      Is this a promotional video or did you buy it with your own money, at full price?
      This happens to be the second Vevor product video I've seen today, and the first was sent to the guy's channel for free, in exchange for a review. My guess is, Vevor is blitzing their brand name out there all of a sudden, because I've never heard of them before today.
      Later today, I'll probably get recommended Vevor socks, or Vevor beer, since they apparently sell everything.

      @hxhdfj ifzir st c Usually what happens is I get stuff I need, and try to capitalize my investment by making a video about it and throwing down an affiliate link. Ill talk more about why this one in a later video, but I actually need to get 3 more. Now, if the product is neat, useful, or fitting to my channel it may get its own video. If it's not, I'll trash it as to how junky it is. I get offered free stuff pretty often, but it's usually just random junk, like USB chargers or phone accessories for a phone I don't have.
      Not to long ago I contacted Vevor about an EDM machine, as broken bolts are far to frequent on my outboards, and EDM machines are huge problem solvers.
      I asked for a discounted used return, slightly damaged, or a sample I could try try out and return. They didn't exactly tell me to pound sand, but... that's what it felt like.

      @@BrandonsGarage I don't know that this will help, but sometimes you can cut a slot in the end of a broken bolt and then use a screwdriver to remove it. Something like a small end mill burr in a die grinder. Or if you're breaking the bolts as you remove them, those induction heater 'bolt busters' seem to work very well.

    maybe try a gopro camera for underwater and use the old unit as a monitor screen?

    they also sell electric dc motors that would work for a old outboard coversion to electric. not water sking haha but good enough for trolling

    NICE I GOT 2 "NEWPORT VESSELS" TROLLING MOTOR'S........A 46lb & 55lb......fresh & saltwater .....way cheaper than the other NAMEBRAND ones....have had them for over 5 years no issues

  • @splywaj3158
    @splywaj3158 2 місяці тому

    Ok, I bought two 55lbs Vevor motors, too many troubles with them.
    27.2 volts is the main problem, if your battery has more than 27.2 volts the engine does even start, you have to discharge the battery below 27.2.
    This problem happens especialy when you have solar panels to load battery.
    Another problem appears when you use full power for 15-20 minutes, after that motor loses its power to a half of nominal, so intead of consuming 20-25A it gets 10-13A. You have to stop the motor to cool it for 15-30 minutes and than full power gets back.
    Inspection inside: electronic is well sealed and it has huge radiator, seems it is not enough but helps not to burn the contoller.
    Seems it is not PWM but ESC controller.
    I payed only around 110$ per motor including shipping but consider buying this product, if you have very light trolling behave it is perfect for you, long distance with full power and heavy wind is very dengerous with that motor.

    @-Viceroy- Рік тому +1

    That doesn't look half bad.
    Is that a PWM controlled or the old school resistor/waisting battery control for speed?

    • @BrandonsGarage
      @BrandonsGarage  Рік тому +1

      This ducker is pulse width controlled.
      I bet it even has a brushless motor too; At some point I might open it up to inspect.

    • @-Viceroy-
      @-Viceroy- Рік тому +1

      @tallwill38 No one never uses half speed??
      I built a PWM controller for my old electric motor because i use a lot of low speed.
      My nerdy little brain didn't want to get a huge battery just to drain it in half speed

    • @BrandonsGarage
      @BrandonsGarage  Рік тому +1

      @@-Viceroy- the heat generated from the resistor type speed controllers is also a concern.
      I've melted down countless components in my golf cart trying to make it do truck things.
      I have this massive aluminum coil type in there now, it won't be melting again.
      ...instead other things melt.

      I just ordered a pretty big electrical panel to house the electronics for my water filtration and sprinkler setup.
