Another ship and the first for 2024 has been deployed/sunk to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico just outside of the Destin Pass on the South East Corner of LARS A (Large Artificial Reef System). Alex Fogg and his team from the Okaloosa County Tourism Department has been busy giving us awesome reefs to fish and scuba dive here in the Panhandle of Florida

About Active Duty Outdoors:
I started this channel to prove to my son that I could get to 1000 subscribers...check! I was an Active Duty Air Force member with over 23 years of service and now retired. My career had brought me to some awesome locations that I was able to call home, from the Rocky Mountains to the Swamps of South Georgia and everywhere in between! After retiring, we moved to Navarre Florida where I can fish and scuba dive right out my back door...almost. My family and I have a strong passion for the outdoors from hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, to SCUBA diving and spearfishing. Where will we go next?
We crushed 6,000 subscribers!! Thank you to all of you who have clicked the subscribe button, you all are AWESOME!

Enjoyable video!!
Thank you!
FIRST!!
Hell yeah!!
Nice. Can’t believe it already had a lionfish on it. That’ll be a cool dive once the sediment settles. Looks like lots of cool swim throughs too.
It was crazy to see the Lionfish there! It’s going to be an amazing ship to dive in a few months!
Great video! Man, the FL panhandle has really been doing some great work sinking wrecks and reef modules left and right. I've dove in PCB and Pensacola, but now I'll have to add this to my list (I also want to check out the Destin jetty).
Destin is becoming a diving Mecca thanks to Alex and his team, they are always planning something. I have yet to dive the jetties but it is on my list for sure!
That’s really cool
Yeah it is.
Thanks for sharing. Looks awesome!
It was a really cool ship to see go down.
Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the super thanks!😊
That is so sick! That thing is going to be loaded with snapper in the summer. And lions apparently. Where the heck did he come from?
It will be loaded for sure! I heard that there might be a private number near it. I guess it was close enough for that Lionfish to come investigate.
Cool
Thank you. Another one is coming soon.
Awesome
Hopefully it gets 1,000,000 views. 😂
I want to see it after one or more years
Same! It’s going to have a ton of life on it next year!
Bruh how did that thing already have a lionfish on it 😂
That’s what I said!! I think we dropped it pretty close to a chicken coop.
Also how did they sink it?
They had pre cutout holes in and pulled the plug once they got it in position.
If that's massive, how do you describe the QE2?
Uber-massive. 😂 the QE2 is still floating though, correct?
Why do they do this?
To create artificial reefs. The gulf is pretty barren so these ships create a fish haven.
Any one have the coordinates
It’s in the video on the bottom right of the screen during the diving portion.
What a waste of scrap metal
I have about a million anglers and almost just as many divers who would disagree.
Well theres your pollution and global warming
LOL! Now that is a very intelligent comment. Pollution and global warming. Please explain your comment on how a ship that has been stripped of all it's components other than the steel structure causes pollution and global warming. This should be interesting. If you finished the video you would have heard that my area of study is in Environmental Science so I would expect a comment that cites its sources (and please no wikipedia). When you're done, do me a favor and Like the video and Subscribe to the channel. I appreciate your support.
