Oh yeah, lovely sounding out of the box even. Your largest floor tom sounds like a timpani, how cool is that!! Love it!! Very happy for you fellow drummer!
I always played a huge kit like this back in the day. A few years ago I switched to a 2 up 2 down setup, classic rock sizes and I couldn't be happier. Easy to mic up and mix and make videos. Less is more now a days for me, but back in the day having a bug kit was the way to go. Good luck, very nice kit.
Sweet kit brother look forward to seein more content with that beast of a kit comin in the future! Congrats on a sweet Flippin kit! Just lookin at that thi g makes me wanna go listen to classic rock and 80's big hair metal rock and makes me wanna go get behind my kit and press record!
Congrats on getting the kit of your dreams. I am absolutely jealous but happy for you. I call myself a cellar dweller. Never been in a band. I have had the pleasure of sitting in with mostly cover bands in the 80's. Always played for fun. Almost fifty years so far.
Thank you! 10 years of saving and this is the payoff. This kit is so much fun to play. I hope everyone can experience being able to purchase their dream kit.
Hey brother, kit sounds great. I saw you on the drum history podcast. It was really informative. Nice to see power toms getting some love! I'm on an MIJ Tama Rockstar from 89 10x10 12x11 13x12 14x13 16x16 18x16 and 2 22x16 with a Starclassic Walnut/Birch 14x8. I recently rewrapped it and replaced all the original hardware. Love the channel brother keep it goin!
Thank you. I was very honored to be on Drum History Podcast. My list was not all-inclusive, not enough time. Lol. However, I thought we did a great job of highlighting the history of power toms :). I love the sizes of your kit. Power Toms for the win!
hi andrew....for me it is TAMA rockstar custom 2000,22x16, 8x8,10x9,12x10,13x11,14x12,16x12 rack toms , artwood maple snare 13x4 , superstar classic 14x5 diecast hoops and starclassic performer 14x6.5 LTD edition !
I say , I say, what da fuk did I just watch...? I'm guessing a video of how not to set up your drum kit ,how not to play them and why tuning is important. Not trying to be a hater because everyone has to start somewhere but damn...
Beautiful set but have you ever considered less angle on your toms? I know personal preference but you'll get better stick performance. Force of the stick will be midpoint not at the almost top. You might see less dings in the heads too.
You might want to try something else. Are you one of those Jehovah people who go around telling other people what they need and want , having never met any of them before?
The four biggest toms all sound like timpani drums. If you have a pair of staccato timpani mallets, try using them and you'll be shocked at the result. I did this for a funeral recently, and a drummer I know who couldn't see my set-up (because I was in the choir loft) thought I had an actual timpani in my set up.
That’s a beautiful kit. Too many shells. You are too distracted. Learn some rudiments and become a better musician so you can take advantage of your investment
It’s just the right amount of drum shells. If you like smaller kits, awesome. This is My Dream kit. This was also the first time I ever played it. It’s been tweaked a bunch of times since.
Hey good for you man! Beautiful kit. Nice to see some real drums not the toys they put out now. Also it’s nice to see your setup. Plenty of sheep out there with the one up two down and flat toms. The people telling you how you should set up YOUR KIT are fools and obviously not real drummers pay no mind.
Thank you. Yeah, there are a lot of self-arbiters of drumming. They always tell you (me) I have setup my kit wrong. The truth is, if the setup works for you, then that’s all that matters. I did greatly re-adjust my kit after this video. I was just in a hurry to set it up and play something. It’s definitely a bit more streamlined now.
“Obviously not real drummers”?????? How would someone who’s not a drummer know how to set up a kit, well or poorly? Sheep??? Everyone has their toms low and flat because that makes the the most ergonomic sense. You’re not better than everyone else for thinking this is a well set up kit, you’re just part of a stubborn minority. Big drums offer no benefit other than looking cool.
@@PowerTom_kyle Again dude, if everyone you meet says the same thing, they just might have a point and you should consider what they’re saying. Ignoring all criticism is something every one of the most hated people in history have done. It’s willful ignorance, AKA Denial.
Had fun watching these videos. Thanks for sharing. Sounds great!
Good lord this is absolutely nuts
Yes it is! Thank you!

