Sharon Stone, what a beautiful soul. I will never forget her heart wrenching video at the height of the pandemic when her sister was very ill. She is genuine, grateful, and open which seems rare for someone of her caliber. She is a breath of fresh air and so glad she is around to share.
My fave Sharon Stone moment was at the end of Casino, when she's in a white stole and heels, outside the bank, and the 2 cops show up, ....and she acts like a disheveled knock-kneed cross-eyed kook.
This interview makes me sad. I can’t believe that this woman had been incredibly famous and beloved by millions of people all over the world yet she was all alone in her early forties when she had the stroke and it took 3 days for someone to take her to the hospital! I find it so shocking and sad, she is very lucky to be alive and have recovered fully. I am glad she is speaking out and sharing her incredible life story. 💕
Same thing happened to Joni Mitchell a few years ago. She too had a brain aneurysm and laid in her home for 3 days before being found. She should have died but somehow managed to survive. She has worked herself back to a degree but nowhere near as good as Sharon has.
I wondered if those people that brought her home thought she was just on something or drunk? Its unbelievable 3 days? And the gallbladder thing, sometimes Doctors don't listen.
@@amysmiles9751 ive heard of many stories of doctors not listening people’s complaints and worries. And I’m sure she has a great health insurance... let’s not even mention those that have shitty plans or no health insurance whatsoever!
I work in mental health and see how the medical profession downplays people with mental health issues. It’s so sad. People with severe persistent mental illness on average due 25 years earlier than people without mental illness. It’s pathetic and sad. It angers me so much.
I had 30 years of belly pain, misdiagnosed by numerous docs until finally, by a stroke of luck, I found a surgeon who recognized my symptoms as gallbladder and I had surgery that very evening. She said there were 3 large stones inside, one the size of a peach pit. There was no excuse for the pain I suffered up to that point except ignorance.
@@damiettes7140 I saw a half-dozen, in 3 different states. They all misdiagnosed the cause of my stomach pain as either ulcers, gird or indigestion, even after an ultrasound and CT scan, they missed it. I had zero indigestion, ulcer or gird.
Sharon is still incredibly beautiful and well spoken. I especially loved hearing about her earlier days with all the legends she mentioned. It would be great if you did another interview with her sharing more of those days. Thanks, Katie!
My brother’s wife (56 years) recently had a stroke, spent a month in the hospital, and is continuing to gain strength at home. They say she is lucky, she went back to bed after feeling a little off thinking she was just tired. So scary, so young.
Nice to hear someone, even as famous and privileged as her, speak about how she appreciates all the amazing experiences she has had...I'd say if she can pass that quality on to her boys, they are very lucky to have her as a mom and a role model.

I feel like this every day with my own Kaiser doctor. I'm middle age, the blood tests don't provide evidence for my physical pain, they just think I'm exagerating, but there is something at the bottom of how I feel.
I never knew about her health challenges she has had. It's refreshing to see how grateful and humble she is with her experiences. She is so brave and talented.
For 25 years, doctors didn't take me seriously. They told me my problems were emotional (hysterical woman). Finally I found a doctor who took me seriously and tested me based on my symptoms. He and 3 other doctors, including a Social Security physician, determined I had very severe physical illness. I got Social Securiy immediately. I struggled to work all that time.when I wasn't taken seriously. Pathetic!
I am so glad you found a doctor who cared enough to follow through. And what happened to you happens all the time. I had an encroached nerve in my neck that was so debilitating I lost the use of my arm and for 5 yrs while half the doctors were misdiagnosing my symptoms, the other half were implying it was all in my head until one doctor finally connected the dots. Some doctors unfortunately are still "practicing" medicine.
@@isabellind1292 I'm glad it worked-out okay for you. It seems like it's not easy to find good doctors. @@roseannes335 Thank you. And frankly, I'd rather have a doctor who cannot properly diagnose my symptoms refer me to another doctor. Sharon, the same thing happened to me at Scripps in La Jolla 19 years ago. They thought I was faking my gall bladder pain because I was too young and fit to be as sick as I was describing.
Women are rarely believed-- about ANYTHING. Not your pain, not your opinion, and certainly not when you say, "no" to a male. I developed diverticulitis which flares from time to time. I know what it feels like and I can tell when I need to get some good pain meds and antibiotics. There's no cure other than removing the affected bowel area via surgery (no thanks). So, the familiar pain starts and I go to a walk-in doctor, as mine has no appts. I explained my history, that I knew this was what was happening, and this doctor insisted I go to the ER because it was my appendix! I lost half a day of my life, and took up space in an ER, for no reason simply because "What did I know about my own body?" And THEN factor "ageism" into the picture. When I was in my early 50's, I slipped on water on a tile floor and fell, and landed nearly all of my weight onto my right hand/wrist. The next day it was starting to bruise and I couldn't grasp/pick anything up. The doctor sent me to a specialist who started his appt with me by saying, "Well, you know that when we age...". I looked at him and said, "I fell and nearly broke my wrist, you condescending prick!". I walked out and got a different specialist. Those are only two, out of dozens of times, where I was dismissed about my own body by doctors. I eventually started being a b&tch and insisted on having what I felt I needed. That works. 😉
