Japan Day @ Central Park is an annual outdoor festival in NYC. It started in 2007 as a way to say “Thank You” to the city of New York for being such a gracious home to the Japanese community.
In 2020, the pandemic took the festival’s organizers by surprise, and therefore was canceled.
For 2021, the organizers were planning to do the festival outdoors, but with the city’s restrictions still in place for large scale outdoor events, Japan Day decided to go online.
