This is some of the most beautiful music ever created since John Williams.John Charles should come back to create and score more music for more movies, especially here in America."He is a music director for New Zealand television, and Austrialian television",if my boyfriend`s memory serves him right,he says.My boyfriend says he remembers this movie ,and music from when he was in early high school.
One of the most beautiful movie scores of all time, right up there with John William's compositions of pieces like "Close encounters of the third kind suite" The quiet earth" is truly an underrated Masterpiece
Finally got my hands on a mint vinyl copy of this tough to find OST. Looks like it had never been played. Had to have it after revisiting this 80's gem that was horribly ignored and discarded decades ago. You'd think I could find a copy here in the U.S., you'd be wrong. Switzerland! A fantastic score and something about this film keeps me coming back now and again. Not sure if it's the score, the way NZ spells Tires (Tyres), the charming Alison Routledge or a very slick matte painting of the coolest funnel clouds I've ever seen. Actually I've always enjoyed films that follow the vein of "The Omega Man" with Charlton Heston, last man on Earth kind of thing. Thanks for posting, a very enjoyable track.
I sit on my front porch watching the sun come up in the morning listening to this music.😊☕
When the three of them hugged. Just wow.
Couple months ago I felt compelled to watch this before waiting for the first sunrise of 2024. Such a truly humbling opening to a movie
Simply awesome !!!! As good as Hollywood’s Golden era soundtracks !!!

Hermosa composición
Sublime sounds.
Great movie. Great soundtrack. But why on Earth would they spoil the end of the movie on the soundtrack's cover?
