this video was so helpful. I'm a rising senior and I'm nervous about my chances of admission to #HU22 . I have a 3.84 (like 3.114 uw) gpa, currently a 1050 SAT score (still waiting on new test scores) and community service, leadership roles and church envolvement in spades. also while having two jobs to help my family. do you think my chances are good enough for EA? or should I wait for regular and build my resume up more?
I have a 3.2uw/4.2w and I have a bunch of extracurriculars, community service hours, and a few leadership roles.. do you think I would be okay applying early decision or would you recommend regular decision?
Freshman and Sophomore year is when is when you're taking classes that are a bit easier so it's a good time to keep your grades high so you won't have to worry as much about raising your GPA senior year.
This is really helpful. But I’m extremely nervous about getting in. As of now my unweighted gpa is a 3.57, act is a 20🙃 As of now I’m in cheer, black student union, tri-m, leadership, I’m volunteering a lot and I jus wanna know if there’s anything else that I should work on that would help me get in??
Please don’t tell students not to consider the money? Student loan debt is real post graduation . You may get in but looking at the big picture of staying there is a reality . If your money is not long enough to stay 4 years don’t get caught up.
I haven’t taken my ACT yet but I took the SAT and got a 1100 do you think I should apply early or wait until I get a decent ACT score so I can get a scholarship
Hey Asha! I am a high school graduate. I have got very good GPA with a strong ECAs. But, unfortunately, my SAT scores didn't turn out to be as good as expected. It's 1200+. Is there any chance I will get in if I apply early? And, what will you encourage me to do? I need a genuine advice. Also, if I get accepted, is there any chance I will get full tuition? I want scholarship so badly. Thanks!
What advice can you give on how you scored so high on the ACT? Techniques, strategies, etc. (I'm hoping to be hu22 and I would love to hear from someone who did so well.)
Cey'Wan H. I'm going to be so honest I really couldnt tell you. The only thing I studied was math because I've always struggled with it. DM me on instagram and I can tell you more: @ashathemagnificent
I looked at your video, very interesting with a lot of information I needed to hear. I am interested in going to Howard too. My GPA is a 3.75. How far do they want to know about your service work? Needing help in this area.
Thanks for getting back with me and sorry it took so long to reply. What do you think about the historical black college tour coming up in June? That is something I am working on.
I’m willing to do any and everything to get in to Howard
Jordyn TV deep down I really felt this 💯💯

So junior year is the most important year that colleges mostly look at
So what about freshman and sophomore year I’m still confused

does Howard go by weighted or unweighted gpa?

Malik Jones hey! any service you did during high school you should put down
Thanks for getting back with me and sorry it took so long to reply. What do you think about the historical black college tour coming up in June? That is something I am working on.
Malik Jones Do it for sure! Any opportunity you’re given to tour colleges you should take
