- Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono | KNOX first look at EICMA 2023
Knox is back again at EICMA. As well as exhibiting on our own stand, we take a bit of time out to check out the latest new models for 2024.
The third video in our series from EICMA is a quick first look at the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard Mono. In typical Ducati form, they are not doing things by halves... the Hypermoto Mono is the most powerful single cylinder motorcycle ever made, taking the crown from the iconic KTM 690 platform.
With a punchy engine, lightweight chassis and cutting edge electronics, the Hypermotard 698 Mono should perform as well as it looks. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to ride one soon!

Really, really looking forward to trying one! I've tried to blag a long termer for next season 🤞🤞
Supermoto man LambChopsRides 😆
I Havent rode in about 5yrs and this is what im getting back into. Cant wait for the Ducati of Orlando to start getting these in February.
Ive had the latest 950SP for 2 years and have ordered the 698 👌🏼
I think it's really cool that they made this bike with a single to give it a very distinctive ride and contrast to their naked twins. It just really makes it seem like it's own bike. I rode the 390 duke around a big city everyday for work and I gotta say going off how fun that was, this Ducati will be the ultimate city bike.
Looks like it'll be north of £11k for the cheapest one. No doubt it's a lovely thing and worth the money, but it's still a pretty spicey meatball. I paid a little bit less than £8k for my Gas Gas SM700 (pre-registered demo, but new with zero miles).
11k is ridiculous. lol. Ducati is only going to make us 690/701 owners realize our bikes are the better bang for buck
The sensible man buys the Gas Gas(price + colour)...enjoy!
@@JinKazama92dont buy it then lol 😂 people who have the money will buy it dnt worry
@@enderzebak2863 i wont buy it dont worry. 😅
@@enderzebak2863yeah they buy powerful bike not this single cylinder 😂😂
Bring out an adv version for offroad, that would be sweet...especially with those service intervals.❤
I have never liked motard motorcycles. I've never liked the way they look. Hasky, KTM, etc ..... nope. No way. But, I find this Ducati Hypermotard so beautiful. Looks count.
I love supermoto, but the ktm gas gas husky is ugly.
This Duke is beautiful. Unfortunately, my bank balance is not.
And the SP version will be excellent
Bring the enduro version of that now!
Hardknott and Wrynose weapon 👌
100%!
Been getting pelters for saying it's one of the most technically advanced bikes at EICMA,by people who do not understand the basics...it a bike i'd buy...anyone wanting a CCM644? :)
Looking more like offroad bike.
Adding OFFROAD tyres might be good and go to trails.😅
Someone please explain to me Supermoto style bikes on the road? What are the main difference say between the 950 Hypermotard and a Monster? Design and seat height are apparent but what about the riding experience is different? As in why choose a Motard over a Naked? I realize it's derived from the supermoto class racing but on the street only what does it give you?
Every other style of bike I get the reasons why they exist just not supermoto vs naked.
I guess the best way is to test ride them and figure out what you prefer... A supermoto is typically a motocross/enduro bike with different wheels. Super lightweight, fairly crude, but punchy motors and very crashable. These supermotard type bikes have some of those elements, but are generally more refined, have electronics and ABS. A naked bike is generally speaking more refined again, built for higher speed riding and is lower to the ground. But there is definitely a cross over and I'd recommend trying them both to really understand it first hand. Thanks, Aaron KNOX
I love them for the seat height. People can actually see you in traffic (if they look of course). You can keep up with any bike in the twisties, they have insane lean angle. If you want to be a dipshit and go on roads less traveled they are made for that! It’s hard to explain unless you’ve rode one. You just have a shit eating grin on your face the entire time. It shows you that speed isn’t everything.
Looks like it’s been based on the 821 Hyperstrada 🤷🏻
It's going to feel a lot like the KTM 690 sm because it is essentially exactly that. That's no crime, but this talk of a pioneering effort...not so much.
2:53 again no fuel guage ffs
The line on the top that goes right
