I intentionally purchased a left handed Porter Cable corded saw way back in the day, even though I am right handed. Always thought it made more sense. I have two 393s. May never get the other, mostly for that reason. Oh, and I still have the P.C., and still love it.
That 6.5” saw is sweet. It is so light and easy to handle. The brushed is better than the same size brushless version. I have the flexvolt advantage saw instead because I prefer blade right for cross cutting 2x4’s. I normally rip cut with a rear handle metabo or my tracksaw so no need for the left blade saw anymore and I sold it.
Nice little saw, but absolutely the worst owner’s manual I’ve ever seen, and if someone is new to this type of saw, that manual is an abomination. It’s printed on cheap newsprint and the ink is so light that it’s nearly impossible to read. Poor drawings in it, too. Despite the idiocy of the manual, it’s a decent saw.
Im a lefty and i like blade right even though sawdust spits towards me, easier to sight down the blade.

I prefer the motor on the right side so I can see what I am cutting and the lighter saw is easier to use in most cases. No problem cutting 2x6 stock.
DCS565
Either one of those in the kit for $399 kit with 2 free tools.
FYI, my Dewalt 20v 2AH battery will NOT fit in my Dewalt DCS578 FlexVolt Circular Saw...

First consideration: Left blade saws is for left hand people. Right blade for right handers.
