This is the first of the Eastern Heroes Special Edition series of one off magazines, focused on the very best and brightest Cinematic Martial Arts Superstars. Who better to start the series with than the one and only Bruce Lee.
I'm extremely delighted and honored to be involved with this issue, I wrote the
'Five Fingers of Discs presents Boxes of Fury' section showcasing some the various Bruce Lee releases on Blu-ray past and present.

May not the question to ask here but it's BRUCE LEE related and I know your knowledge is first class. With the Japanese version of FIST OF FURY is there a different soundtrack overlaid onto the film. I remember watching a section of the end fight which was the Japanese cut of the film and I may be mistaken but it had an alternative score on it? ....
Good question! Tbh I’m not sure, I don’t think I’ve ever (knowingly) seen the Japanese version of Fist of Fury, that may be a question for Brandon Bentley, his knowledge on differing versions and soundtrack options puts my own to shame. Leave that one with me, I’ll try and find out.
I checked with Brandon Bentley for you ( he recorded the Big Boss commentary for Criterion's Box set and works on most of the 88 films and Eureka releases behind the scenes) here's what he said.....'As far as I remember, it's just the Mike Remedios version of the opening and ending themes that were swapped in... now Way of the Dragon's Japanese cut is a different story' Hope this helps!
@@TheFanaticalDragon excellent - thanks for the response. Mike Remedios soundtrack would make sense. From memory that would be the difference in percussion music in the Bruce v Baker fight, very funky. I might pick it up from Yes Asia, so with Way of the Dragon is that way different then?

Ok, I just write for it mate, don’t have anything to do with the retail side of things, where did you get it from? The Eastern Heroes website or Amazon/ Barnes and noble? The extra stuff is always limited edition, did you order the limited edition version ?
Very nice, definitely looks like something I'll want to add to my collection. When can I expect it to available through Amazon?
Think 1st Nov should be the official release date on Amazon.
Sorry but very disappointed with this release front cover and poster look amazing, but unfortunately that's about it the articles feel recycled, and poorly written, an awful lot a filler photo's that we've all seen before seems to be aimed at a new fan unfortunately, I would not recommend, sorry I love your channel but feel like I've wasted my money on this product, could have been so much better, I hate to leave a negative review but really was disappointed
Hey mate, sorry you were disappointed by it! Don't apologize for leaving a negative review, if its what you thought of the issue they totally fair enough to say so! Hope you maybe still check out issues in the future.
Yeah definitely will continue picking up the releases, I've been very impressed with the previous issues, maybe my expectations were a little to high for this one
