@@BromeroCards There might not be any real difference. Lisa does more beyond pouncing with the Local King Magic Mushrooms. Check out her Magic Mushrooms online workshop Aug 6th, 2022 video to see her numerous techniques and tips.
I’ve followed you since I found your videos! You’re a great presenter with knowledge and experience in card making. Keep up the good work!! Love is love!
GREAT video, Ricki!! You always crack me up - love the "Mike" shirt - nice conversation starter when you're out and about - LOL!! I have the same dislike for embossing powder - between the fine gritty texture and the fact that it manages to get on every surface in my craft room while using it - drives me crazy! I have found that using a large cardboard box when embossing is quite helpful. Seems to wrangle in those microfine pieces of grit pretty well. Also, using a Swiffer cloth on your work surface is GREAT at picking up all the debris. Anyway... love your video and tutorial on using the new Pouncers. The feathers turned out AMAZING!! 🙂
It looks like you can leave the base out, so you can set the pouncer into when not using it, to save your workspace from getting mucky. But you know I have to know what happens if you use it with non-water-based inks, because I'm mischievous like that! 😄 Loving this new format.
Hi, I am new to your channel. I am also in the UK, 🇬🇧. I loved your demo especially the feather its just stunning. The gradient of colour was amazing. I will certainly be back to watch more of your demo's. Have a great day. 💜
Great. Idea. Love the way you present all the information without being in any way critical. I agree that storage space could be a factor.Looking forward to more videos.
The daubers definitely look interesting, I loved the fact you looked at them in use in a live video. Seeing a product used for the very first time in real life is definitely amazing. You did a marvellous video showing how to use the product. Would love to see a video of them being cleaned, dried and used a few days later. Love the neutral set I can see myself buying them especially for using black ink. Great tutorial wish more people would show new products like you did, fully inspirational thank you.❤
Secondly 😊, I agree with you on the pouncers; I just tried mine today - they are amazing, they pick up ink SO quickly (you wanna try them with Catherine Pooler inks: you barely need to touch the ink pad!). They work amazing on delicate stencils, too: no more catching fiddly bits and messing up the stencil and or / image. Love them!
Definitely interested in these for my stencils of which I have a whole lot of delicate ones. Will try the neutrals as I do use those colors, and if I decide against them, I would rather have blown $13 as opposed to $40. First time watching a video of yours and I could feel your honesty, so I thank you for that. Will be checking out the rest of your channel. Cheers!
New feather & butterfly dies?! Uh-oh wallet…look out😂 I just got done making some feather cards using Gina’s feather dies. They are all beautiful. I thought if I never saw another feather die that I’d be OK with that, but…
You‘re old, HA! I kept thinking during the summit, all those great UA-camrs who are so inspiring to me (that‘s you, Ricky 🙂) and the I read „…has been crafting since 2013“ or“…2009“ or even „2006“… When my dad died a few years back, I found a card I made him in 1998 - and I had been crafting for years at that point! Oh well, I guess, I AM old (51 🤩) - still love crafting though and still learning new stuff and trying new stuff. Thank you for your videos and inspiration, kind regards from Germany, Nicola
Maybe you can get one of the desktop vacuums to help clean the embossing powders off. I heard they work really good. Great tutorial on the paper pounces! I like them. I was wondering what they were and you did a great job showing them. Thank you!
Interesting product - at a quick glance and sample of the butterfly, only difference is size between dauber and this product?? I always try to see how I can maximize use or do I have other tools that accomplish the same outcome. I guess I would need to try these, other than maybe covering more paper, the same outcome of the daubers? Hmmmm????
awesome video. thank you for the demo. would love to see it through stencil and straight on a card background to see how they are with ink blending bigger objects or spaces
A positive tool for stenciling. With your new technology savvy, more UA-cam videos are in the works, perchance? So if your are not engaged in home inspections, what is your work beyond cards, etc. Have you considered art journaling?
Hey Ricky. Great job! Pretty sure they intended the colors be used on color families…like many do with foam blenders, so now issue with faint leftover ink on sponge. Wanted to dislike another new product 😂 but afraid these might be worth a try. For us Boomers with arthritis I can see a serious benefit for shoulders and wrists using these instead of foam blenders BUT only trying them will prove that. As always, price will determine value.
Looks like a great product - my first thought is wondering how Tim Holtz domed sponges compare using the same pouncing technique. As for small companies coming up with similar products, I would say that is how many great products evolve - look at the stamp pressure tool that evolved from a homemade design for Gina K - everyone under the sun is now creating them. If other companies didn’t come up with their own version of a similar product we wouldn’t have so many choices - look at ink blending brushes - many probably have versions from several companies. Thanks for the video!
That’s a good question regarding the domed sponges. I don’t have the domed ones, only the flat ones I used when I first started crafting so I can’t really compare them!! Maybe that can be a good video!
I do like the pounders have a container - may help the sponge from getting hard. Isn’t space always an issue for us crafters who like to try out and keep all the things!
Great video and love the new tools. Excited to try them as I love ink blending. If I may ask, would you mind sharing what program you are using to switch your cameras from face to desktop? As a fellow creator and new to all this technology I would love to be able to do this for my videos, i’m just not sure what program to use. Thanks for your help. Katy ❤
I believe the daubers I have used were actual sponge material (like the kind we use in sinks) these are made with a more compressed sponge. Others say it’s kinda like a make up sponge (I don’t know cause I don’t wear makeup!) I hope that helps a bit.
Interesting, I've had a product like this from another company for several years. I hate seeing larger companies copy products such as these, when they have been designed and made by smaller companies
Hi Cheryl, I’m not aware of a product like it, but also remember these are from Picket Fence Studios. It’s a small business and Scrapbook.com is selling it exclusively for a week before it hits other retailers. Thanks for watching!
I totally agree with you, Cheryl! I’ve seen other really cool products made by much smaller companies and individual people that bigger companies copy! I don’t know how they get away with it, but they do! 😕😔😕
yes, right away I remembered Local King has these, BUT I like how these are separate with a cover. If they go on sale at some point with free ship I will consider. I never liked Picket Fence after they came out with super expensive brushes that you could get on Amazon super cheap.
I was wondering if you could please let me know where to get mat you did the feathers on . Can’t seem to find . I have short term memory so I forget sometimes what done is what asking if you could please message me about mat I can also just give you my email if you would like so glad I found you . Hi there. I don’t believe I said they were invented by anyone in particular but the two companies have had a discussion by the owners. I don’t know the specifics of that conversation though. Thanks for watching!
I don't know if it's helpful, but all of your lettering is backward. I, too, am old, so me and the technology aren't friends. My laptop at work will die from boredom because I use it so little. That feather is beautiful!

Great demo ... however these would take up waaay too much space in my compact crafting area so I'll stick to daubers 😍

You can make cool paper if you place some blank white, or other colors, paper under your die cuts while you ink them. Waste not, want not.
That’s a fantastic idea!
Does the colour get down on the inside of the butterfly?