The neighbors when you're loading it into the house - "ah shit".
Lololol so true

awesome. For me...more is more. I love all the tonal opportunites. That is also why I have a variety of Zildjian cymbals. K's, A's, A Custom. :)

Dude! That was great, and pretty amazing that it’s nearly perfect straight out of the box!
It sounds freakin' amazing!!

Looks great
Can never have too many drums or cymbals
it will get smaller after you lug all that to a few gigs.
That sure is a pretty kit. I would go with two fewer toms. I tend to use even sizes; 6, 8, 10 and so on down to 18. Thanks for sharing!

They need a lot of work
You need alot of work
These have been greatly readjusted. As you can see, it is the inaugural play.

@@canatolakhoemini6728He offered a suggestion and you took it as a criticism.
@@canatolakhoemini6728 holy shit he's stating facts shut up
All that's missing is the face make-up. Oh, and the hair!!! Congrats on the fantastic kit.
What!?! Theres a guy back there? Lol. Nice kit! Not sure if I agree with the angle on those toms but, to each his own I guess.
Awesome kit!
Curious as to why you have the toms angled like this?
Big kid playing a big toy thats all. LOL!
Easier to reach and not hit accidental rimshots
Congrats to you!✊️🥁👌
I love that set i would like to have a set up like that
😍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Now just learn to play drums and keep the sticks in a hand.
Congratulations on getting your Dream "has now come true" Kit!
Like i understand you Play Drums Last 30 years??
What was the grand total?

Such a strange comment, most prefer smaller kits but there are some of us who love a larger lot either way lots of toms. Great kit!
Hmmmm okay.
Nice drums, I guess the gear is more important than anything else.
You look like you are having fun and enjoying your hobby.
Good on you!!
I have since adjusted this kit to a more playable position. Yes, this kit is pure joy. Worth every penny for years of endless fun:)
why those drums setup like a jc penny catalog
lol. It was the initial setup. It is greatly improved since then .
@@PowerTom_kyleNot sure about greatly, as your hihat is lower than and behind your snare, which is still too angled, along with your toms…

Very cool kit! Be careful with the sticks lying on top of that gorgeous lacquer. Cheers!
Rock on brother. Play for the love of it dw about people being negative.
Serious rig my man!
That drum kit looks and sounds amazing! The only thing missing is a massive gong cymbal at the back it would really finish off the look 👀!
More drums than ability.
Uhhhmm Yeah man yeah yeah I hear you😎😏😉.
That kit sounds incredible. It’s nice just hearing the raw sound without processing. Enjoy!
80s style !!
So, one day you decided just to order a shtload of drums, take 2 drumlessons and go nuts... Great!
That was a month ago?
80's depths. They sound huge though.
Yup! More drummers today should change it up. Everyone uses 10x7, 12x8…boring.
@@danrivera7 I don’t what it is, but every drummer thinks they need to drum-splain everything to me about my kit. I’m good, thanks.
insane
Very nice!
15K??
Need more cowbell!
too many money for so little talent
It’s all about fun. It ain’t a competition. But if it makes you feel better to shit all over me that’s cool. Have a great day.
All the gear, no idea
Hilarious. My setup has greatly improved since the initial first setup and play.
So you have enough money to buy them. If you spend that amount on lessons it would better investment. Your playing abilities are lacking..
Cool perspective. I really don’t care. I play for fun.
Not mic'd, no thanks.
The purpose was to show the sound raw. No mics, no tuning.
No mic no problem! Sounds great and really happy for you to have such an amazing kit!
They definitely need tuning. Killer kit.
