This tickles my pickle, looking forward to the new encoders and the easy to fit stay-alive functionality.
Thanks for loading this video … very interesting new range and look forward to seeing more details and demos going forward 👍
Very interesting - nice move, nice set up.
When will manufacturers get onboard with dead rail though🤔🤔
Excellent video
When? I’ve already preordered 2 x 8 pin sound decoders and I think it would be good if Hornby kept us informed about app and hardware release dates!
Wow guys, fantastic, the George and your team at HM, and thanks Hornby for taking the next step.
Not wanting to jump the gun, but in some future upgrade would we see it being compatible with TrainController, Freiwald, just a thought.
Very best regards
Are you going to expand the bluetooth functionality to include, control of points, turnouts, lighting within carrages, ligthing - streetlights/ buildings,
Then port all that into a total auto control system?
6:10 But what about Hornby's own pre-2022 DCC pre-installed decoders? I recall that there was some debate over Hornby DCC decoders not being exactly NMRA compliant. Not that I even use NMRA.
I'm pretty sure the Hornby decoders are NMRA compliant - I think you're thinking of the Select controller, which isn't NMRA compliant.
@@theoutcastboi Thank you, yes the Selects aren't compliant. I'm just uncertain as to how far back the backwards go for "1st/2nd Gen" Hornby decoders. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing this info ! A fantastic evolution in DCC control a affordable price. A few questions: can Function Mapping' easily' be done on the App ? Is 'consisting' with other locomotives possible ? Is the Legacy Dongle compatible with say a NCE Power Cab six pin base station - that is NMRA ? Is the chuff rate in syncro with the steam locomotives wheel rotation on the new TXS decoders ? Thanks for your reply & success. Cheers, filip
Hello - George, Do you know if this HM7000 will be able to record and play back routes as you can with the Hornby Railmaster?
What operating system does the HM 7000 use; i.e. does it only work with IOS or can it be used with Android phones and tablets?
Fabulous! How much would the whole package be? Does it only work with Hornby products?
Will other manufacturers be hot on your heels??
i bought the HM6000 when it came out and couldn't get it to apply power to the track after hours of pairing/connecting and tried to contact hornby for support, which was utterly futile, threw the hm6000 in the bin and bought a dcc system and 20 odd esu sound decoders which have worked perfectly, and vowed never to buy anything hornby ever again, good luck with this as it appears very good but i would recommend a decent functioning customer support/quality control be put in place and someone have a word with the unhinged lunatic that sets your loco prices before i even consider anything hornby.
“Unhinged lunatic” really! Do you think Hornby set them high just to annoy folk like yourself 😂
@@Haymarket47 doesn't annoy me in the slightest, hornby prices are a joke, if your happy then fair play to you and I wish you all the best, I hope you never have to deal with the customer service and all your purchases despite the cost bring you many hours of enjoyment, but rest assured they won't get a penny from me.
Hornby prices are a joke in “your opinion”.
Opinions are like a***holes sir. Everyone has one, but that doesn’t mean everyone has to listen to it.
will this work with all models like roco, bachmann, accurascale so on?
Yes, your current train doesn't know what chip is installed in it. Just select the correct type and it will work on your phone once this is released.
When battery tech is up to the job I presume.
Is it really a good idea to tell people how and what with poeple talking in the background??
Interesting, but I'd have to buy a fancy phone to use it.
I would imagine anything within the past five years would work, but we will have to wait and see. It only has to be compatible with Bluetooth and display a touch screen menu.
Problem is - Bluetooth has very limited range. This is the Achilles Heel of the Bachmann Bluetooth controller too.
What kind of distance are you talking about? I was thinking this would be a great upgrade, but if it's got limitations... 🤷♀
