Yeah, the hoodies definitely are staying. Hoodies are fun and fashionable. I don't think there's really a reason to change the way you dress as long as it's appropriate for your age.
I think everyone should dress as they wish. Wear what you love and feel confident in. Some wish to improve, some love what they do already and both is totally perfect. If you love hoodies, you go right ahead lol x
@@ImjustmeMarleen I don't think it's a matter of improving your style if you stop wearing hoodies, there's all different types of hoodies, sweater hoodies, dressier , sporty ❤️
Good points Marleen. I like floral prints as i was told plain doesnt suit me but as you said wear what you like mot what anyone else likes on you.

Whilst I totally agree on the colour advice - they make a world of difference - I wear lots of the things you advise against and often have my age estimated 10-15 years less than it is.
I think its confusing to mix between what you think makes someone look older, and what you perceive to be outdated or just not your taste / style. They’re not the same thing to me - at all. You mentioned things like pointy shoes being more ‘elegant’ & ‘pretty’, you don’t like or wear florals, and you don’t like hoodies - all fine as your opinion but not necessarily true about making people look older.

I only have one hoodie, and it was bought to wear camping. I wore it today as I'm on a mini break and it's long and I think looks okay over a casual dress I have. I don't wear it much and I have no intention of getting more.
You certainly hit it on the head though about clothes fitting. My mother used to try to dress me in dark clothes, no stripes and baggy tops. I refuse to follow any of those rules now. Fitted is so better.
I love that you said you bought it to wear. As we should. And as long as you and everyone else’s who wears hoodies love them then I have no problem with that at all x
Top loose bottom tight, top tight bottom loose…. I read that somewhere and stayed with me till this day….😅
It makes the balance in an outfit 😁

Hahaha…I found it funny that hoodies will make me look older and outdated. I live in hoodies all fall and winter and always people believe me to be 10 to 15 years younger than I am. They are shocked when I share my true age, almost even disbelieving. I get many compliments on my outfits, too. By both people older and younger than myself. I really think so much of fashion, and the way one’s looks/clothing is perceived is dependent on the individual. I did enjoy your video though.

Many will disagree with me on the hoodies and that is absolutely ok. We all like different things and that is what makes the journey more fun.

Marleen I've been watching a few "don't wear this" in relation to looking frumpy (eg no capris) but they tend to be different style aesthetic to myself and slim. I'd love if you could make this into a series by showing what looks bad and then elevating it. Would be so great to see it on someone closer to my age, style and shape xxx

Thanks for that Marleen, some great tips. I dont like hoodies either! Since watching your channel ive ditched the frumpy clothes and went more towards skirts and dresses...i never had the confidence before. Im lucky that i suit most colours and the brighter the better....fair lifts your mood. Have a lovely weekend xx

Hey Marleen👋 Great tips💯 Always on point 🎯 Thanks for the color tip-- I will definitely use it when in doubt about a color being complimentary or not‼️ Whenever some speaks on florals, I always think of Merle Streep in the movie, 'The Devil Wears Prada' and I laugh at "Florals for Spring? How groundbreaking!" 🤣 Too funny, I loved it❣️ Oh and NO hoodies for me either👍😉
Oh the colour trick is a fab one. Colours are so hard to get right but I find this tip really helps many x
Hi Marleen, informative video. I tend to wear a lot of black. It makes me feel good. I will however add a pop of color with my accessories. I don’t like floral prints…but on the rare occasion I do I always get complements….go figure. Best always.

I agree with some things you said. I think it all depends on where you are. Hoodies are ok to lounge about or a quick run to the store. I dislike pointed shoes. They look terrible to me.
Everything is ok if it’s for you. One of my besties lives in hoodies and no amount of me disliking them will ever make her change her mind.
And that is perfectly ok 🙂

I dislike hoodies, leggings and low rise pants. I prefer classic chic - I don't care if I look old or dated, it's what I feel attractive wearing. Keep it classy is my motto.
