Europeans Struggling With Simple Geography For 5 Minutes Straight

- I spent the past few years going on Omegle and quizzing Europeans on geography. Usually, they were able to answer my questions correctly. Every now and then though I'd come across a European who'd struggle with my question and either take a lot of time to answer or not answer at all. Here are some highlights.

And I'd defend the Albanian girl, maybe her mind was just focused on "Shqipëria" w/ her own country
The Albanian girl sounded British so she most likely was born and raised in the UK which probably made her momentarily forget about Albania. That's just my take though; I could be wrong.
The guy is right: The country is called Egypt in summer and Norway in winter. That's for marketing reasons to attract different kinds of tourists - those who want to ski and those who want to swim.

This seems to only be a thing for geography I've noticed. Any other subjects that are tested on people for general knowledge, people will usually do okay most of the time; but even "smart" will people will still find a way to butcher elementary geography questions. It's unbelievable.
"What are the names of three countries where people speak German."
"Deutschland, Schweiz, Österreich."
"Sorry that's wrong. It's Germany, Switzerland and Austria."
I think the people are usually chillin on that app and not using their minds at all so your questions put them on the spot and their mind goes blank. Most of them knew the answers but couldn't tell it on the spot. and you being immersed in geography so long, makes it mind boggling for you that they can't even answer simple basic geography. The least to say is that they have not gotten as much exposure, and if they even do, they did not pay attention to it because it is not relevant and of importance to them. Maybe, a fun conversation beforehand could engage them more and they might answer better then?.......

There are different models. 4, 5, and the most used 6 and 7 continent Model where in the 6 continent model North and South America are seen as 1 continent, called America. It's basically a trick question as depending on where you live the answer can be different. Also in many countries, Australia is not a continent, it's called Oceania and consist out of Australia, New Zeeland and a whole bunch of other small countries.
There is no reason to count North and South America as one continent and still consider Europe, Asia, and Africa separate continents.
@@Unqualifiedtake that would be the 4 continent model, Afro-Eurasia, America, Antarctica, and Oceania. Antarctica isn't a continent in this model.
