- Hi!
I made this swipe a few days ago.
As a smaller test canvas, before I did the slightly larger one, but as a test for the colors.
At first I didn't like her.
I was especially bothered by that bouncy thing in the top right corner.
But I had left her out to dry on my counter.
And every time I did a little washing up, I got to see her.
Slowly I started to love her.
Because look at the details! And the dynamics are just right, it really stands out!!
I had made recordings, but was too unsure about the end result to edit them.
Luckily I still did it!!
Hope you enjoy her too!
Sleep well x
How I make my BASE:
Talens Art Creation Titanium White and Owatrol floetrol (1:3 minimal water added). I do this in portions (cups) of 35 grams of Titanium White and 105 grams of Owatrol, and usually add 5 grams of water. I make larger stocks of this, and always try to let it rest for at least 2 days so that it has fewer air bubbles
The COLORS I used:
TLP Parakeet
ColourArte PE Citrine Druzy
Golden Interference Orange
Golden QNAG
Golden Transparent Brown Iron Oxide
Golden Green Gold
Golden Sap Green Hue
Golden Van Dyke Brown
I MIX MY COLORS also with Owatrol floetrol. Ratio depends on the pigmentation and thickness of the paint, also a very small amount of water added for consistency, but slightly thinner than the base.
I first wet my PIGMENTS with a little JoSonja varnish until I have a paste. Then I add a small scoop of binder (Caparol). I also use Owatrol as PM with the pigments and that is not paint. It therefore lacks the binding. And I personally don't like it when colors become 'runny'. So that's how I solve it. Then I also add Owatrol floetrol to this, I do that by eye, in the same consistency as the other colours.
I make my CELL ACTIVATOR with acrylic paint and Australian floetrol (1:2). I used Amsterdam Titanium White here. For the Gold cell activator I mix two different types of Gold. I use Golden Bright Gold and Amsterdam Deep Gold (1:3 approximately). Because Amsterdam works well, and Golden to make the color more beautiful!
Very cool! There were so many “looks” between spins that were great too!
Thank you so much!! Spinning is always the most exciting!! ❤
Beautiful! Love the color palette and the scoop and drag technique.
Thank you very much, it's so much fun to do too!! 😊
Amazing. ❤❤❤
Awesome cells and lacing!
Thank you so much!! 💚
Awesome swipe spun out pour. Like the Autumn season inspired color palette you have been using for this painting Suzan 👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️😘
Yay! Autumn colours, nice and plant-like, botanical! Thank you very much!! 💚🤎💛
Heel mooi Suzan. De kleuren passen zo goed bij elkaar.
Ik loop wat achter.....oeps! 😅Dankjewel Janneke, toch weer een keertje sapgroen! 😉💚
do u have any videos you talk in?
No, sorry Valerie. I'm more of an introvert, I never thought I would do this, make videos and show 'myself' like this. But I find hearing my own voice uncomfortable, so I like to do it this way! In addition, my English pronunciation is not that good either, so I'd rather spare you that 😅😉
