yoooo i found the prisoner's portrait in the extensive time spent scouring the stranger because i was way too scared of the dream worlds! i noticed the broken antler and immediately figured that they must be an important character, and the scratched out face made me pretty sure he was gonna be a friend :D it was pretty much the only time ive been able to do that kinda thing in this game, and it honestly helped me feel a little bit more comfortable with going into the dream world now that i knew one of them was friendly, or even that they were ostracized from the group. definitely humanized the owelks for me
If you stay in the vessel at the end of the game when your solar system is about to explode you can see The Stranger in the distance floating away until it is shrouded in darkness.
Oh. I think youre right. Sounds a lot like what I remember from zelda but Im probably imagining it since the easter egg had me thinking about that game.
One of my favorite achievements in the game is “Celsius 232.78” with the description of “This knowledge isn’t going to forbid itself!” And to get it you have to burn a slide reel at any fire/campfire. It’s such a hilarious achievement to me
When looking at the reel, you can see that it's the same owlk who enters the chambers in the first 2 tests, and a different one in the 3rd, which is kinda sad because that means that the owlk was either killed or injured by the test, or, if we're being really optimistic, just scared of doing any more tests. Although we don't find their body floating outside the breach on the stranger or anything I don't think, so that's good
They almost certainly died, the explosion ripped a hole straight through the stranger in the game. If the blast didn't kill them, the vacuum of space did.

(The rest of the comment is just theories on what said dlc might be or how they'll be implemented) Given the missing Owlk ship on the stranger id wager the next dlc may start with us finding said missing ship and it being pre-programmed to take us to one of the neighbouring solar systems (Perhaps it's cloaked on timber hearth so they could do what they did with the stranger and ret-con it to having been there the whole time.) The nomai's original solar system. We know for a fact the nomai that came to our solar system whernt from either of the two solar systems we see as the signal goes past them to reach the vessel, as such if they did attempt to do something like that it woulr have to be abandoned. Perhaps they used all their own natural recources like the owlk's but rather than fall into despair they ventured out into the universe and became the nomai as we know them. (Personally id love to explore a darker side of the nomai) The interloper: This is the one im the most confident about, given we know absolutely nothing about the interloper like how it came to our solar system or what caused it to release the ghost matter in the first place... The owlks had a much larger role then we thought before the nomai so it could be safe to assume some other species where observing the nomai and as they grew too close to discovering the eye's location they sent the interloper to wipe the nomai out.
This isn't an easter egg so much as it is a reference, but if you damage the Deep Space Satellite, the achievement you get for it is "The Silenced Cartographer," which is a reference to a mission in Halo: Combat Evolved called "The Silent Cartographer." It's a fairly open-ended level set on an island where your goal is to find a map room that will let you locate the titular ring world's control center. It's locked, so you need to find a security station somewhere on the island to unlock it, kind of like how you can only progress in certain areas in Outer Wilds by doing something else somewhere first (for example, you can only find out what's in the Black Hole Forge by first raising it in the Meltwater District, then going to the Brittle Hollow tower on Ash Twin).
Thank you for explaining that the secret reel can be found elsewhere but it’s partially burned. not an easter egg really. They show them waking up in a reel and we would have worked out from where. The tall tower with the 3 antennas I think. But neat none the less!
2:40 2 years later, but I think they removed that room because now there's a bunch of shelves and a chair with no way out. Am i the only one with this issue?
they did not remove it. They updated and changed it slightly. On the shelves that you mentioned youll find some wine bottles. If you check the corks or lids of those bottles one of them will have the option to rotate it. Rotating it will open the passageway shown in the video ::D
3:30 is only a nod to the early 90's. Black undershirt, popped collar, chain, classic school photo background, and that's not a "big head". It's called a hi-top fade.
No. One of the devs has a cat named comet. So when you light the candle a comet appears. Then a kitty arrives. So it’s a nod to that. Certainly not me.
@@TheLoreExplorer ah ok it was just a idea anyways. I thought that the comet was a galaxy at first. Have you gotten the achievement yet where you have to ride the tidal wave on a raft? Also, do you know what the portrait of that one owlk in the dream world means?

