I really think a good chunk of vtubers aren’t putting on a persona, or that much of one. Acting isn’t something that just anyone can do well. Bad actors are very easy to detect, while good actors are rare. Still something that’s difficult to prove either way. I would be leery of the types who are like, “All Vtubers are a 100% fake all the time!” Ask them to provide evidence, usually shuts things down. In my experience, it is fleshtubers and onlyfans types that are more likely to very obviously put on personas for grifting simps, and they are very cringily bad at it.

But an scripted character can only go so far as the script provides for. After that you gotta start filling up the blanks so vtubers always end up revealing much of their true self at the end.

Your clips bring the memories I knew nothing about. Fauna's last words for saplings made me search for the tune I heard already during some sad scenes or moments I don't remember. Yesterday was the day of Fauna recollections for me. And it was hard man. I know she'll be there someday maybe close to February maybe earlier. Though for me Fauna is like a one-movie actor you know. It's hard to assimilate to another virtual image. It's the same for Dooby. I watched both of them in Holo from time to time. But I loved everything they did especially during different collabs.
