is too powerfull....... Imagine a top class pilot from golden age of rally saying HIS CAR IS TOO POWERFULL.......

If I ever win the euro millions, it’s the first thing I’m going to buy if I can find one. They sell go for around €750,000 now. I want to know what it’s like to drive the car Henri drove for some odd reason.

The S4 was not a car a stiff frame bar and with a big engine and some hood on it which looks like someone forgot to finish. Just to be bigger than the others. Toivonen was a hero to drive this factory madness of Lancia.
Ces voitures étaient ridiculement surpuissantes et quasiment inconduisibles. On en est à nouveau là actuellement. Pas besoin d'un dessin: il suffit de voir le succès croissant des rallyes de véhicules anciens pour comprendre dans quelle voie on aurait dû rester.

He won two ('85 Rac and '86 Monte), retired once while he was leading (Sweden 1986), left in Portugal 1986 while he was 3rd behind two other Delta S4 (Biasion and Alen, 1st and 2nd) and crashed in Corse when he was leading the rally by several minutes. Not bad for a not driveable car, isn't it?
Según se comentó el delta de toivonen tenía un fallo de diseńo en el acelerador ...se debió quedar enganchado por lo menos dos veces ese ańo ....dicen que pudo volver a pasar ese día ya que no hubo ninguna marca de frenada en el accidente....
@Miguel Elgueta saludos miguel de que hay testigos hay pero estaban del otro lado. Y bueno lastima que paso ya que era bien tipo y bien piloto. Creo que hubiera llegado alos grupo A si no fuera este accidente. Estoy como diego jupiter muñoz en facebook si puedes solicitar.👍👌🏁🏁🏁
@Miguel Elgueta Pero el accidente donde pierden la vida Toivonen y Cresto no fue en Monte Carlo, fue en el Rally de Córcega hasta donde recuerdo. En ese accidente el auto se incendió totalmente, quedó hecho cenizas. Este video trata de otro accidente de ellos en Monte Carlo cuando chocan con el auto de un espectador y eso casi le cuesta la victoria a Toivonen, pudiendo llegar al punto de auxilio donde reparan el auto y pueden regresar a la competición, recuperando el tiempo perdido. De igual forma hay que recordar a Toivonen como uno de los más grandes pilotos del Automovilismo, lamentablemente ese Lancia era una bestia indomable y a raíz de ese accidente y el de Portugal, la FIA borró al Grupo B, que realmente representó la era dorada del Rally.

Also he said the drivers are like spare part, when the part is good its good, when its bad they change it.
Don't forget the 'balls of steel' co-drivers who sit beside them