Hey lore explorer, there’s a video called “outer wilds puzzle” by a UA-camr named Lorkhan, and I think you should try to solve it. I have no clue how though, it just looks like alien writing, but maybe you could
if you go to dreamworld and travel via raft to the sunken prison and you look at the sky and pay attention, you can see theres an actual, physical object. WHAT THE FREAK IS THAT AND WHY CANT I FIND ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
@Eazy-V idk how to do that. But if you know how to, give me your discord, and next week when I have my PC I can show you what I mean by screen sharing the game
You mean the eye silencing probe? The owlks built it in one of their ship docking bays. Where you enter the stranger. You can see the resemblance from the reel and the docking bay. Exactly how or where isnt known. But a ship is missing from one of the ports. So a lot of people assume they transformed a ship to become the probe.
Don't know if it's an Easter egg or if you've ever brought it up but when you're following the owlks through the tunnel to the cabin if you look up above them i think you'll see the shadow of a hand, almost like their projected selves in the dream world are being held in the lanterns
Isn't that because they are holding their lanterns? Thats my guess, since the light source is below their hand, their hand's shadow would be projected on the ceiling.
Greetings from Russia (Let's not talk about politics) something is wrong with your video, but I know it will be cool, I love your analysis of the game "Outer Wilds"
Thanks for the kind words Mad Gamer. And thanks for reporting when something was wrong! Glad it was only for you! And glad its working now! Hope you enjoy!
I played Outer Wilds first before I recently played Breath of the Wilds so it's reversed in my experience. I saw things that look like something in Outer Wilds :) The thing where you put the tablet looks like the switches in the Stranger to call elevators and enable/disable stuffs. There are many trials like the Quantum trial. Despite it being a big influence to Outer Wilds, I'm not a fan so far though. I think it's too Ninentdo and designed for kids which is cool in a world where games are mostly killing and sex XD but it's just not for me. The story is cliche and doesn't intrigue me so far
Yeah if you want good story definitely try some of the earlier 3D Zelda's that came before BotW, I recommend Twilight Princess. BotW tried and succeeded at being a cool open world game but it sacrificed the 3D zelda charm IMO.
@@CodeRed0 Maybe I should finish at least one Zelda game. At the moment, I haven't played BOTW in days, I just don't feel the urge to play it and I think most of it is because of the story. I feel like botw does a decent job at that. Yeah. It’s all historical and legendary and you know the story in advance. But breathe of the wilds makes it personal. In this place you find a missing npc among them, this stands for the prisonner who betrayed them and wake up to release the seal from the eye
not an easter egg really. They show them waking up in a reel and we would have worked out from where. The tall tower with the 3 antennas I think. But neat none the less!
@@TheLoreExplorer true but still a cool detail to notice.
Holy shit(no pun intended) that korok/poop Easter egg is actually awesome
2:40
2 years later, but I think they removed that room because now there's a bunch of shelves and a chair with no way out.
Am i the only one with this issue?
they did not remove it. They updated and changed it slightly. On the shelves that you mentioned youll find some wine bottles. If you check the corks or lids of those bottles one of them will have the option to rotate it. Rotating it will open the passageway shown in the video ::D
Disco dave is my second favorite Owlek (I call them Owleks)
"Pretty fly" easter egg
remake, lol
that cat looks so similar to another cat from a mojile game called "nameless cat"
It's not actually a Zelda song, it's a poor recorder cover of Elegy for the Rings
edit: at least I think it is
Finnaly! Thank you!
Yo, its not just random cat comet, this is 146% Nyan Cat :3
If u dont remember - its cosmodancer cat with rainbow "tail"
Its added for and named after one of the devs cats. Specifically a cat named Comet. The actual design or whatever of the cat idk
What's with the chrischan cadence?
3:30 is only a nod to the early 90's. Black undershirt, popped collar, chain, classic school photo background, and that's not a "big head". It's called a hi-top fade.
2:40 every time I try to get to this easter egg it's a wine cabinet. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
No. They updated it. One of the bottles of wine is actually a secret button to open art room
Nice! This video is awesome! Do you think that the developers added the cat as a tribute sorta thing about you because you have a cat?
I tried going to the Easter egg but I will not work for me 3:13
The Easter egg at 3:30 kinda reminds me of the guy from Vitas, the 7th element 😂😂
Did you use "cheats mod" as the mod in this video?, I also want to try exploring the owlk world with flashlight
"Cheat and debug Menu" mod. Also , there is a "day dream" mod where it lights the dreamworld up as if its daytime. Its excellent. Especially for exploring the simulation with the need for a flashlight. You can also download the friendly owlk mod to get a leisurely stroll through the simulation! Have fun!
