How to get the Amazon Alexa App for iOS if it's not available in your Country's store

In this Video I explain you, how you can install the Alexa App if it is not officially available in your Country. In the Video I talk about how to do it in Switzerland, but this will work anywhere.

Thank you very much. I live in Switzerland. When I change the language in German within the alexa app, it says, that I will loose some capabilities. Is that correct? I must stay in English to have all the capabilities
I will test that. My son is on a german account. I‘m on an american one. Just need some time, I am a greenhorn with Alexa

Hello and this is a nice one. I have a little complicated situation: I live in Hong Kong, bought an Echo Spot from Japan. Set up my newly registered Amazon JP (it only allowed JP site not the US), successfully I changed the language on Echo Spot to English, but the commands are very limited. I tried using an Amazon US account and it could not detect the Echo Spot. Hope anyone here could give me some light... Now I only can communicate with it on my schedules and simple commands... The news are all in Japanese :( thanks.
eddie kwong I know you won’t reply but that’s actually pretty funny, didn’t think I’d find a fellow Hongkonger with the echo dot down here in the comments.
It didn’t give the option of use new apple ID , only option available was use existing ID or cancel.. apple much been alert of this trick by now.. poor me..

Auch beim sign out klappt es wiederum nicht, denn er will obligatorisch einen verification code an das eingegebene Telefon senden ... Die sind also nicht so dumm ...

Wichtig bei allen wo es nicht funktioniert! Ihr müsst den Store nicht mehr ändern einfach Amazon Alexa eingeben und die App kommt problemlos. Und wenn ihr in die App store App geht und ihr könnt keine neue Apple ID erstellen geht zu eurem Icloud und meldet euch komplett ab das ihr nirgends mehr eingeloggt seit dann könnt ihr eine neue Apple Id erstellen ihr werdet zwar mehrfach aufgefordert euch wieder anzumelden doch einfach immer wieder abbrechen drücken und dann klappt es hoffe ich konnte euch helfen!
Hammer gutes Video. Danke für den Tipp. Nun klar es hat sich etwas verändert, aber alles in allem funktioniert der Tipp immer noch. Man muss nun den Account einfach via appleid.apple.com/account erstellen.

Hi Michael, du hast leider recht. Apple hat die Möglichkeit entfernt das man eine Apple ID auf diesen Weg erstellen kann. Muss mal schauen ob ich einen anderen Weg finde.
