19 for a high in Iowa today. We seem to get much colder than most people think with many times during the winter being colder and snowier than Alaska and Canada. Also many are surprised when visiting during the summer how Iowa gets super hot humid and sticky. I am surprised Tennessee gets so much snow and coldish temperatures. I wouldn’t mind 40’s and 50’s for highs in the winter. Maybe I need to look a little farther south if I want to get away from snow.

To me, it gets hot in Iowa but it’s not bad. I’m from Biloxi Mississippi which is on the Gulf Coast and we get to the 90s even sometimes reaching 103 degrees. It’s very humid, but the coastal breeze cools us off a little bit. We also tend to get cold, not very cold, but cold in the Winter because of the humidity. We’re far north enough to get a little cold. We may not get snow except for once or twice a decade but we do get frost

I've seen it snow on the 4th of July in Wyoming.

A wet cold makes winters worse, but I love the cold. It gets colder because of the humidity. Way colder than Denver

Hi Brenna! Would it surprise you to learn that the winters in some cities and towns of Canada are noticeably milder than Middle Tennessee with MUCH rarer snowfall (most years receive not even a single snowfall!). Does this information surprise you?

Hello Brianna, do you service Cookeville and sparta areas selling homes? We live in Wisconsin and know winter very well. Tennessee winter looks like a warm vacation. We're interested in buying a home there and moving. Please touch base with me. Thanks William

Is there any place in Tennessee where you are sure to get a white Christmas?

Oh gosh! I’m not sure! I would say East Tennessee would be your best bet because of the elevation but there is not guarantee in Tennessee. I have noticed we get a lot of our snowfalls after the new year.

Would be great to not advertise Tennessee an making Tennessee over crowded an prices keep going up.

Prices have always gone up. Land went for $1.25 acre for 100 years then went up. In my family I remember being scolded for asking for 50 cents to go to the movies. Mom paid 10 cents and grandpa paid a nickel.
