Yes! 100K!! Congratulations! 🎉🥳 You are the reason why I start using sunscreen a couple of years ago!🥺 I tried both chemical and mineral sunscreens but for now I really like the new generation sunscreens. The one I am using at this moment is the Photo Reverse (very high protection) from Institut Esthederm, which is excellent for fighting hyperpigmentation. Definitely dark skin girl friendly and it’s also a great moisturizer. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I purchased the Tula a few weeks ago (because it was half off...lol) but haven't used it yet and I like the finish on you. I want to get the Supergoop Oil. Currently using the Mele' Sunscreen oil at the moment which I like a lot. Thank you for giving us options!!!

I'm currently using the Tula I love the glow that it gives me under my foundation. They have a mineral one I haven't tried yet because I'm happy with the gel.

My fave spf I've been using for over a year now is bondi sands face spf 50+, no weird cast, moisturising, I really like it! I feel like it gives the skin a nice glow too
I just bought the tula sunscreen when it was on sale at Ulta last month and I like it. I gives me a glow without being greasy.
I have stuck primarily to mineral sunscreen b/c of my melasma but I really wanna try SuperGoop! I may try Wiinnie's line too. I'm also interested in trying Tula.

Edit: I'm veer more towards mineral sunscreens. Currently trying a sample of the dennis gross one and I like it, though I'm seeing some peeling especially around the eyes when I put on makeup.

Thank you for making sun protection such a focus on your channel! I didn’t really care for supergoop unseen but am interested in the PTR because of the blurring and matte finish. I use a mix of both mineral and chemical sunscreens. My favorite mineral is from Josie Marans. She has the spf 47 (not the tinted one) that I have used for years and she recently launched a spf 33 that I am loving. I also use her body spf too. If I’m working out in the sun, then I love the Shisedo spf 50, which has this wet/heat force technology that seems to work well. I live in VA and the heat/humidity are no joke and most other SPFs are match, except this one. Otherwise, I also love the Tatcha spf

You are amazing! I love your dedication and constant tries of mineral sunscreens. You’re so dang informative and I love your channel. Thank you so much for your help with all of this. I’m using biossance sunscreen and it’s the best I’ve tried on my face. And I don’t need a moisturizer since it has squalene I’m good. But it’s not good when working out or for summer. I’m looking into trying Mele oil so we shall see! I don’t think you’ve tried that one but I did see you mention it so I’ll take that as a sign lol. Thank you again!

Congratulations on hitting 100k! And I’ve been using a mineral sunscreen from the Dollar Tree and it’s okay. Before that, I was using Black Girl Sunscreen and It burned my eyes but I stuck it out.

My holy grail sunscreen is the La Roche Posay Shaka SPF 50+ fragrance free sunscreen and also the new Uvmune one. I did try a sample of the Eucerin Oil Control sunscreen that my derm gave me and I really liked it too. I have oily skin. I applied moisturizer, waited for it to absorb and then applied the Eucerin.

Please try the coola refreshing water cream Spf. It’s chemical but it seems really elegant & light. Also the mad hippie Spf 30+ serum!! It’s mineral but looks promising since it’s a serum texture, it might just work for dark skin.
Just found vanicream mineral sunscreen and it's a must try. The only one I have tried that does not leave a white cast and I have medium deep skin tone.

I am reviewing the PTR one soon too and am excited for that one. Bummer the Cay skin wasn't as great on deeper undertones as I'd thought. I wonder who that one would be a good fit for, medium-tan maybe? I want to try that Cay one but I am nowhere near bronze so still deciding if I should review it or not. I did order her balm tho bc so many taste like spf crap lol and it's supposed to taste good. I don't want to eat my spf 😂
Yeah as an acne sufferer I'd be worried about breakouts with the Sunbum one and the fragrance for the face. But it seemed like it had a pretty glow

This is a first. I’ve tried several of these sunscreens. I like shimmer because I can’t be bothered to wear makeup. I am so happy that the ones I tried leave a glow with out greasiness. Also, I’m so surprised these chemical sunscreens didn’t burn my eyes. So, ThankYouFarmer shimmer, Cay Skin Isle Glow and Tula Protect+Glow have been great.
I’ve been using mineral because they usually don’t burn my eyes but these chemical ones are stepping up their game.

I use mineral sunscreen. I have been using Live Tinted sunscreen. I have tried so many. It is easy for me to put on my face. I also like Tower 28 Tinted sunscreen but it is more like a foundation which surprised me because the site said sunscreen but now they are calling it more of a foundation. It also great for people who have eczema.
I just tried the supergoop every single face and it left me sooooo greasy, I also thought it was going to be similar to Korean and Japanese sunscreens and I was highly disappointed. I will go back to Unseen or try the Peter Roth!
Thanks for sharing. I searched your videos for the Cetaphil daily oil free moisturizer with SPF 35 but it didn’t come up. Have you tried it? It’s lightweight lotion with antioxidants and some other good ingredients. Best of all It has no cast . I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Yes Miss Gray, I had The watery every.single face and it greasy yes. The Alcohol had me at first and shine catch me later but guess what I would use this during the winter months. Not Shug Knight,LOL
I wanna try to Eucerin so bad. I’m oily all year round 24/7 even in my sleep 😂. Can’t find it anywhere in nyc and refuse to order online. I’m hesistant because I see no claims of water resistance and that scared me for the summer. I sweat bullets. All this to say, imma still buy it and add it to my stash 😭😂 thanks for the video of course!
Chemical sunscreens all the way! Mineral sunscreens dry me out a bit or cause tiny bumps.
I use super goop I like the shiny look and it doesn’t leave a white cast but I do something different by putting Vaseline on first then put the sunscreen
Congratulations on 100k. You told me about the Kroger dupe for Supergoop sunscreen. When I tell you about the comparison.😯🤯 I went walking for 30 minutes (sunny day it was not hot) with half my face with Kroger brand dupe and Supergoop the Kroger won. It seem like Kroger Brand was still there while Supergoop had kind of faded ( I was test by the look and feel even though I sweat) The Kroger brand does have some different percentage though. My wallet want to say thank you because the Kroger brand gave me way more product than Supergoop for money.

