I realize this is an older video. However, any time you have the ability, want, or need to buy a HVLP spray gun setup, go for it. Painting with a good gun makes laying down paint so much easier and flows extremely well. And in the end, you will probably have the same amount of money spend as buying many many rattle cans of paint. But you will always have the gun for other projects as well. I think you would love to be able to spray other things with such a gun setup. Easy peasy...
I tried run ing around squirt ing paint like that.I got paint allover every thing but the cart body, do I have to move around that fast or can you slow down and use slow even strokes.MADE ME TIRED!!!

5 cans of paint, 5 cans clear, and 1 can trim

No primer but I did use 220 grit with an orbital pneumatic sander very lightly to prep the surface

I want to say I used 5 cans of each. It took a weekend. The longest time is waiting between coats

I used 320 for most then finished wet sanding with 1000
