It’s a testament to how much she trusts Katie and her parents that she’s like yea you can do whatever, but when some stranger comes around him she’s like I have my eye on you
Thanks so much for sharing all your videos. You are a awesome Mother for all you're babies. Happy to see this checkup it's really cool to see what you go through after birthing a baby horse. Thanks as always.
I love that you care and take such good care of your animals. Love the horses and the mini cows and the goats. Rock on Girl you’re doing a great job. ❤
He is so dang cute. It looks like she talks to him and tells him to settle down. She is fun to watch as well. It is totally crazy how different each mare is with their baby.
MRS. KATIE VS- I can’t wait for GOD to bless you & your husband with your bundles from heaven. You are gonna be such a wonderful mother. Just look at how much you love on your animals. Little humans are very different than farm animals, but you’d have to be blind to not see all the love you have to give. I’m not in your pockets or counting your coins but it looks like you’d be able to provide your children with a great life. What little boy wouldn’t wanna grow up living on his very own farm… riding tractors, dirt bikes ATV’s. what little girl do you know that doesn’t want a pony. We all wanted ponies growing up. I’m 41, and I still want one 😢…😂 but, you & Jonathan are gonna be great parents.I also have pcos, along with endometriosis: So your struggles 😅😅😅😅are my struggles and your wins are our wins too😢😢😢😢 & one of us has to have our happily ever after🎉😂🎉😂😂🎉❤ 😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😅
I'm so glad you shared his birth story. I was really looking forward to hearing it. Did her foal alert not go off? He's so beautiful and she's such a good momma
Another beautiful baby and isn’t she just the most relaxed mommy so cute I love how you love on all your animals they are truly blessed to be in your hands…and you saying that about boys being a little slower is also true in humans I was a NICU nurse for 25 years and that was definitely the case there also…
Hello! The video is great as always! We have a lot of horses in the stud farm (video on my channel), trotters. Now, too, the foaling continues, and the breeding season too. Some foals also need to be placed under the mother's udder, and some even drink their mother's milk from the nipple for the first time until they get stronger and suck the udder themselves.
Such a beautiful colt. I always loved horses I still do. Im glad to see how well you take care of all your animals. Do mama horses want people to stay away from her new baby?
I can’t speak for all horses but from what I’ve seen of Katie’s horses most of them don’t mind her or her parents being around their baby. Only Trudy got a bit protective with her foal Penelope for the first couple of weeks I think
SoI just started watching your videos and made me fall in love with horses again. But my stupid question is how does frozen semen work exactly? I don’t have a farm or I don’t live on a farm. But I’ve been around farms and such.
How handsome is that baby foal ❤ l might consider calling him Valentino or Vientiane....new subscriber from England UK This is the BEST horse channel lve come across thankyou
Black, bay, and chestnut/sorrel are the main colors the rest except grey are dilutions of them. There are too many. Trudy and Beyonce are Bay. Gracie is grey. If you see a horse that appears white it's probably grey. They can lighten up as they age. Erlene is a chestnut/sorrel. They are the same. I think it's Indy she's black. Palomino is a blonde horse. Buckskin is a blondish body with black points like a bay. Duns can be similar and there are shades of dun. Cremello and Perlino are double dilutes and not that common. Cremello are paler and are a double dilutes on chestnut. Perlino are a double dilutes on bay. There are also Champagne, Mushroom (only in Shetlands), Pearl, and Silver Dapple. There are also different shades to some of these colors like a liver chestnut is a dark chestnut. There are also shades of dun, bay, and grey. Then there are the patterns leopard complex, pinto (Paints are a breed), and Roaning. So little Phin is a bay roan. Roan just has white hair mixed in on the body, neck, and some leg.
@Eissma Hussain genetics are fun. A cremello and perlino can never produce a bay or chestnut/sorrel. Depending on the other parent, it will probably be palomino or buckskin. For example, if she bred Erlene to a cremello, she get a palomino. If you bred a perlino to a cremello, it actually depends on the other genes they have. Like does the perlino carry the silver gene? Do the parents have the black gene? Most likely to get a perlino or cremello, but the other genes could change it. For example, if the baby inherits the gene for a black coat, it is a smoky cream. The silver gene only works on bay and black.

I hear it can cause trauma if you don’t let them go when they start struggling like that. It causes the freeze response and it’s very traumatic. Much like when a baby is taken from their parents and kept in a hospital. People grow up with psychological issues from it.
Phin wasn’t being held that long. He was a necessary precaution to protect everyone while he was being checked. Plus momma was right there the entire time. If she was really concerned about the foal Beyoncé would have let them know. He’s still a really good boy now that he’s older. No trauma 😊
You sounds like me at the doctors with my kids and also me talking to my boyfriend about us planning baby #4 😂 I was just saying last night how my cycle is this&if I got pregnant now my due date would be Dec 31th so I was talking about how we have to wait at least 2 or 3 more months cause we are shooting for a March or May baby! Cause my oldest sons birthday is in Feb my daughter& I's birthday is in April then my youngest is in Jan! It's frustrating at times lol 😂
I believe they were discussing the muscles being tight and they aren't able to fully straighten their legs. She had another foal that had to have their legs wrapped for a couple days earlier this year.
I know it gets crazy with my cows there’s no way I’m trying too keep up with horses and to it all or mines I just don’t have any time. All my time goes into my cow and my 4 bulls and calves overflow then from year to year you can get to mine babies cow to feeders or milk for the babies get thrown crazy because your grain have been feeding your cows had been changed without you knowing it.And it be one grain that gets changed that you paid no attention to then grass you bail
Beyoncé is like "look I'm a free-range momma except today, I'm a helicopter momma." 😂 Thank you for sharing Phineas' first checkup with us.❤

Beautiful foal but so is his Mom! ❤

He is gorgious
Nobody can convince me that these foals aren’t just grass puppies

So Beyoncé had 2 boys this year! She’s never had boys before! That’s so cool!!
Did you do a live on instagram because I didn’t see one

Wow Beyonce isn't eating in this video 😅
Oh well spoke too soon she's eating at the end😊
Will you breed Annie ever again?
I think u should keep phin he’s gorgeous like his mama
He is my favorite baby🥰
Do you milk your mares for colostrum; save it and freeze it ? For in case of emergency?
He is so darn cute
His little feet were sticking out, but her foal alert didn't go off?
❤ so cute
Oh, do the mares ever get a time out? I couldn't imagine being pregnant year round.
Johnny was definitely moldy cheese😂

Did the foal allert not work?
Beyonce is definitely keeping an eye on the process.
Katie, can you explain what 'over the knee' means? I'm sure I could Google it, but you're my horse guru Google lady 😂
I believe they were discussing the muscles being tight and they aren't able to fully straighten their legs. She had another foal that had to have their legs wrapped for a couple days earlier this year.
Can you address the medication and it’s impact to the breast milk?
He’s a really beautiful baby. I hope he doesn’t get ugly 😂

All the mares have had beautiful babies. Im sure Ethels will be the same in just a week or so. Congrats
Oh my beyonce has stopped eating and taken notice does she get check up as well
Trudy would have bit your hand off😂
Hahaha moldy cheese!!!! They all have that phase 😅
It takes 4-6 hours for foals to clear the fluids from their lungs. Totally normal and nothing to freak out about.
😊so stinking cute 😍
Foal alert didnt go off ?
Jack!
First time I've seen mama concerned.