Thank you so much this was a excellent video and like you said to get our people are people are are stubborn let you know that son is not playing right now you know I’m medium brown skinned on the caramel complete color golden under tones but I’m still in the medium area but the UVs are getting so bad I’m starting to burn I’m turning red and I’m peeling which that has never been an issue for me growing up saying I just I won’t play with the sun. I still tan we’re out in the water on the light in the boat constantly and I still tan like I normally always do I just don’t burn to death and it’s nice guy use Hawaiian tropic face sunscreen it doesn’t cause me any burning and it’s more of a do we look for a little while and then it evens out but it does not give me a cast or ashiness and I love my Manantial radiance comes out just fine eyewear inside outside every day
Most chemical sunscreens sting my eyes, so I use mineral sunscreens like cerave tinted around my eyes and chemical on the rest of my face.
I don’t even wear chemical spf on my face bc of the eye sting but I’m still watching because I love your sense of humor in your commentary on these products. 😂 regarding cayskin: it’s wild that the mineral sunscreen left a stronger cast on my medium-brown skin than on your richer skin tone! Mineral sunscreens wear so differently on different skin types and tones it’s impossible to predict how it’ll look on you based on how it looks on someone else.
lmaoooo thanks for watching! Did you use anything right before the Cay Skin? I find that if the skin is still a little damp from water or your serum or moisturizer, that the cast can be way more apparent.
@@styleandbeautydoctor I *think* I did everything the way I normally would on a dry face, but then I did wonder where I went wrong because I’ve seen this wear beautifully on a range of skin tones. I just figured I have a huge arsenal of other mineral spf that doesn’t do me dirty like that LOL so I immediately returned. 😂 I was also bummed because the chemical one wore beautifully on me and then 5 hrs later my eyes started watering like crazy. I must have touched my face and then my eyes. 😭

I love the Eucerin sunscreen, it’s perfect for Texas weather. However I buy the European version, which I think spreads a bit better. I normally only buy Japanese and Korean sunscreens but glad I gave the Eucerin a try.

what's the difference between European and the ones they sell in the USA? Generally curious, I didn't know a company made didn't formulas for different countries.. lol
@@amandaperry4916 the European version has newer sunscreen filters in it which are not approved for use in the US. Thus their formulas are generally more elegant to use.
You will find that if a company comes out with the same sunscreen in the US the formulation can often feel different due to this.
BIOSSANCE has the best moisturizers and sunscreen.
Yea older black people look at me crazy when I say I need to reapply my sunscreen but the younger ones get it especially If they have dark marks

I tried the coola and it does leave a cast on my skin. My foundation shade match is too faced chai if that’s helps anyone. I love the scent of this product but the pearlescence is too much for brown skin.
Retinol had made my skin super sensitive. I need oil control but anything specifically made for oil control burns
I would focus more on hydrating things right now for a bit. Your skin may get acclimated to the retinol and then you can use oil control products, but for now chill lol
People say mineral spfs don't sting your eyes?! Chileeeeeee the worst eye burning I've experienced has been from a particular mineral spf. Why does it seem like there are so many myths to make mineral spfs sounds good/better than organic filters? Just use what you like enough to use properly.

@@mignonalverson655 yes, a few I've tried over the past few years that burned! Only one of the chemical sunscreens in the same time burned my eyes. I tried a mineral sunscreen by COTZ years ago that I don't remember causing me any trouble, but I was probably underapplying so it had less opportunity to even get near my eyes 😄
I tried the Eucerin Age Defense too! Did you notice how fast the dry down is on it? It went from spreadable to CEMENTED on my skin in like 5 seconds and it's frustrating lol
oh no! I didn't notice that at all---felt pretty smooth for me.
@@styleandbeautydoctor omg I'm glad you had a better experience than I did! I've done some experimenting with it tho and it spreads better when I shmear on a ton of moisturizer before I apply it, I have VERY dry skin so I think it just soaks in too quickly for my skin on an average day

The Eucerin oil control sunscreen was so greasy on me. I live in a warm desert environment. It made my skin so oily I couldn’t work with it and had to return it😕

Oil sunscreen: Nope. Strong fragrant sunscreen: Nope. Silicone feel sunscreen: Nope. Mineral showing white cast sunscreen: Definitely Nope. What I want. Fragrance free, EO free, alcohol free, water resistant sunscreen that's lightweight. HARD AF to find. 😭