Hey lore explorer, there’s a video called “outer wilds puzzle” by a UA-camr named Lorkhan, and I think you should try to solve it. I have no clue how though, it just looks like alien writing, but maybe you could
ua-cam.com/video/XYiMI-Vp74M/v-deo.html that’s the link to the video
Why is his game so much brighter when the owlks are patrolling? Does reduced frights turn the lights on?
It's a mod called Brighter Dreams
@@OHADI22 Thank you!
if you go to dreamworld and travel via raft to the sunken prison and you look at the sky and pay attention, you can see theres an actual, physical object. WHAT THE FREAK IS THAT AND WHY CANT I FIND ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
Did you try to noclip with mods or else ?
@Eazy-V idk how to do that. But if you know how to, give me your discord, and next week when I have my PC I can show you what I mean by screen sharing the game
@Eazy-V like please you can block me or whatever afterwards but I wanna know what it is and why it's there
it's a kitty cat aww.
How is everything so bright for you without the candles on?
I use mods to showcase the dream world!
Great video
Where do you think the device that controls the eyes of the universe comes from? I couldn't find it.
I'm your fan! from Japan!🇯🇵
Does anyone know if any easter eggs have been found since?
“Off-Key Zelda Music” haha that’s elegy of the rings playing not Zelda music
Yeah. Youre right. I could swear it does remind me of zelda music though.
Just to be clear. There are no way to view this slide real since i need to jump down, leaving my lantern behind with no way to get back up?
there is definitely a way. I think you ride the top of the elevator and hop down.
You can put the slide reel in, then wake up and re-enter the area. The slide reel stays in.
@@Laevatrien2 Didn't think of that thank you
Don't know if it's an Easter egg or if you've ever brought it up but when you're following the owlks through the tunnel to the cabin if you look up above them i think you'll see the shadow of a hand, almost like their projected selves in the dream world are being held in the lanterns
Isn't that because they are holding their lanterns? Thats my guess, since the light source is below their hand, their hand's shadow would be projected on the ceiling.
Greetings from Russia (Let's not talk about politics) something is wrong with your video, but I know it will be cool, I love your analysis of the game "Outer Wilds"
sorry, false alarm, I'm having trouble with the video
Thanks for the kind words Mad Gamer. And thanks for reporting when something was wrong! Glad it was only for you! And glad its working now! Hope you enjoy!
Now I wish my gamertag could be LaserDiscoBigHeadGuy. Why did you do this to us? 😭
Hey lore
Hi
@@Indian0Lore not you
KITTY❗❗❗
I played Outer Wilds first before I recently played Breath of the Wilds so it's reversed in my experience.
I saw things that look like something in Outer Wilds :)
The thing where you put the tablet looks like the switches in the Stranger to call elevators and enable/disable stuffs.
I just know that I need to beat the Ganon and collect the guardians or something and I kinda know what will happen already?
I feel like botw does a decent job at that. Yeah. It’s all historical and legendary and you know the story in advance. But breathe of the wilds makes it personal. You go through the trials of these ancient champions yourself. And so I feel like they do a Decent job giving you a personal connection with the world and story at large. Sort of like we follow the nomais steps. We follow the champions.
@@AninoNiKugi BOTW is pure gameplay masterclass, story is not really interesting although champions are so cool and so their stories but they're just cutscenes, but if you are playing BOTW for story you are wrong, I hope I don't sound too harsh 😅
@@cloud99vii27 That's the thing, story is a big thing for me to push forward in most games. Though I must say, I think the fact that I don't have my own Switch and it was my brother's is a big factor I didn't feel like continuing especially since I know it's a very long game. I would probably play it again and finish if ever I get it as my own :)
Easter eggs and secrets are not the same thing
mega mind
"This is a way to find the actual Eye Silencing Probe the Owlks left at the Eye. And it's actually just a green speck on the horizon that you can zoom in with your signal scope to actually see."
But... what horizon? Where do I zoom in? What part of the sky? What direction? Where's the 'way to find the actual Eye Silencing Probe'? :(
1:36 he farted
Your Tuber voice kinda ruined the wonder of exploring these easter eggs
if you wanted wonder, you would have explored the game for easter eggs yourself
