      I like TN but he is wrong! He hasn't lived here long enough to understand the overt racisms that black people faced here in America! White Nationalists, KKK, Skin Heads, Neo Nazi's, stopping us from voting, white flight, red lineing, housing discrimination, Police Brutality, Job discrimination, the corrupt criminal justice system, the prison complex, Sundown towns, Jim Crow Laws, Indentured Savertued, Chain Gangs, stealing black people's property and there are many many more! See racism here is in your face you just have to have your eyes open to see it!

    The subtle racism is the worst type to have to deal with and I like that SA had an open acknowledgement of its racism and that has made it easier for SA to deal with those issues (which are not over yet by the way) but I find SA is much better in handling its race issues than America which is still so much in denial of it. Great reaction from you guys and I love the laughter and how you guys pause the video every now and then, discuss and then continue watching.

    The equator ( 0 degree latitude) divides the earth in to the northern and southern hemisphere, so when its summer in the northern hemisphere its winter in the southern hemisphere and vise versa and the equator is the only place that gets summer pretty much all year round.
    So this is why it was winter and snowing where she was in SA yet it was hot and summer where you were in the US.

    the racism is palpable, but they can't turn you away. Calling someone by their name or speaking their language/in a particular accent makes them believe that you're similar. They become soft. You get what you want and enjoy 😂

      It's still there. Very much. It's funny that whites in SA benefitted immensely and were not ashamed to openly display their racism. Post apartheid they acknowledged that the was racism but they never wanted to take responsibility for it, 2-3 years later, they didnt want to hear about it, blacks just had to forgive and forget and embrace the rainbow notion, whilst the reality is it cannot be wiped out, especially because it's consequences are very dire. White SAns still haven't taken responsibility and acknowledge the role that they played and that they're at an advantageous position due to apartheid.

Their videos have received millions of views on UA-cam. Filipinos love them. They give them a house-not one but two and one family car-as a gift. Also, the children now attend a private school. They also hired a private tutor for their English and Filipino language. Filipinos describe their skin as attractive.They look like a live human doll and... yah... they also hosted a meet and greet. - pinoy inequatorial guinea, africa

    • @gidi3250
      @gidi3250 9 днів тому +1

      The US had laws on the books, especially in Southern states, called Jim Crow laws, here in South Africa meanwhile you can still find such laws however unlike before where racial division was sought nowadays it's to give people who struggled under the previous laws a help over whites, these laws started under Mandela in 98 and Zuma abused these laws to steal millions and his Gupta friends abused these race laws to steal somewhere between 3.5 and 10.8 billion rand.

    • @gidi3250
      @gidi3250 9 днів тому +1

      Modern day loans can be rejected for numerous reasons, not enough credit rating, they have your finances and can see you'll never be able to pay them back, etc the bank wants their money back at the end of the day, so anytime they feel that you cannot do so they will step in and demand you immediately return the money or they will take whatever you put up as collateral.

  • @420_Emissary
    @420_Emissary 5 місяців тому

    Sadly, people are so triggered nowadays. As an African growing up with his comedy, People seen to not like him which I don't understand. I've always viewed Trevor Noah as "vanilla" in comparison to other comedians on the global scale. He certainly isn't profane or edgy, merely a comedic observer. Eddie Murphy, Katt Williams, Chris Rock, motherf*cking Patrice O'Neil have all been far more critical and scathing of current events/misogyny/politics etc. than he has ever been. Equally as "distasteful" yet they're seen as legends. Race seems to be the biggest detractor of his critics yet here in South Africa it's a reality that we face daily and make light of due to the melting pot of culture that's here. We constantly interact with each other, race is front and centre. Indians, Blacks, Whites, Coloureds...blatant jokes and banter is a norm. The vocal bashing of Noah is hypocritical considering the "meme culture" we currently live in, relishes in making light of race. We laugh at dark humour behind our screens yet scorn public figures. Endless meme's and reels of race-baiting: jokes on George Floyd, absent fathers, black stereotypes, Asian culture, LGBQT etc. yet we throw stones from our ivory towers. Ironic.
