'MATCHSTICK' Technique.... WHAT IS THAT??!!!
It's a term I have just made up..;)
Hammond players use a Matchstick to pin top notes down, while they are blowing underneath. Then, when they want to raise the intensity... they just pull the match out and move it higher.
IT's SO EASY ON THE ORGAN TO DO THAT!! A lot harder on the Trombone ;(
Although
This is a great exercise in not only having stamina, but, being aware of the range and intensity you are using. Sustaining the FUNK around different parts of your instrument.
I am moving up pretty quickly ( just for social media purposes) but try and sustain your range without going above a certain note, keeping the top note in peoples ear as much as possible before you move up to the next. It's quite difficult to discipline yourself... have a go??!!
My 'MATCHSTICK' was pinned on C, Eb, E, F, G, A, Bb, B natural ( arghhh) then C... then threw it on the floor for the last few bars. ha ha ( It's a Cminor/C7 Backing track)

Impressive playing, not a massive fan of your tone, until you had a chance to take a decent breath towards the end of the track, then your buzz was on fire for a couple of bars, much cleaner sound.
Your groove is spot on.
