@@belldandypleb5610 well, it is partially true, though it’s less about Sirius trying to replace James with Harry and more about the fact that Sirius never got to fully process that James was actually dead while in Azkaban, and went through some serious mental trauma, so when Harry comes back as a near copy of his dad, Sirius kind of mistakes him for James. But yeah, that line really did a disservice to the both of them. Despite the fact that Sirius did kind of mistake him for James, he still understood in his heart that Harry was his own person, his godson, and someone he cared about. The line basically makes it seem like Sirius was just replacing James with Harry, and disregards how much Harry and Sirius really cared about each other.

So while it does seem like she’s just trying to hold Harry back - at least in Harry’s perspective - she was just trying to make sure Harry wasn’t going into a trap.
It will never Happen, Harry Potter will never die but the thought that JK almost killed him but then changed her mind its somehow a real end (just my opinion)

If you look at the way he held Harry back, it becomes quite obvious that by doing so he's restraining himself too, like if it hadn't been for that young, lonely, heartbroken boy they all still had to protect he would have gone after Sirius, through the veil, himself.

I literally cried my eyes out whn Sirius died it's so sad especially seeing Harry's reaction and how much it affected him
I lost my god father when I was 3/4 years old because of depressions. He was the greatest person i've never knew. I will never forgive myself that I didn't notice. Harrys and Sirius Relationship makes me feel like somebody understands me and Like he's still by my side. I miss him so much, I wish he would be still here.
I hope I'll see him again someday. I miss you ♥️
