In this scene I perform the role of the gypsy Zemfira from Rachmaninov's opera "Aleko" (based on Pushkin's poem "Gypsies"). Here she harshly declares to her jealous husband that she despises him and loves another (by the end of the opera, he stabs her and her lover, such a plot often happens in stories with gypsies)) For the artistically accurate embodiment of this image, I almost for the first time in my life threw off fear-shyness and showed the temperament - passionate, proud, unbridled... In general - Gypsy)) During my studies, I was so surrounded by the framework of "how not to behave on stage" that they imposed the fear of showing open sensuality and emotionality while singing. As a result, I automatically turned on the appearance of a girl completely "safe", defenseless and sacrificial - even in those roles where something completely different was required. But in fact, I can express myself artistically in completely different ways! It turns out that my emotional range on stage or in front of the camera is no less than the range of my voice)) And what is your impression of my Zemfira? What emotions did you feel? В этой сцене исполняю партию цыганки Земфиры из оперы Рахманинова "Алеко" (по поэме Пушкина "Цыгане"). Здесь она в жёсткой форме объявляет ревнивому мужу, что его презирает, а любит другого (к финалу оперы он её и её любовника закалывает, такой сюжет нередко бывает в историях с цыганками)) Для художественно точного воплощения этого образа я чуть ли не впервые в жизни отбросила страх-стыдливость и проявила темперамент - страстный, гордый, необузданный... В общем - цыганский)) В годы учёбы меня настолько обложили рамками того, "как нельзя вести себя на сцене", что навязали страх проявлять во время пения открытую чувственность и эмоциональность. В итоге у меня автоматически включался вид девочки совершенно "безопасной", беззащитной и жертвенной - даже в тех произведениях/ролях, где требовалось совсем иное. Но на самом деле я могу артистически проявляться совершенно по-разному! Оказывается, мой эмоциональный диапазон на сцене или перед камерой ничуть не меньше диапазона моего голоса)) А какое впечатление от моей Земфиры у вас? Какие эмоции вы почувствовали? I don't know what's been going on with her recently but she used to be a teenaged dramatic soprano. She didn't sing this particular piece but her voice would've been perfect for this.
