I got one of these. Absolutely awesome bikes, you won't get better for the price. My only advice for anyone who thinking of buying one, is change the handlebars to BMX handlebars, and change the breaks to a set of zoom hp100 hydraulic calipers. Those two upgrades make the bike even better
BMX bars on a regular stem are too low for proper seat height. Did you raise them or do you ride with seat too low? ua-cam.com/video/4LrRzM3hrE8/v-deo.html This will kill your knees if you actually pedal.
I also bought the zoom telescopic seat suspension which I’m opinion the icing on the cake with the rest of the mods . I have the 750w is a good entry level not super fast 28mph but safe with in traffic
i bought this bike about a month ago . I love it . i really wanted the X26 model but did not know when it would be available . U.K. has strange laws . It is perfectly legal with no license or restrictions for now in the U.S. Until we have more accidents with ebikes.
My wife and I in Sacramento California just received ours and have been riding them. We bought two at a special price for $1800. They do go very fast with throttle only, kind of scary fast for a bicycle on setting 5. Love the bikes but very heavy, I think 74 pounds.
I bought 2 of them I'm in south tx. I love them.greatest bikes I've purchase. Love the speed. I'm always getting compliments. I wish battery power would last longer. But over all great bikes. I don't care for the handle bars.

It is as illegal as a car with a top speed of 200 km/h, although only 50 km/h is allowed in the city. So it is quite legal after the restrictive settings on the controller.
FYI I've have mine for over 500miles, 18 mile range with only throttle (98kg rider), also has been ridden in terrible weather storms etc and still going! Great bike for the money but haven't seen someone post the real world range.
P.S I've folded it once and that was enough feel your pain guys and totally illegal. You could disable the throttle see manual and restrict speed to 15.5mph in the settings via display. To comply with the UK laws but would still be technically against the law.
@@BelowAverage5154 Yes it does, you can ride a sur ron 5000 watt legally if there is no power to the wheel and you are just pedalling then its a normal bicycle, there are lots of grey areas / loopholes in the UK laws that are nigh on impossible to enforce. It is down to the police to prove you were riding it with the power on, I have a 1500 watt custom made fat bike and have never had any issues (obviously I dont ride like a lunatic in public places etc) Just be sensible and practice your "ghost pedalling" skills ..........
My custom e bike is a 45 mph hub mounted center of a bowframe bicycle with custom sprocket configurations and top end to date was 52 mph down hill and 58 mph flat But ate battery too fast now 38 mph flat and 42 mph hills But that's cool too

Hello, i’ve watched a lot of reviews on this bike, and looking to buy it? but whenever i go to the bike link, it says “250W” in the specs, what’s the matter of that.. isn’t it a 750W?
I own one of these they are good fun. Easy to remove the speed limiter, and make them throttle only. Just make sure you pedal if you pass police throttle only is illegal in the UK. Also so is 30MPH should be limited to 12mph. But thats no fun.
Hypothetically speaking, if "one" was to buy one of these things an use it unregistered on the road to do deliveroo or uber eats or something similar, how likely would "one" be to have problems with the authorities?

Why put it on a train? Because you live in the city and sometimes you want to take it to the country / beach / mountains (though finding a mountain in the UK is hard enough, youd have to go to Wales - by train Plenty of hills where i live, the wooded hills of Bedfordshire - so its an absolute godsend. The main thing that used to make me quit biking was all the uphill involved where i live This bike is awesome

The motors that are “250 watts” give you more than 250 watts when you hit really sharp efforts but they are meant to be limited to 250 for sustained power I’m pretty sure.
I know I'm late but this company has an Engine X model with nominal 250W hub and the full suspension of the model above EP2. Engine X is the only one sold in UK/EU but not North America.
WARNING: !!!! Bought mine in 2020 so I didn't have to use public transport in London. I have ridden it almost every day, a round trip of about 5 miles, and I would fold it and keep it in my house when not in use.. Today, as I was about to head home, the frame snapped just behind the hinge. The bike is now in two pieces and nothing more than a pile of junk.
Mine stopped working, gave an error code, so I'm going to need parts to fix it, and it would be nice to know what that code refered to. I contacted Engwe service, asked wwhere I can buy parts, what that code was, and in case my motor was totally fried..what motors would fit in that wheel. 7 emails later I'm no wiser. Their engineers have no idea what error code 35 is and denied there was such a code until I sent them a video. All my other questions were ignored. Actually, so was my initial email to support, they never replied at all. The last email from service suggested I take it to their maintenance places, but didn't bother telling me where and I can't find any mention of hem. Nice bikes until they break, it's a shame their people and support are useless. Oh, a member of the Engwe UK owners FB group recently posted a scary pic of his frame in two halves after he went over a pothole, so maybe don't be too hard on that hinged weld? BTW it's a 48v battery , 26v doesn't exist.
Electric bikes are not allowed on trains all electric bikes are banned from public transport even ferries , as they say are a fire hazard, they are also looking at cars on channel crossing and most car ferries are doing the same,

I don’t think a limiter is allowed. Think it has to literally be a 250 watt motor.

The motor and battery are sealed so should be fine.
Goop up the hole where the wires come from the controller. Controller died at 380 miles and had water droplets inside.
If this bike was any shorter in length it would be a unicycle.
